13/04/2025: Magnificent gem in the panorama of Ortona. Very beautiful location, original and finely renovated, also a stone's throw from the Castle and near the central square. The food, the menu and the cellar are excellent, refined and offer the best of Abruzzo cuisine with greater attention to the sea. The portions are well calibrated and generally abundant as per the tradition of central Italy. The service is excellent, the small outdoor terrace is also beautiful for the mid-seasons and summer. Honest prices for what is served and the care and quality of the ingredients.

05/04/2025: Good food, but portions kept to a minimum and prices too high. Poor service, they forgot to bring us the second courses which were included in the tasting menu. It's a shame because the place is worth it, but I wouldn't go back given the extremely poor prices and portions. After a tasting menu I left hungrier than when I entered. It must be said that the owner gave us a discount after our complaints, but I still don't consider it sufficient to give a positive evaluation.

02/03/2025: We have lunch in this really nice farmhouse, with the possibility of seeing some animals outside including white peacocks... wonderful! The restaurant is a typical rustic environment, clean with friendly staff attentive to every need, the service managed with the right timing. We ate cold and hot appetizers, two tastings of first courses and second courses with side dishes. To finish, coffee and tiramisu (revisited with pandoro)... overall a good lunch with fresh quality products.

08/09/2024: Terrible management! They denied us access to the entrance (family of 4) because we were carrying a cooler saying it was a private area. Absurd! . I looked around and saw several coolers and pots brought from home......I asked for explanations....Are they recommended friends? Answer: now let's check. Our intent was to buy the kebabs and other things and cook them. We had only brought a few drinks. In the end after discussing we settled, the four of us spent over €80. Dear manager, the mountain belongs to everyone, you cannot deny access, you advertise yourselves as a butcher's shop and not as a restaurant. Too much is too much.

04/04/2025: Had a few drinks with a lovely Aperitif. Friendly staff. Great clean toilets. Lovely big sitting area outside, nice decor inside.

10/03/2025: I attended a birthday party in the great room below. The evening was pleasant, with quality food, top-notch service, in an environment more than suitable for hosting a hundred people without any difficulty, with plenty of space between the tables. The evening was accompanied by music and dancing appropriate for a thirty-year-old. The salon that I didn't know was a pleasant surprise.

26/09/2024: Per me è super approvato. Si mangia davvero bene, buoni piatti di pesce non banali, cucinati bene e presentati altrettanto bene. Prezzi medio/alti ma corretti per la cucina offerta.

24/10/2024: Convenient to reach, on the Marrucina provincial road, on the right coming from Ortona and immediately before the old Sangritana station in Caldari, the restaurant has a modern layout with well-distributed tables equipped with excellent linen. On the right as you enter there is the local bar while on the left is the dining room with large tables to serve yourself at a buffet with all sorts of goodies where there is no shortage of fish or meat based dishes. The first courses are also good but, given the abundance of options, I suggest avoiding them. The owner, an open-minded person, goes out of his way to make customers feel at ease. In my case, it saved me from making a bad impression on my guests because I had left my wallet containing money, cards and documents at home. The owner, understanding my embarrassment, waited for me, giving me the opportunity to return home and return to pay the bill just before closing for lunch, thanks also to one of my guests who drove my car as I was unable to due to lack of a driving licence. If you want to be on the safe side, have lunch in the CANADIAN RESTAURANT, you won't be disappointed.

05/09/2024: Di rientro dalle ferie ci siamo fermati due giorni a San Vito Chietino e la sera ci siamo recati a Ortona per un boccone, fermati quasi per caso presso questo ristorante, ci ha colpito la struttura, una villa antica in pietra con due grandi giardini, una bella sorpresa, pizza buonissima e frittura di pesce abbondante e di qualità. Titolare gentilissimo come tutto il resto del personale, ma la cosa più bella e' la location un vero gioiello davanti all'imponente castello di Ortona. Prezzi ottimi in rapporto alla qualita del cibo, professionalita' e livello del locale. Consigliatissimo!
