19/08/2025: Great pub for both young people and families. During the summer, there are outdoor tables and the welcome is excellent. The food was a guarantee: phenomenal fried foods, crispy and dry, a good selection of beers, and really tasty sandwiches... the icing on the cake, they also serve excellent aperitifs at reasonable prices 👏👏

08/02/2026: The facility is very clean and, above all, very welcoming. In the evenings, there was entertainment for adults and children, and for Saturday dinner, we dined in the restaurant. Everything was very good and fresh. Congratulations, keep up the good work!

01/02/2026: A charming place in the heart of the Sila Mountains. The Lorica residence directly overlooks Lake Arvo, offering visitors a unique spectacle. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Kudos to manager Sergio, who is always ready to accommodate every need.

07/04/2026: €10 for a plate of plain pasta and €20 for a very basic plate of gnocchi alla sorrentina. The owner and staff didn't seem to listen to us when we were ordering, as there were at least five discrepancies between what we ordered and what we received. A word of advice: check your receipt carefully, because they even charged us for things we didn't order. The owner only charges his high-spending friends, so if you don't order at least a €100 dish each, he won't even look at you.

21/03/2026: Unfortunately, my experience wasn't satisfactory: the service and food quality didn't seem to match the menu. What a shame.

22/08/2025: I had a chocolate milkshake, I have to say it was quite good, but €4.00 for 300ml is a steal, I expected at least €450.

07/09/2025: Very nice place, six of us went. It was really crowded since it was the August bank holiday, but that doesn't justify the fact that they didn't bring all the dishes at once. We first ordered two peppered mussels, which arrived right after the two dishes for two of us, and the pizzas arrived quite a while later. Furthermore, my pizza was delivered to another table first, and only after I told them, "You gave my pizza to another table," did they bring mine. I should point out that the first three pizzas arrived, and mine was supposed to be given to me, but instead it was given to another table... I think the prices are exorbitant, and in any case, there's a lack of organization and a lot of confusion. I understand the crowds, but it wouldn't take much to be more organized.

18/11/2025: Gio’s Pub is one of our favourite places to go whenever we’re in Scalea. The staff are always friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the food is exactly what you want from a good pub meal. Nothing pretentious, just hearty, filling dishes that taste amazing. It’s a great spot for all ages and has a lovely, easygoing vibe. We’ve eaten both inside and outside. The outdoor area can be a little dark in the evenings with not the best lighting, but it doesn’t take anything away from the ambience or the quality of the food. If anything, it adds to the charm. This time I had the truffle burger with chips and it was absolutely divine. Packed full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Overall, Gio’s Pub is a must visit in Scalea. Friendly people, great food and a brilliant atmosphere every time. Five stars without a doubt.

06/09/2025: I stayed at this hotel for two nights and I have to say the cleanliness of the rooms is excellent. The only flaw, if any, would be that there's not even a tiny piece of soap in the room, so no shower gel or shampoo. For a 3-star hotel and the price they charge, this seems like a serious shortcoming. Furthermore, there's the significant disturbance to guests' sleep, both in the evening and early in the morning due to the closing of the metal shutters and the noise made by the staff tidying up the dining room below the bedrooms. Finally, the quality of the breakfast, which consists only of one croissant per person and a hot or cold drink, so don't expect bread, cakes, butter, jams, toast, cold cuts, or cheese...nothing at all.

24/08/2025: The wait staff was extremely professional, friendly, and prompt. The fish was fresh and very well cooked. Excellent value. Highly recommended. The location is perfect.

22/08/2025: A disappointing experience. The calamari, both grilled and fried, were barely edible. The scialiatelli with red shrimp were completely tasteless. The shrimp and calamari tasted like they were frozen. To make matters worse, the bill included two more dishes and one more bottle of water than we ordered. We won't be returning.

24/12/2025: Seven of us went for an aperitif on Christmas Eve. The bar was anything but delicious, the staff was sleepy and disorganized, not to mention the hour and a half wait to finally eat a sandwich with cold cuts and a little cheese. Terrible.

17/12/2025: The 2 guys were very kind, the food was just as kind, but the girl behind the counter, I'm sorry to say, is rude. I've been there 3 times. I asked for coffee and he brought it to me after 30 minutes. I asked for the receipt and he slammed it on the table so as not to add anything else. Have a good evening and happy holidays.

14/12/2025: Very comfortable and welcoming place, especially warm on a cold winter day—no small feat, since at other agriturismos you have to stay in your coat for half the meal. Everything was cooked to perfection, from homemade gnocchi with sausage sauce to incredibly tender grilled meat. The waiters and owners were very friendly. At the end of the meal, there was a fruit salad and a generous portion of tiramisu, which alone was satisfying. The price was fair. Very fast service, though a little too fast, to be honest, but better than waiting an hour between courses. A well-deserved 4 stars.

03/01/2026: This is my first time here because I don't know the city or the area... it was recommended to us. The menu says "pizzeria restaurant," but they have nothing restaurant-like about them except for the two or three entrees they offer because they have those ingredients. In fact, there's not even a menu for the kitchen. The pizzas were delicious, not very topped but undercooked; some were too thick inside. I wasn't satisfied with the food. I hope this can be taken as constructive criticism and improved. The situation is different when it comes to the staff. Always present, kind, smiling, and quick to serve customers. Location: Nothing that makes the place stand out. I'd say very anonymous.

04/10/2025: I Cugini was recommended by a family member - not only were the pizzas we ordered delicious, the staff was friendly and welcoming, I highly recommend this place!

30/08/2025: We discovered this restaurant and pizzeria by chance and it was fantastic, great prices, delicious pizza, it felt like being in Naples, literally on the beach with a spectacular sea view, super friendly staff, minimal wait time for 7 pizzas (we waited about 15 minutes), impeccable cleanliness even in terms of service, needless to say we returned and will definitely return next summer because they are worth it. I recommend the "La Sila" pizza with Calabrian nduja to those who like spicy food; trust me, you will not be disappointed. For those who like delicate flavors and fish, I recommend the zucchini and shrimp one because the arugula and salmon one was too creamy but still delicious. Everything fresh. Everything excellent. These are the places worth spending money on and I hope you continue to work in this impeccable manner. Well done.
