27/11/2025: After reading the reviews, I wanted to try this place, but unfortunately, my experience at The Bridge in Trieste was truly disappointing. The welcome already gave away the evening's mood. We're Italian, and we found ourselves handed menus in English. A cosmopolitan choice or just a distraction? It's hard to say, but the feeling of lack of customer service was immediately apparent. The service seemed improvised from the start. Jackets? In our arms, of course. The highlight came when I was ordering a coffee while the person with me asked for another glass of wine. I changed my mind and ordered a wine, too, so we could drink together. What's going on? I get a coffee anyway, along with the wine, and the waiter runs off. I saved part of the coffee for after the wine because I had to drive later, and it was no longer the time to ask questions. I had asked for prosciutto canapés without stracciatella. I was charged as if they were the full menu, and I can even overlook that, since it was an off-menu request (or at least a prosciutto and stracciatella tartine, but without stracciatella). What I can't ignore is the embarrassment I made with a guest from out of the region. The prosciutto was so tough and poorly presented that it looked like roughly chopped cooked ham. Is it possible that in Trieste it's so difficult to handle cured meat? In the end, I'll have to go to San Daniele to remember what a worthy prosciutto is, cut properly with aromas and flavors. Luckily, the person I was with was from Puglia, and I skipped the stracciatella; I probably would have risked a second consecutive embarrassment. The chicken salad was unremarkable, one of those things you could find anywhere, but here it costs fourteen euros. The stew with polenta, ordered specifically to sample the polenta, resulted in the polenta being left on the plate. A €5 cover charge for eating on stools without hangers, with disposable placemats and cafeteria tables transformed into restaurant-style tableware, was the perfect conclusion to an experience that was eager to disappoint. Two glasses each, two canapés, two plates, and a coffee for a total of €64. I won't be returning, and all that remains is a thank you for the impression I would have preferred not to make. The only positive notes: the bread for the canapé was good, and the Venica wine.

24/11/2025: We wanted a place where we could sit down, have a drink with starters and enjoy the nice view of the canal. THIS was an excellent choice as they had a huge menu of what I call “Trieste tapas”, the one with truffle is a MUST! This is a very good option if you want to eat something nice, quick and good chat with low music. The menu is extensive! So there are plenty options of wine and food to stay for a long time.

28/05/2025: Das nette Lokal ist hier unterbewertet! Friulanische Küche auf sehr gutem Niveau. Einfach und ehrlich. Deshalb ist es auch mal schwer, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die Preise sind sind fair und das Ambiente originell. Sehr viele Einheimische als Gäste. Wir können das Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen

23/10/2025: We had pizza, two of us, and it was really good. Since they changed the pizza chef, the pizza has been truly extraordinary. I highly recommend it. The place isn't well signposted, but you can get there easily with a GPS. There's ample parking.

13/12/2025: On Sunday, December 7th, at 7:10 PM, we entered this lovely, recently renovated establishment to order a macchiato, an Americano, and two pastries. The coffee machine had already been cleaned, and they couldn't accommodate us.

05/11/2025: Visited several times, all the staff were kind, including the owners, clean and quality of the products, 5 stars because it can't be better.

22/10/2025: I chose to go to this highly regarded establishment based on the reviews; I expected much more. The only positive aspect of the evening was the selection of six draft beers, but the selection of any canned beers was ridiculously expensive. The hotdog was disappointing, as the untoasted bun was barely half the length of the sausage and not even warm. The condiments (mustard, horseradish) were almost nonexistent. An evening to forget.

15/08/2025: The food and wine were delicious, from cured meats to cheeses and red wine. The owners were also exceptional and offered us tips for our visit to the Aurisina area. We returned several times during our stay.

26/11/2025: The most beautiful pizzeria in the world. First of all, there are these very cute animatronics that sing while you eat a tasty pizza. I also saw a yellow rabbit that was taking the children somewhere. It would be nice to see what happens at night in this place. Then I heard some children screaming with joy. The best pizzeria in the world.

27/10/2025: The owner is a bit crazy, the place is family-run. The food is good, the service a bit slow, but there was no rush. It's too cold to walk in through the sliding door, which keeps opening with a photocell. The location is good, just outside the city center, near the courthouse.
