Away from the chaotic city life, the atmosphere offers a welcome escape from the social complexities, with the pleasant sound of running water outside and the comfortable, friendly service of the staff inside. The food is carefully selected, and the menu is modest in choice but extremely high in quality. And I really appreciate that. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

19/04/2026: Terrible service, terrible pizza, and the environment is dirty compared to a few years ago. The pizza has gotten worse and not only that. Unprofessional and arrogant girls. It's a shame because I've been going there for 20 years! But in these conditions I will never go back!

19/04/2026: Nice place. I went there unannounced on a Saturday night and was served at my table within half an aperitif. The place was packed, and I waited less than 10 minutes. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.

15/04/2026: We were passing through and stopped at this bar for a coffee. Making coffee requires three Ms: grinding, a coffee machine, and, most importantly, hand. I found all three at this bar. The place is also welcoming and well-maintained, with a lovely outdoor space. The staff is very friendly. Recommended.

14/02/2026: We stopped for a cappuccino at this bar, which has a very lively atmosphere. The cappuccinos are excellent and the girls at the counter are very friendly. We paid 4 euros for one decaffeinated cappuccino and one regular one.

08/11/2025: We were seated at the "osteria," which is essentially the bar where people from outside came and went for coffee. The first course arrived after almost an hour, cold and undercooked, sparse, and served in a bowl. The foie gras was good. They tried to charge €4 for the cover charge instead of €3.50, which is still excessive for a placemat and a paper napkin and the setting in which we dined. Four pieces of turnip and a greasy, tasteless sage leaf didn't qualify for the entrée. The owner was completely indifferent to our complaints. Despite the excellent wine list (even though the one we chose wasn't chilled), I wouldn't recommend it.

08/11/2025: An hour's wait for cold, undercooked pasta, served as if it were an experimental "gourmet" dish. Perhaps they wanted us to believe it was al dente... but all that was missing was the oven timer! Finally, the icing on the cake: a €4 cover charge instead of the €3.50 listed on the menu. It's not a huge sum, sure, but if the bill is supposed to surprise, I'd prefer it to be for the quality, not the rounding. The only positive note: the truly interesting wine list. It's a shame that's the only thing worth mentioning.

01/05/2026: A nice, well-kept restaurant in the heart of Cividale. We happened to stumble upon it just as the kitchen was closing (2 PM), but they let us in anyway. The food was really good, plentiful, and made with quality ingredients. Mixed grilled fish and tagliolini paglia e fieno with San Daniele. The only downside was that one waiter made me feel embarrassed in front of some foreign guests I'd brought there to eat. As soon as he'd seated us, he came back to the counter yelling, "These guys are Spanish..." Later in the meal, after checking to see if he could start clearing the table, I sensed as he was talking about us still being there and not having finished. Finally, when it was time to order two coffees and a herbal tea, when the waitress brought the order back to the counter, the same male voice started mocking the fact that I'd asked for herbal tea and, amidst hearty laughter, greeted his colleagues by saying, "Hi, and enjoy the herbal tea!" Obviously, no offense intended, but I must say that going out to a restaurant isn't a vital need, but rather a pleasure one desires to experience, in terms of both service and food. In my case, I was showing my hometown to foreigners who speak perfect Italian. Absolutely nothing to say about the professionalism of the young waitress and the lady who I presume was the owner. I understand that working with the public isn't easy, but I don't think you should be treated like an idiot on top of paying.

27/04/2026: High prices for the quality of the food. There's no need to make spectacular dishes; I'd like to go home with the memory of good flavor. Spaghetti with clams is the ABCs of a seafood restaurant. And they don't know how to make it. Flavorless, bland.
