We went to this restaurant for lunch. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. Among the appetizers, we particularly enjoyed the cured meats, tripe, arancini with nduja, and so on. Among the first courses, the pasta with cod and the pasta with artichokes and crispy pancetta. Among the second courses, the mixed grill and the wood-fired chicken were delicious. Excellent, we'll be back.

I spent many summers in Caulonia, but during the summer it becomes difficult to truly appreciate a place. The prevailing cuisines I've savored over time, as a Lodi native imported by love, were those of my mother-in-law and aunts (woe betide anyone who misses an appointment). Marcello was therefore a surprise. The restaurant has been "clean" since its renovation, easier to get to than it was years ago. A beautiful terrace that I imagine would be pleasantly enjoyed on spring/summer evenings.
Excellent food. Typical appetizers, which are actually not at all typical because everyone prepares them differently; here at Marcello's they are very pleasant and "saucy," just right, not too heavy, with light and tasty fried foods (the zippuli on sunnu are made in a unique way!!!). Truly well-made first courses, with a courteous assize court above all others. The wine list is understated but well-chosen, and doesn't overdo it, excluding any "international" options. Overall, a very fair quality-to-price ratio. Impeccable service. A table near Alexia, but with good music. The spacious space is pleasantly accommodating even the potential for English beer-fueled noise. Worth a try, even in the summer.

We went to this restaurant for lunch on Sunday. Everything was truly delicious and cooked with skill and love. The ingredients were of the highest quality. A cured meat appetizer unlike anything you've found anywhere else. The pasta with mushrooms was plentiful, delicious, and especially "with mushrooms." The wood-fired pork shank was sublime, soft and juicy. The homemade desserts are also worth it. The staff is friendly, courteous, and professional. We'll be back!
