07/10/2025: Very nice place, with an extensive menu offering a variety of choices. Doughs range from thinly rolled Neapolitan dough to more sophisticated doughs like triticum with wheat germ or protein. Friendly and helpful service, and the owners are charming. Fresh homemade desserts and generous portions. Service is fast, although on busier evenings, a slightly longer wait is normal. Ample parking is available at the back of the restaurant; it's not guarded, but still spacious.

18/10/2025: I spent three days in Porretta, a place recommended by a friend... I came all three nights! Excellent cuts of meat, excellent butter, and the "big Rufus" with 300g of meat is world-class! Informal place, friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended. I forgot: very fair prices considering the quality of the ingredients used, all local.

29/09/2025: I've been a regular customer for over a year, and everything is excellent. What stands out most is the quality of the products—the fries are among the best I've ever eaten, as is the quality of the meat and the unique and never boring sandwich menu. Another important aspect is the service, especially Rossella, the owner. She's truly a hard worker and always attentive to customer needs, kind and ready to listen to everyone's needs. The atmosphere is informal and makes you feel at ease. Excellent value for money. Kudos to all the staff.

19/10/2025: Recommended by locals, we dined at this restaurant. The variety of dishes is remarkable. We ordered tortelli, pumpkin, and salami with onion, and passatelli in broth. For our main course, we had an excellent pork fillet with nocino liqueur, sublimely prepared, and polenta with pancetta and Zola cheese. Excellent service, and the restaurant is a beautifully kept, old-fashioned affair.

08/10/2025: Honest review: I booked a table for 17 people. We were kindly welcomed to the restaurant on a large table upstairs for 16 people, as one of us had to depart else where. Prior to arrangement, we were given a set menu and the restaurant managed to accomodate our allergies and dietary wishes, no problem. The food was traditional from the region and seasoned well. As wel paid the bill, we were surprised that we had to pay for 17 people instead of the 16 that received the food. The waiter did not mention this to us and we should have double checked this in the restaurant. I contacted the restaurant about this and I received an email back stating they do not refund the person who was not present. The reason being that they were not able to seat another 2 people. On the other hand, the restaurant could have taken the table as it was unoccupied and empty but they did not care to ask. If you ever visit this restaurant, be very cautious as the owner does not refund your reservations. Talk about Bolognese hospitality, not.

12/10/2025: We had a charcuterie board, a cheese board, and a buffalo mozzarella salad. A bottle of Emilia Romagna red wine, recommended by the restaurant. Fantastic. Phenomenal. Everything was very good. The atmosphere was like an old tavern. Legendary. We really liked it. Approximately €23 per person, including wine and dessert. Highly recommended.

15/09/2025: I tried this place for lunch because I was really intrigued by their charcuterie boards. It was a testament to the excellent quality of the charcuterie served, and since it's a wine bar, there's no need to comment on the wines available. The guy who advised us right from the start was excellent. Highly recommended.

21/08/2025: We went as a couple. Excellent selection of drinks and spirits with fresh fruit, truly distinctive from the others. Definitely worth returning. :)

05/10/2025: Tonight I went to dinner at Fontana in this beautiful village of Calestano; my son-in-law spoke highly of it. The location was very pleasant, the service was kind, efficient, and friendly. I wanted the cappelletti in brodo (good), and I tried the pizza with provola, fiordilatte, and speck. I have to say, their pizza is good: light and well-leavened, with quality toppings. Then for dessert, I ordered the crema catalana. It's a sin of gluttony that I happily indulge in, and it's hard to find. Finally, it's the real crema catalana with cinnamon; many people pass off crème brûlée as a substitute. The prices are fair for the location and the quality of the dishes. I'll gladly return.

13/10/2025: A must-visit if you are in Bologna. The ragu bolognese is wonderful and it was made with fresh gluten-free tagliatelle - we were astounded! We also ordered two starters - gnocco fritto and friggione - both also so flavourful and with incredible, homemade gluten-free bread! The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the setting is very traditional and homey. Can't recommend enough.

13/10/2025: Homemade and best scaloppine I have had in Italy. i don't know why so many negative reviews, the young lady was kind to receive us on 13/10 at 17 in the afternoon, when nobody else would accept us. We have had antipasti, scaloppina alla bolognese and some spritz, honestly it was very good. Maybe slightly more expensive than in other towns but overall a good experience and the bread wasn't too bad. The lady serving us was very kind and gentle and honest, for me it was a top experience and there is nothing but a good moment spent there. They offer gluten free options, they also offer to make pasta for you as a side dish even if it wasn't on the menu, a great address with fresh ingredients.

14/08/2025: We came to this restaurant following a friend's recommendation. Starting with the atmosphere, the place is well-presented, with an almost rustic yet welcoming feel and a very respectable location. The food (we all had pizza) was truly delicious, with the soft and almost juicy pizza melting in the mouth, leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. The waiting time was just right, and it was an overall positive experience. The only flaws I can say I found were: the bathroom, which was small and could only fit one person, poorly maintained and lacked soap, and the price of the drinks, which I felt was slightly higher than expected. Despite this, I'd first like to compliment the excellent quality of the food, but also the restaurant in general, which I consider a must-visit if you're in the area.
