09/05/2026: Today I had lunch at this restaurant. It's located off the main square in Moniga and is worth a visit. I had a delicious French galette. I always love going back...fantastic food and very kind owners. Excellent place, I recommend it.

Reuniting with Silvio Nespoli—who masterfully carries on the legacy of his father, Ugo, a dear friend of mine—reaffirmed that passion is at home here. But forget the usual pizzeria: this is a contemporary project that combines the research of a bistro with the excellence of the art of baking. The restaurant is spectacular, created from the old cellars and warehouses overlooking the "fossi" (the Medici canals) of the Venezia district. The interior architecture is modern and intelligent: the floors with large glass inserts allow views of the ancient structures below, creating a visual bridge with the history of Livorno. The large, round, sound-absorbing panels hanging from the characteristic vaults are also striking: a design choice that creates a unique atmosphere and, above all, limits noise, allowing for pleasant conversation even when the restaurant is full. Pizza: the dough and the pantry I always say: the dough is everything. Without structure, aroma, and lightness, there's no pizza. Here, the base is a masterpiece of digestibility, made with meticulously selected ingredients: hand-picked tomatoes, San Daniele DOP, Branchi cooked ham (strictly cooked at the end), sausages from the Antica Norcineria Battaglia in Livorno, and prized Cantabrian anchovies, desalted and cleaned by hand. Quality here isn't just a slogan; it's a meticulous daily process. Silvio selects only the best, and it shows in every bite. The restaurant also boasts a carefully selected wine cellar, perfect for pairing both pizzas and the creative dishes at the Bistrot. Some suggestions from the menu Each dish is a medley of flavors, aromas, and textures, beautifully balanced and delightful creations. So we can discover: Parma and Positano: for those seeking the elegance of Mediterranean flavors. Escarole, Amatrice, Speciale: for those seeking a more bold and traditional character. Contadina Vegana: a demonstration of how plant-based cuisine can be gourmet. In short, whether you choose to sit outside, caressed by the breeze along the canals, or inside, enveloped by the ancient walls, amidst the reflections of glass and steel, ChezUgo remains a reliable choice. 22/03/2026: Entering this bistro is like sitting down with your family at Christmas. A refined yet simple atmosphere makes you feel almost at home. The young and dynamic staff are ready to make you feel at ease, without sacrificing their expertise in offering advice. The menu, which changes regularly, doesn't offer a vast selection of dishes (this last sentence shouldn't be taken as a negative). The dishes offered are, in my opinion, deliberately "reduced" compared to a careful selection of unique and refined dishes. Did I eat well? NO: I ate very well! Furthermore, the quality/price ratio is perfectly balanced. Without a doubt, a little gem worth visiting!

14/01/2026: A small but truly exquisitely curated place, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I visited during the Christmas season and found it even more beautiful: thoughtful decorations, soft lighting, and a truly pleasant atmosphere, the kind that makes you feel immediately at ease. The staff is friendly and helpful, which always makes a difference. I had the pinsa with mortadella and stracciatella: excellent, just the right amount of crunch, fragrant, and very tasty, with well-balanced, high-quality ingredients. One of those simple yet well-made things that makes you want to return. It's also a perfect place for an aperitivo, especially in the summer, when it's even more pleasant to linger and enjoy the atmosphere. The prices are average and absolutely in line with what's on offer. I would go back in a heartbeat; highly recommended!

01/03/2026: We've known and frequented Strepeis's creperie for over 20 years, and I can only say they're the best crepes I've ever eaten! My family and I come here for crepes as often as we can, even though we live a two-hour drive away! Wide selection of savory and sweet crepes... everything was perfect for us...even today! Keep up the good work! 🙂

27/04/2026: They make the pizza with the same dough they use for kebabs, but it was still very wet in the center because that kind of dough can't hold the basic ingredients of a pizza (the reason pizza dough is different from other doughs is because it's designed to hold those ingredients). Other than that, the kebabs are good, slightly above average. I haven't tried the rest yet.

26/04/2026: This is definitely not your average kebab shop. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the place is spotlessly clean (even with an impeccable bathroom). The kebab, delicious without being too spicy, is wrapped in exquisite pita bread. The meat is perfectly seared, and the staff is very friendly.

Burnt, I tried drinking it, but to make a long story short, I'm going to another bakery to get rid of this unpleasant aftertaste. My boyfriend had a croissant and said it was okay. Anyway, never again, since I'm not feeling great right now for this ginseng, and I need to make more time to go to another bakery and get something that will take the flavor away.
