The food was absolutely delicious; we're still talking about it. Andrea explained everything to us in detail and gave us excellent advice. We've rarely eaten so well. He also has fantastic wines and non-alcoholic drinks that he makes himself. The pasta is also freshly rolled and prepared on-site. We'll definitely be back; Bologna is very conveniently located for a stopover.

An exceptional experience in every way. The dishes, besides being exquisite, tell a story that the chef personally describes table by table, recounting their conception, creation, and strong connection to the region. The valorization of local ingredients is at the heart of everything. ​A special thanks goes to the chef's great availability and care in managing my partner's food intolerances. We booked this restaurant without knowing it, just by looking at online reviews. After eating at Chef Andrea Funi's restaurant, we can confirm the high ratings. The food was excellent, as were the chef's explanations of the menu and the wines he produces. A wonderful experience, excellent food and wine, and good service. We highly recommend it!

We went for lunch on Saturday and luckily we found Chef Andrea: besides being a great chef, he's a friendly, knowledgeable host with an eye for detail. The restaurant retains the soul of a historic trattoria, enhanced by design elements by Gavina, and also features a truly exceptional outdoor terrace. We tasted several dishes, from the great classics to the chef's own creations, and not a single one was anything but spectacular. The pasta is hand-rolled on the spot, right in front of you in the dining room, and the ingredients are all locally sourced. There are also unique dishes invented and patented by the chef, who even produces his own wine. I can't wait to return to try everything I didn't get to this time. Congratulations!

We visited on a Saturday for lunch and had a truly special experience. We were welcomed by Andre Funi, who passionately explained the restaurant's history and concept, the meticulous sourcing of raw materials, and the attention to detail paid to each ingredient, selected with respect and sensitivity for the local area. It was wonderful to see the hand-rolled pasta in the main dining room: an authentic gesture that speaks of tradition, care, and love for cooking. The dishes were all excellent, balanced, and full of personality. You could clearly taste the quality of the ingredients and the work that goes into each preparation. The chef, in addition to being an excellent cook, is a true artist: each dish manages to combine technique, creativity, and emotion. A place where hospitality, tradition, research, and cuisine come together in an authentic way. We will definitely be back!

The attention of the chef and the staff is exceptional. The menu is received a day before. Nice idea. Local products and the ancient bolognese flour among them. Goody. Not too long neither too short selection of food on the menu, so you can choose, but not needing an hour to go through all options. Servings are well designed, but not over-designed. And what is most important, each plate with the distinct taste. Local cuisine on the highest level. wine list is reasonably long, but we followed chef’s recommendations, which was very good idea. Definitely worth taking a 40 minutes trip from Bologna.

A caress for our palate and our soul, yes, because this was our experience at this wonderful restaurant in every way... A very evocative location... The staff is nothing short of fantastic, with a kindness and cordiality that is unmatched nowadays, and the presence of the chef in the dining room who brightens the evening with his welcome presence... as well as with unique dishes expertly composed with excellent raw materials combined in a very balanced way to make the culinary experience unforgettable and rich in authentic flavors...!! What can I say? An evening to repeat as soon as possible, also to try new dishes that are offered weekly to take advantage of the seasonality of the products and guarantee their freshness. Every dish we ate was delicious. The appetizers, the pasta, the dessert. Although there wasn't a vegetarian menu, when we mentioned we were vegetarian, they adapted some of the dishes accordingly 🍀💚 Also, while it's impossible to find a pet-friendly Michelin-starred restaurant, seeing your dog treated like a true guest was invaluable 🙏🏻

10/06/2026: A traditional restaurant with excellent service. We felt at home. Incredible and refined dishes. I recommend the Bolognese/ragù. The pumpkin sorbet with balsamic vinegar was an interesting experience, but personally I loved the panna cotta.
09/06/2026: Excellent traditional Bolognese restaurant and one of my favorite meals in Bologna. The Gramignone verde al ragù di salsiccia was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, while the Scaloppina alla Petroniana was outstanding and a fantastic introduction to one of the city’s classic dishes. The wine recommendation paired beautifully with the meal, the service was attentive and professional, and the atmosphere felt authentic without being pretentious. If you are looking for traditional Bolognese cuisine, this is a place I would highly recommend.
