11/02/2025: It was a real pleasure to find this restaurant in the hills south of Bologna. From the start, Chef Andrea and his staff offered warm hospitality and simple explanations of their regional dishes. Between the salami dish, the tortellini in brodo, and the maccherone al ragù bianco dish, I really appreciated the mix of creativity and tradition with a light touch. Coming from Australia and living in Italy for years, I have been fortunate to have eaten good food all over Italy and beyond. Antica Trattoria La Grotta 1918 is truly a place to visit, and I will be returning with friends and family in the future. Thanks to Chef Andrea and Staff!

10/02/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday 8 February, intrigued by the numerous positive reviews and the Michelin Bib Gourmand badge. What can I say, chef Andrea Funi and all his staff reserve special attention for all customers. The chef, who is very present in the room, describes dishes, raw materials and preparations with commendable dedication. The dishes are simple traditional dishes but executed to perfection. We also returned for the Sunday lunch service, thanks to the chef who found us a table even though the restaurant was fully booked. In doing so we also tried other dishes including the fresh pasta rigorously rolled with a rolling pin by Mrs. Elena. Exceptional. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

09/02/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante che ci piace da sempre per il suo aspetto familiare e dove si mangia benissimo. Infatti antipastino con crostini vari ai funghi e pomodori, strepitose le pappardelle al cartoccio come pure le tagliate, gli straccetti e le patate al forno. Un buon vino e per finire la crema fritta! Il tutto accompagnato dalla musica del nostro musicista preferito. Ve lo consigliamo e an eh noi torneremo presto.

17/02/2025: An Always Special Welcome My partner and I often come to this restaurant and every time we really feel at home. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, also thanks to the lady in the dining room who always makes us feel welcome, and the waiters who are always very kind and attentive, ready to satisfy our every request. The food is always excellent, each dish is carefully prepared and never disappointing. One of our favorites TORTELLONI STUFFED WITH RICOTTA WITH SPECK AND FINGHI, SAUSAGE AND BEANS, PAPPARDELLE WITH BOAR RAGÙ. And let's not forget the pignoletto ISOLA FRIZANTE, which always manages to surprise us with its freshness and taste. If you are looking for a place to feel pampered and eat well, this restaurant is definitely a choice that never disappoints. Keep it up!

We had tagliatelle Bolognese, pappardelle with wild boar ragout, sliced ​​meat with rosemary and baked potatoes. Good value for money and quality materials

Unfortunately, however, the crescentine were a little too heavy for me to digest. I expected something more from their breads, not bad wine, a sparkling pignoletto a little too frizz. The young waiters are kind and at the same time friendly and coordinate well.
