24/09/2025: At over 1,300 meters above sea level, in a bright clearing overlooked by a family of buzzards, you'll find the magnificent Baita dei Faggi. It's located within an old production site that, since 1910, employed many workers cutting the precious beech wood needed to make railway sleepers and gunstocks. In this corner of authentic Calabria where you can reach the stars, Massimo and Silvia tenaciously host travelers with a warm welcome, demonstrating great expertise in their work and a love for the local produce (Pollino truffles, porcini mushrooms, Saracena olive oil). Thanks again, and see you in the fall!

25/09/2025: Until August 15th I used to go there often and the food was excellent. I haven't been there for over a month. I went there last night and unfortunately I have to say that everything was pitiful, from the starter to the main course, a boat of calamari soaked in oil and without salt. I was ashamed of them. Never again in my life.
03/09/2025: Attracted by the very positive reviews and the apparent value for money, I went to this restaurant with perhaps slightly too high expectations. The prices, in my opinion, were inadequate for the type of service and location. For dinner, which included an appetizer, first course, and fried food, I didn't enjoy anything except the shrimp and scampi entree, which was truly delicious. What a shame.

05/02/2026: Extraordinary dishes, textbook pizza, and illegal desserts!!! Enzo, who served us, is passionate and attentive to his work. We'll be back in the area for work, and it will remain our go-to place in the future.

13/01/2026: Ristorante Villa Rustica is one of the best and most popular restaurants in the entire region. A truly authentic and traditional Italian restaurant, it combines excellent Italian cuisine with a genuine Italian atmosphere.
The ambiance is pure Italy.
Friendly and welcoming staff are as much a part of the experience as the delicious food.
We were a large group, and everyone was thrilled with the food and the restaurant itself. A 10 out of 10! 🫶

16/03/2026: An authentic place that delights with flavor and quality. The menu is short, and that's a good thing, because there's nothing to overthink. We had the frittura di pesce, grilled swordfish, and spaghetti with pistachio pesto and shrimp—all delicious! I'm delighted, because among the multitude of touristy restaurants, this one shines with authenticity. Complimenti ragazzi!

26/12/2025: I gladly return whenever I can, although unfortunately the staff is always changing. The food is decent, with a good seafood menu, especially the stuffed pasta, but the risotto is a major disappointment. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the attention to detail is lacking, giving the impression of a certain disinterest. It's a shame.
