27/12/2024: Posto accogliente con pizze cotte al forno a legna superlative, cocktail fantastici e musica di intrattenimento difficile da ascoltare in zona. In particolare il 26 dicembre per Santo Stefano il proprietario ha avuto la fantastica idea di invitare dei musicisti (sax e due dj) per regalare ai convenuti una notte da paura all'insegna della musica e del divertimento! Bravi continuate così e il vostro locale sarà sempre al top!

01/05/2025: Dopo vari giri a vuoto nei locali di "ultima generazione" di Matera , ci siamo per caso e per fortuna imbattuti in questo ristorante "non improvvisato"....il titolare Mario ci ha accolto da vero padrone di casa, con gentilezza cordialità e simpatia....consigliandoci benissimo secondo le nostre esigenze....Abbiamo mangiato un super antipasto con prodotti tipici lucani di ottima qualità, tra cui un meravigliiso piatto di cruschi... Orecchiette alle cime di rapa altrettanto eccezionali...fino ad un ottimo dolce .vaniglia pan di Spagna e cioccolato fondente..Tutto davvero buonissimo... I camerieri attenti e gentili, locale accogliente e delizioso. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole mangiare bene nel segno della vera tradizione e a prezzi più che onesti. Grazie di tutto signor Mario, a presto. Da Catania con vera stima e simpatia .Piero e Lucia.

03/09/2024: Rustic kiosk where you can eat an excellent roast lamb or kid and offal rolls, gnummarid, fantastic, right first courses and starters without defects but also without merits, fantastic place, but I'm biased because it's linked to ancient memories, but if elsewhere you're dying of heat you'll be fine there.
27/08/2024: Sono stata in questo fantastico posto quasi per caso, avendo dormito al glamping di accettura che dista pochi minuti. Che dire? Tutto fantastico, location semplice e genuina così come le ottime proposte culinarie. La carne arrostita è strepitosa, morbida e cotta al punto giusto, la simpatia del titolare e delle ragazze che servono ai tavoli è la ciliegina sulla torta di una bellissima cena! Super consigliato!

25/03/2025: We stayed in this "neighborhood" property in Sasso Cavoso. The cave rooms are carefully renovated and very comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast, with also typical products. The owners are really kind and helpful. Beautiful stay.
17/02/2025: I share my experience at the Dodici Lune residence. I stayed here for just one night and arrived in the morning; at the reception they allowed me to leave my luggage and visit the city while waiting for the room to be ready. The entire complex of rooms is located in some excavations made in the stone that make them characteristic and very suggestive. The rooms are furnished with excellent taste and are consistent with the entire design, however, we encountered some functional problems. The room we stayed in due to its shape has no windows, therefore, an air vent was installed in the bathroom which, in addition to being very noisy (especially if the door is closed, a very annoying echo can be heard), helps to cool the room. The shower had a damaged shower head and a glass that did not close optimally. The real problem emerged during the night when shortly before leaving we asked for help for a fault in the heating system. We were notified via WhatsApp shortly after the fault and that a heater was left in the room, however, this cannot cover the entire size of the room and only heats locally so it was not useful to us at all and the night was particularly cold. The thing that left me most annoyed was the lack of apologies or attention towards us the following morning when it was clear that being left without heating at this time of year is quite unpleasant.

19/05/2025: Sunday lunch. Booked in advance. The place was packed beyond capacity, even blocking the wheelchair ramp. The food didn't arrive. After the appetizer, which wasn't enough for the number of people we were, we decided to leave. It was impossible to continue in that chaos and we had been at the table for almost two hours. The owner treated us terribly, very arrogant. We paid too much for the misery they brought us.
12/05/2025: It was an experience to forget. Since the restaurant was full, the staff immediately seemed very annoyed at having to be there, but apart from that, there is no menu so you eat what is told to you verbally without a price or an indication of allergens or whether it is frozen or not. After ordering, we first received the pasta with tomato sauce for the children (cold), then the appetizers in measly portions because, we discovered later, they had mixed up the table orders and so we ate (and paid) for a table of 8, but with portions for a table of 4. The worst is yet to come, in fact the second courses arrived before the first courses and despite this the meat was cold and we had to send it back because it tasted rancid, as if it had been cooked and left there. Disgusted, but still respectful and polite, we wanted to address the problem to the cashier, but avoiding unnecessary confrontations; except that the lady at the checkout started shouting, pointing at us and saying "they're waiting because they want to argue". Well dear lady, if we had wanted to argue we would have had every reason, because you don't give spoiled food to people, especially at a table with two two year old children. We (over)paid and left certain that you will never see us again because that's not how you work in a serious way, I'm sorry for other unfortunate people who, like us, will stumble upon your ineptitude.

11/05/2025: An undefined fixed menu! It did not indicate the foods to be served, very generic (a first course and a second course). A surprise lunch based on caught fish (zero). Appetizers based on tasters. Improvised waiters made liquids flow from the cleared plates and it was not easy to have them for some needs as they always walked with their heads turned to the floor. Finally they asked for a cover charge in addition to the fixed price menu which was not included anywhere. Highly recommended place due to the terrible experience. I would define this restaurant: "The Trap"

03/06/2025: Eco Resort dei Siriti – A promise of tranquility, broken by chaotic and inadequate management The first impression, I admit, is positive: the Eco Resort dei Siriti presents itself with a pleasant aesthetic, immersed in the greenery of Basilicata, with wooden structures that evoke a rustic and environmentally friendly welcome. A well-groomed image, almost like a cover, which however turns out to be purely a facade. Behind that apparent calm lies a reality managed in an approximate, careless and, in some cases, even disrespectful way towards the guests. The rooms, in fact, are not at all up to the expectations raised by the outside: bare, dated and poorly cared for, they denote neglected maintenance and quality standards largely insufficient for a structure that aspires to call itself a “resort”. The catering service is another critical point: the organization of the buffet, in particular, was a failure. The incorrect arrangement of the tables and the inadequate management of the flow of guests have created continuous inconveniences, with poorly distributed spaces, disorderly queues and a convivial experience transformed into collective frustration. But the most serious issue – which alone would be enough to justify a formal request for compensation – concerns the systematic disturbance of the peace, perpetrated for the entire duration of the stay (30 May – 2 June 2025). During the nights, between 00:30 and 03:30, and even in the afternoon hours (13:00 – 16:00), the structure was the scene of disturbing noises, continuous shouting and loud music, coming from groups of totally out of control kids. It only emerged later that these guests were present on the occasion of the usual youth football tournaments that the structure hosts annually. What is unacceptable is that this information was never communicated at the time of booking to the person in charge of the association to which we belonged. The omission of such a significant detail - the imminent presence of hundreds of sporty teenagers - is a serious lack of transparency, which irreversibly compromised our stay. Even more disconcerting was the attitude of the reception and management. Despite numerous reports from disturbed guests, no measures were taken to protect the right to rest. On the contrary, the management assumed an ambiguously complicit behavior, granting the annoying guests a series of exclusive benefits: lunches and dinners outdoors, free birthday cakes, preferential treatment, while the other customers - the respectful, silent, punctual ones in payments - were ignored and forced to pay high costs at the bar and for additional services, without even receiving a courtesy gesture as a sign of compensation. If the intention of the Resort is to favor football tournaments - whose impact on the quality of the stay is evidently incompatible with any idea of ​​relaxation - then it would be right to reserve the structure exclusively for such events, avoiding selling stays to those seeking rest, silence and quality. Accepting reservations from both categories of guests, without any distinction or notice, is an unfair and deceptive practice, bordering on breach of contract. Due to the disorders suffered, I reported physical symptoms related to sleep deprivation and prolonged stress (severe migraines and fatigue), which continued even in the days following departure. In conclusion, the Eco Resort dei Siriti represents the paradigm of inconsistency between what is promised and what is offered: a place with a refined aesthetic, but managed without criteria, without transparency and, above all, without respect for the customer. A disconcerting experience from every point of view. I do not recommend it. I will not return. And I hope that those who read it choose with greater awareness.
03/06/2025: On the surface, the Eco Resort dei Siriti seems like a corner of paradise: surrounded by greenery, with wooden structures with a rustic charm and an implicit promise of peace and regeneration. A refined and reassuring aesthetic, which unfortunately soon reveals itself to be an empty mask, under which lies a disorganized, superficial and, in some cases, even hostile management towards “common” guests. The rooms, to begin with, are absolutely not up to the external context: unkempt, dated and lacking the care that one would expect from a structure that boasts the title of “eco resort”. The contrast between the outside and the inside is so stark that it is almost offensive. The buffet area, instead of representing a convivial moment, is a clear example of failed planning: poorly distributed tables, unmanageable flows of people and logistics that only generate chaos. All this is to the detriment of the guest experience, forced to juggle queues and confusion during each meal. The real reason for this review, and the heart of the disservice experienced, concerns the serious and prolonged disturbance of the peace, both at night and in the afternoon, during the entire stay from May 30 to June 2, 2025. The nights were disturbed by loud noises and shouting between 00:30 and 03:30, with peaks of annoyance also in the afternoon, between 13:00 and 16:00. These episodes had direct and documentable effects on physical and psychological health, including severe headaches, sleep deprivation and prolonged stress. The most serious responsibility, however, is not so much the uncivilized behavior of some guests - consisting of children left totally at liberty and obviously rude adults - but the attitude of the reception and management. Not only was nothing done to stem the situation, but the structure even supported these individuals, guaranteeing them privileged treatment: reserved outdoor lunches and dinners, free birthday cakes and various benefits. We, on the other hand – ordinary, respectful and patient guests – were left to deal with the inconveniences alone, regularly and handsomely paying for every extra at the bar of the facility, without even receiving a gesture of apology, nor a small recognition for the damages suffered. The feeling was that of being “second-rate” guests, ignored and undervalued, while the management did its utmost to please those who generated discomfort and noise. An ethical and managerial reversal that to call unacceptable is an understatement. In conclusion, the Eco Resort dei Siriti represents an emblematic case of appearance without substance, where aesthetics only serve to cover serious structural, managerial and relational shortcomings. A profound disappointment, aggravated by the arrogance of a deaf and complicit management. An experience that I strongly advise against. And that I hope no one else is forced to endure.
