30/07/2024: Very kind and friendly staff; the first course based on cavatelli with seafood is excellent. The menu is full of choice. The toilets are very clean and equipped with everything you need. Fair prices.

16/07/2024: I have rarely tasted such good fried food. Friendly and professional staff. The pizza bread a real delight. Excellent value for money. At Nicola's you are sure to go for a relaxing and tasty evening. Advised.

20/07/2024: Ristorante molto scenografico in piazzetta affacciata sui sassi. Cibo molto buono e personale gentile. Ricco menu senza glutine.

12/07/2024: Poca cordialità e disponibilità del titolare nonostante la prenotazione per un tavolo con vista, a quanto è sembrato , solo riservato agli stranieri o ai propri clienti. Relegati nel tavolo più lontano e all’ ingresso della terrazza disturbati dal passaggio di tutti i clienti. Cibo accettabile i ravioli mentre le orecchiette della nonna riscaldate al microonde erano bollenti, affogate nel pomodoro tale da non sentire assolutamente il sapore del ragù.

21/08/2024: The food and the selection was amazing!!! The quality of the food and the speed of preparation was very high - Thankyou. However, The staff were very ‘cold’, unfriendly and not welcoming. This was a shame. They never smiled or made us feel welcome. Maybe it’s because you order your food via an iPad……it is very efficient, but the staff need customer service skills training/advice. Anyway - the food was excellent.

12/08/2024: Three stars are too much but the place is suggestive from the point of view of the location as it is located inside a cave in the historic center of Matera, but as regards the reference to Japanese culture absolutely nothing, in fact it seems like a simple trattoria with chairs and plastic tables... Pretty good food but not with much variety on the menu but overall not bad. The sore point, unfortunately, is the service which, despite being quick in preparation, when you reach a certain quantity of orders (we saw that they checked on the tablet)... the waiter comes and asks you if you have finished eating and takes away your dishes even though the kitchen is still open. You basically feel like they're kicking you out. For prices two all you can eat with a bottle of wine €77.70. Honestly we will never go back again.

30/07/2024: Recently we visited Matera, but chose to stay up the hill from the touristy part of the city. Nearby was the Birrosteria Cine ma and it was so wonderful we went back the next night, too. Food was excellent (including for me, who is vegan -- not as easy in Italy as one would expect), the owner delightfully personable. My friend and I have interest in Italian cinema and the posters, especially attuned to Matera, were captivating and put more on our list to watch back home.

16/06/2024: It wasn't busy and the service was fine. Sat outside with candles lit. Not a culinary masterpiece, but the price-quality ratio is also there. Everything neat and clean.

21/08/2024: Questo ristorante merita una recensione a 5 stelle per il servizio ottimo, la cortesia e disponibilità di tutto il personale e soprattutto per gli ottimi piatti , prodotti con una materia prima di qualità. Veramente tutto ineccepibile e da consigliare assolutamente

20/08/2024: Locale molto carino all’interno della zona dei Sassi in Matera! Abbiamo cenato fuori in una bellissima atmosfera! Che dire! Materie prime eccellenti e ben lavorate, tutte impiattate egregiamente! Servizio ottimo, professionale e molto disponibile! Nota dolente la carta dei vini! Poco territorio! Nel complesso lo consiglio anche per il conto finale, molto onesto!

17/07/2024: I have been visiting this bar for 20 years and it is still authentic. The owner always greets me kindly even after I had not been to Matera for 4 years. Every six months it is always a pleasure to sit on the terrace. Close your eyes and imagine the many changes of the piazza. Once the only café on this gem of a square in Matera….

23/08/2024: Despite a slight humidity, due to the conformation and characteristic of the constitution, the suite is fantastic, equipped with everything. Federico and the father were very kind, professional and courteous, also providing us with information to help us get to their facility by motorbike. Advised. In the heart of the city and a stone's throw from everything.

18/08/2024: I didn't go to the hotel but to the bar. Excellent, fair price (5 euros for IPA beer), free antipasti, olives and terraces. Top view of Matera at night. Lounge atmosphere.

07/07/2024: The drinks are balanced in favor of alcohol, so be happy when you come to Shibuya. The music is exactly what I'm looking for in a good-time pub: 90s/00s house - think Robin S, Moloko, Spiller, all the jams that have held up over time. The bartender is super friendly and grooving along to the music when you order... I only wish I had stayed into the deep evening when it turns into more of a club atmosphere, but suffice to say, one heavy pour was enough for this guy. I don't remember there being any food on the menu but maybe I missed out. For the quality of the cocktail I had though (it had the local amaro Padre Peppe in it), 4/5 is fair.

13/11/2023: The least good place we ate in Matera. Poor quality ingredients and cooked too simply. An example? Gummy bran pepper. The waitress was decidedly unwelcoming and had a brusque manner. Exaggerated prices compared to the type of cuisine and the rest of the offer of the Matesni restaurants. Background music more appropriate to a bad bar in Bogota.

22/08/2024: 2 beers of 0.2 liters. 13 Euros!!! Scandalous.

14/08/2024: Breakfast without great variety. Poor service with a surcharge due to the unjustified wait for the croissants first and then another wait for the cappuccinos. A glass of orange juice a little expensive.

25/04/2024: I'm writing the review just to let the two very kind guys who served us know that there's little point in giggling if four of us order 3 bitters and then ask "do you happen to have hot tea?". I specifically asked if you do it because I understand that it's not usual in a pub.. Turning around casually and noticing that the two bankers are giggling, taking us for idiots because we asked if they make tea, I found it tasteless. Learn education

03/03/2024: Terrible place with uneducated employees who don't even respond to a good evening, and make you wait without even giving you a glance. I won't go there again, for sure
