28/02/2026: For me, one of the three best restaurants in all of Irpinia. Aside from the excellent menu (the pomegranate with pork capocollo is brilliant, and the arancini are top-notch), "La Pignata" has what many restaurants in this region lack. They want to be a bit more sophisticated (I'm obviously not talking about traditional, popular osterias), but they don't know how to make a living (they don't understand the rules of restaurant culture). Here, however, it's there: kindness when making a reservation, impeccable service, with discreet courtesy and a sommelier in the dining room (many in Italy and around the world know Irpinia only for its wines, and it would be wise to ensure they find a respectable sommelier when they enter a restaurant), and the entire "liturgy" that introduces and concludes the menu, from the chef's welcome to the pre-dessert to the small pastries. Plus, it offers a quality/price ratio that's hard to find in more renowned tourist destinations. Moreover, the restaurant is right below the Norman castle and the municipal villa. Worth a trip or a detour.

And I go to many restaurants and I can say that I am extremely satisfied both with the welcome, the place and the service, and above all with the dishes. Something sublime that you cannot taste everywhere but only from certain people like them who put authenticity, love and products and I recommend it for those who decide to give a gift to the palate and pleasure.

02/03/2026: Nice bar in the center of Avellino with takeaway dishes and a good pastry shop, a nice room for a quiet meal.

16/01/2026: Excellent service and friendly staff. The products are excellent, and most importantly, everything is fresh and homemade. I've been here several times, for breakfast (Too Good to Go) and to try the panettone. I've always had a great experience. Highly recommended.

29/01/2026: One of the restaurant's signature dishes is its mixed antipasto platter, which includes numerous courses. In addition to the classic cold cuts with buffalo mozzarella and delicious ricotta, there are various additional dishes that vary seasonally: mixed fried foods, fried potatoes and peppers, friggitelli peppers, beans with pancetta, and more. Everything is delicious!

03/02/2026: We were looking for a typical local restaurant, and at a service station, the girl at the bar recommended this place to us. Without hesitation, we took the first exit off the highway and arrived at this osteria. What can I say? Authentic flavors, the quality of the ingredients pairs perfectly with the friendliness of the owner! Everything was truly excellent. It will be our regular stop when we return to this area. Congratulations!

25/01/2026: It was over an hour's drive, but it was worth it. The place is very cute and well-kept (with so many items on display, it's rare not to see a cobweb or a bit of dust). The service was friendly and helpful. But the food alone is worth the trip. We ordered a sampling of all the appetizers so we could try everything; I highly recommend it. For pasta, I ordered a single dish with two samples; for me, the ravioli were the best. The meat was spectacular. The tiramisu was also excellent, and I ordered a house amaro, which I enjoyed. I will definitely be back.
