11/07/2025: Consigliato da amici andiamo alla scoperta di questo ristorante in quanto cercavamo delle pietanze tipiche locali, che riportassero ai sapori di una volta, quelli della cucina tradizionale, tramandata ma rivisitata in chiave moderna. Locale accogliente e ben curato, personale cortese e fiero di spiegare il piatto, materia prima.di ottima qualità e bontà indiscutibile. Sui dessert, "il Cestino del Barisano" vale di nuovo una visita al locale. Complimenti e buona strada.

25/06/2025: Exceptionnel ! Plats goûteux dans la pure tradition de Matera. Accueil chaleureux, service impeccable, fraîcheur de la salle intérieure troglodyte très appréciée par jour de canicule (et sinon il existe aussi une jolie terrasse ombragée). Mention spéciale pour le dessert (photo) typique de Matera : le Cestino del Barisano : une mousse de ricotta légère et pas trop sucrée, avec purée de fruits frais et amandes grillées, dans une pâte croustillante, c’est à tomber par terre …

08/03/2025: Service in this restaurant is fantastic and they really make you feel welcomed! We had the tasting menu, which starts with a chef’s selection of starters: they were wonderful although the fact that nearby tables - very close to yours - have something you’d like more than that you had, detracts a bit from the enjoyment…. First course we went for the orecchiette al ragu della domenica, we will say that you can happily skip those. Main were a tagliata and a pignatta - both a humph away from exceptional. Dessert will not be mentioned here. We really loved the restaurant but didn’t love the food if that makes sense?

03/10/2025: The best restaurant I've enjoyed in Puglia. The food is delicious and the service is excellent, the desserts are unbeatable, and the service is superb. The chef, Tania, has a fantastic touch. Absolutely recommendable and a must-visit.

03/10/2025: Very good Italian snacks, delicious coffee. We really enjoyed a great meal of delicious Italian products and drank delicious Italian coffee for a small price. :) I highly recommend it. It's in the center of Matera, where you can really find something delicious to eat and relax while sightseeing. Great service!

15/08/2025: The atmosphere and location were very nice, as were the staff and the service, which was fast and friendly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. Many dishes were sold out (the tripe and the fusilli). The appetizer of cured meats and cheeses also included other dishes (all potato-based): stewed fava beans, cruschi peppers, followed by cavatelli with cherry tomatoes and ricotta cheese, and cavatelli with breadcrumbs. The pasta was overcooked and I think precooked. It must have been a bad day. The prices are absolutely not high.

17/10/2025: We came later at night and the food was great. They let you order at the table from a tablet so you can take your time looking if you don’t speak Italian. The fried rice was so good with a good mix of veggies. The sushi was average. Overall we really enjoyed eating here!

14/10/2025: I highly recommend Sushi Stone. This is my fourth or fifth time visiting Matera and I have eaten at four or five different sushi restaurants in that time and this is by far my new favorite. They offer all you can eat for lunch and dinner as well as à la carte. I always choose à la carte. Today my server was amazing. Not speaking Italian I needed a lot of help and he was great. He probably came to my table ten times in the hour I spent there and never made me feel like a nuisance. I enjoyed a shrimp tempura roll and gyoza. I also ordered dishes to take back home and everything was delicious. All of my special requests were honored and they did not up charge me for anything. The restaurant is super convenient, right behind the Palumbaro, beautiful, and the prices are very reasonable in spite of being n the middle of tourists. This will be my go to place for sushi and Chinese in the future.

24/07/2025: Truly delicious pizza, served with attentive and friendly service! Very comfortable and spacious place, with a lovely outdoor area. Parking is quite easy.

22/08/2025: I was impressed by the quality of the dishes, both in terms of presentation and ingredients, and of course by the flavor. I was also very impressed by the professional and elegant service, and by the wine. Being a wine bar, there's a wide selection of excellent wines. And for those who like it, they can even saber! In conclusion, it's a restaurant worth trying, even if it means traveling two hours! Exceptional!

10/08/2025: Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it and I won't be returning!!! The bill was incredibly high compared to the quality and quantity of food consumed.

26/09/2025: The food was INSANELY good, the ragu and black truffle pastas were near perfection, the L’Imperatore red wine stellar and the Rum Babe desert deserves a prize. Also the staff was so lovely

I especially recommend the herb risotto with walnuts and figs prepared by chef Leo...truly amazing! We were also served by Tina, who was truly excellent and professional! Top!!
