24/02/2026: What can I say? I've been going there since it opened 🤗, that is, 20 years. I go there almost every weekend with my family. A high-quality Italian-Chinese restaurant that I recommend to anyone who reads this 😌. The atmosphere is quiet, run by brothers Marco and Kelly, two people I've known for over 20 years and are truly wonderful people whom I personally adore. On weekends, it's frequented by families and retirees, making it a quiet and welcoming place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

10/01/2026: I went to dinner there with my girlfriend. Unfortunately, my expectations were very high, and they were definitely not met. The worst thing about the service was the wait, especially the wait time: after the first course arrived fairly quickly (a tartare and two raw fish rolls), we waited an hour for the second course. It consisted of four nigiri and two gunkan. The waiter's excuse was that they had staff at home sick, which was causing problems in the kitchen. Despite this, dishes were delivered to other tables, even to people who arrived much later than us. Another note about the service: we asked for two glasses of Franciacorta. The waitress poured the first glass for my girlfriend, then moved on to mine, and since the bottle was empty, I ended up with half of what was poured for her. Obviously, it was never refilled with a new bottle (but I was charged in full). As for the food, there's not much to say... I expected something better, given the high prices. I found the quality to be similar to a regular all-you-can-eat, to be honest. The lobster roll was completely covered in sauce that masked all the flavors (the lobster was as if it weren't there), and the belly rolls stuffed with shrimp and sea bass tasted only of jalapeño (and two pieces smaller than a €28 nighiri... crazy, in my opinion). Total bill was €180 for two for four nighiri, two rolls, a tartare, two gunkan, two glasses, two rolls, and two bottles of water. We would have gladly ordered more, since we were still hungry. However, we didn't want to wait another hour to finish our dinner. The €20 discount as an apology for the wait was appreciated. I have no problem spending money on food, but I don't like spending that much when the overall experience isn't worth it, as in this case. Too bad, we won't be back.

29/12/2025: Very nice place, but small. I recommend making a reservation! The food is incredible. The ramen is spectacular; you can choose salmon, shrimp, chicken, or beef. You can choose from noodles: udon, rice, soy, or buckwheat soba. The sushi is wonderful, with incredible flavor! Definitely worth it!

07/11/2025: I've been frequenting this lovely little place both in person and online since it was renovated after closing. The food is excellent and the staff is professional. I ordered delivery from home once again, courtesy of the excellent Riccardo, who presented me with a final price I wasn't expecting. It was a few euros more, but I had the exact amount with me. He immediately agreed to contact the restaurant for clarification. One of the managers explained to me that the online offer of €29.90 included five courses, and since I ordered four, I was charged the full price for the four courses. It's true that when I placed my order over the phone, I remembered on the spot that the €29.90 offer was for four courses instead of five, but it's also true that I've always ordered according to the offer. It's true that it's not possible to remember all the regulars, but a GENERAL focus on customer service would have prompted the manager to point out that by ordering five dishes (I had selected four), you can enjoy a better price, even if it's only a few euros more than the extra course. Since I'm here, I'll make a suggestion. Even if the restaurant is nearing closing time, where I've personally brought friends, a partner, and relatives, or when I've visited in blissful solitude, rather than turning off the air conditioning in the summer or opening the large doors in the winter while there are still customers finishing their dinner, perhaps it's better to wait to avoid congestion or excessive temperature changes in the post-lunch phase. 19/08/2025: Second time at Ichikawa for the master's omakase, and once again it did not disappoint. A complete, refined, and relaxed experience: more than just a dinner, it was a true experience. Memorable dishes like the wagyu shabu-shabu, the belly sashimi, and the various pieces of sushi served directly by the master's hands. The service was perfectly timed, and the owner was able to guide you throughout the dinner with warmth and great expertise. The price was in line with excellent standards. Try it, you won't regret it.

09/08/2025: I took my wife for our wedding anniversary. I had a tasting at the bar and a unique sake. Everything was perfect, delicious, and plentiful. You pay, but for once, you leave having had a real experience. Plus, the chef and the partner made us feel special. We toasted together, and they prepared a birthday platter for us.

01/10/2025: This is my second time back at Niwa and I'm quite satisfied. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes with quality ingredients. Prices are moderately high, but perfectly in line with the quality of the food served. The wine list is also good. I wasn't particularly impressed with the desserts compared to the rest. The setting is very beautiful, but a bit chilly for my taste (I'm talking about the temperature). Regardless, I recommend it! Definitely book in advance.

07/02/2026: New fusion restaurants are popping up, spectacularly decorated and constantly offering new twists on traditional dishes. But they cost as much as a Michelin-starred restaurant and impose more or less subtle restrictions without significantly impacting your wallet. Ginza guarantees quality food, a friendly welcome, and fair prices without any rip-offs. We're always happy to return. We've been coming here regularly for years.

16/01/2026: Gentlemen, let's face it, without taking the mickey out of ourselves: the best all-you-can-eat sushi in Modena and its province. Special mention for the infamous "Ginza sauce," a top-secret recipe and a constant worry that keeps the owners of other Japanese restaurants in the area and beyond awake at night!

30/12/2025: I've been going to this sushi place for a while now, and it's always been great! Tonight I'm bringing my girlfriend for the first time, and everything was great, the food was good, and the service was impeccable. We ordered a 13 euro bottle of wine, but they brought us a 24 euro bottle, but we didn't know that. When it came to the bill, the guy at the cashier insisted we pay for the 24 euro bottle! They admitted they themselves had made a mistake... why should I pay 11 euros more? If that wasn't enough, he wrote a post-it for me in pen saying "free glass" for next time (obviously I tore it up) so I can't be fooled! For 80 euros, you lost a customer, you miserable guy!

22/02/2026: We were truly satisfied with our experience. The ambiance is meticulously designed and exudes an authentic Japanese atmosphere: tatami mats, simple furnishings, and waiters in traditional dress make everything very evocative and coherent. As for the food, we found everything to be excellent: fresh and well-prepared sushi, light and crispy tempura, well-executed. You can sense the attention to quality and presentation. The only small complaint about the desserts: the mochi seemed a bit dry, less convincing than the rest of the menu. Overall, however, a very pleasant experience that we recommend, especially to those looking not only for good food but also for an atmosphere that truly takes you on a journey.
