This osteria is simply perfect: for its location, for the warmth of its friendly, family atmosphere, for the quality of the food served, and for the owner's great passion for what I believe isn't a business venture, but rather a sharing of his passion for food and its history. Having arrived early, I had the opportunity to listen (I think unseen, I was in the corner) as he explained to his staff how and why to recommend a particular wine, meticulously describing its unique characteristics and perfect pairings. Speaking of the food, I'd say it was remarkable to taste their freshly baked bread, or their fried gnocchi (here they call them crescentine), and everything else. In short, I have just one word: THANK YOU.

We sampled the cheese platter with jams, fried cappelletti, grilled meat, lasagna with venison sausage, and zuppa inglese cooked with cocoa spheres. Everything was delicious (the dessert and grill were top-notch). The gentleman in charge was alone and attentively attended to all the customers. Beautiful view from the veranda.

Today, after having seen the legendary Gigione's restaurant several times in four restaurants, we had the pleasure of being his guests at Osteria Rocca di Badolo. I consider this restaurant the moral winner of this episode, for its location, menu, and the owner's friendliness. I recommend it to anyone looking for spontaneity and excellent cuisine in an absolutely tranquil setting.

Absolutely one of my favorite places. If I could, I'd go every weekend!
The quality of the dishes is top-notch, and you can clearly taste the attention to the ingredients and the traditional cuisine.
The beef tartare is a delight, the first courses are truly amazing (you can taste all the care in the homemade pasta), the tagliata (beef slices) are always excellent, and the desserts... all irresistible.
All accompanied by excellent wine, including the house wine.
An authentic, well-kept, and never boring place where you eat truly well. Highly recommended!
