23/08/2025: You make us ashamed of being from Matera, first of all, because it's true that Matera has become untouchable, and often unjustifiably so. Then it also makes us angry if we're the ones being ripped off. For two, we consume a small plate of carpaccio for €5, a microscopic platter of cured meats and cheeses for €10. So far, almost normal... But consuming a medium-sized rib-eye steak, because I didn't have the pleasure of seeing it being cut, of barely aged heifer, completely devoid of marbling, dry, €47... FORTY-SEVEN euros. Mineral water. Total €70. The next day I ate fish at a seaside restaurant in Puglia, a full meal for two for €75. Shame!!

01/08/2025: On July 26th we stopped for an aperitif at the Carlone bar in Nova Siri. Mrs. Giovanna was very kind. The aperitif was delicious, the house aperitif was a must-try for anyone going to Nova Siri Marina. We'll definitely return to Basilicata.

27/07/2025: A decidedly negative experience. The owner was rude and disrespectful, bordering on unacceptable for someone who runs a business open to the public. There was a complete lack of friendliness and professionalism, essential elements for providing good service. I'm sorry to say this, but such behavior ruined the entire stay. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it.

27/07/2025: I'm sorry to have to write this review, but the experience was truly unpleasant. I went to the lido with the intention of having breakfast and enjoying the day, but I was rudely kicked out simply because I accidentally forgot to get a receipt before booking breakfast. I understand the rules, but a minimum of understanding and good manners should come first, especially in a place that welcomes customers and tourists. Instead of resolving the situation with kindness, I was treated condescendingly and sent away as if I had done something serious. A disappointing experience. I certainly won't return or recommend it.

01/08/2025: On July 26th we had lunch at Rodolfo with a tourist menu, we were very satisfied, Feliciana served us very well, the owner Mrs Giulia was very kind and good at serving us. For those passing through Nova Siri Marina, it is worth trying.

26/07/2025: We were passing through and stopped. The welcome was excellent and the food was excellent, the fish was caught that day. Everything was delicious, highly recommended!

30/06/2025: Pizza ordinata telefonicamente alle 19 per le 21 da asporto, alle 21 arrivo pago locale vuoto e aspetta aspetta, più di un ora d'attesa, senza avvertire il cliente per il ritardo, senza scusarsi. Spiacente,ma non si lavora così non ci torno e di sicuro non lo consiglio.

14/07/2025: We had lunch at Chimera today. We tried all the appetizers and I have to say we were completely satisfied! The first courses were top-notch.... And the mixed fried fish was nothing short of exceptional. Thank you for delighting us with all of this!

09/07/2025: Rustic location, efficient waiter, good food, but a few things need work. We ordered the €8 portion of anchovies served on a small plastic cake plate with nine anchovies inside (the portion was much smaller than the one shown in the photos) and a grilled dish. For two, we ate for one (an appetizer, if we want to call it that, and a main course) for €40. At the cash register, the owner neither thanked us nor said goodbye, and she gave us the €50 change condescendingly while she was on the phone. Where's the hospitality towards tourists? We're still looking for it.

20/08/2025: The appetizer and pizza are forgettable. Decent service. Try it when it's not crowded.

15/08/2025: I can finally return to this 24-hour bar! Thanks to Maurizio, who takes care of security, we can return without having our peace of mind interrupted by the bizarre characters who frequent it.

05/05/2025: A few days ago we had lunch at Break Paradise as a family of four... The pasta was raw, the sauce watery!! Things are frozen and dry. I don't recommend...

19/05/2025: Sunday lunch. Booked in advance. The place was packed beyond capacity, even blocking the wheelchair ramp. The food didn't arrive. After the appetizer, which wasn't enough for the number of people we were, we decided to leave. It was impossible to continue in that chaos and we had been at the table for almost two hours. The owner treated us terribly, very arrogant. We paid too much for the misery they brought us.

12/05/2025: It was an experience to forget. Since the restaurant was full, the staff immediately seemed very annoyed at having to be there, but apart from that, there is no menu so you eat what is told to you verbally without a price or an indication of allergens or whether it is frozen or not. After ordering, we first received the pasta with tomato sauce for the children (cold), then the appetizers in measly portions because, we discovered later, they had mixed up the table orders and so we ate (and paid) for a table of 8, but with portions for a table of 4. The worst is yet to come, in fact the second courses arrived before the first courses and despite this the meat was cold and we had to send it back because it tasted rancid, as if it had been cooked and left there. Disgusted, but still respectful and polite, we wanted to address the problem to the cashier, but avoiding unnecessary confrontations; except that the lady at the checkout started shouting, pointing at us and saying "they're waiting because they want to argue". Well dear lady, if we had wanted to argue we would have had every reason, because you don't give spoiled food to people, especially at a table with two two year old children. We (over)paid and left certain that you will never see us again because that's not how you work in a serious way, I'm sorry for other unfortunate people who, like us, will stumble upon your ineptitude.

22/07/2025: Abbiamo trascorso una serata durante la settimana con amici, siamo rimasti molto delusi dalla lunga (40 minuti circa)attesa delle pizze visto che la pizzeria era quasi vuota e dal prezzo finale. La location è tipica dei sassi e la pizza è 4 su 5 come voto. Abbiamo pagato 13€ cadauna per una birra artigianale e 30€ per 10 sporca musso. Diciamo che abbiamo considerato il prezzo finale alto. Inoltre nell'attesa delle pizze abbiamo notato che il proprietario tra una comanda e l'altra stava mangiando accanto a noi, scena poco cortese per un cliente. Sicuramente la prossima volta eviteremo questo locale.

20/06/2025: Service pitoyable commande prise 1 h après notre arrivée, amabilité zéro , le premier mange et le dernier mange 45 mn plus tard ...nul .

23/05/2025: Primer plato escaso y quemado (legumbres) Segundo plato también escaso. Cuando sirvieron la escasa ensalada, hacía tiempo que habíamos terminado el segundo El postre no llegaron a servirlo después de una larga espera. Falta de limpieza. Pésima atención por falta de personal.

23/08/2025: A restaurant that's neither praiseworthy nor infamous. We ate inside, which was uninviting. The waiters were very welcoming, but that's not enough, as the bathrooms were dirty and there were no paper towels to dry your hands. The meatballs didn't live up to expectations; they were rubbery, and for the price, they weren't worth it. The selection of cured meats was very good.

12/08/2025: The octopus, the pasta carbonara, the pasta with bean cream. Everything was delicious! The two servers were adorable (thank you Nicola) DOLCE FARNIENTE ☺️
