01/02/2026: A lovely bistro in Rivisondoli, very welcoming and furnished with meticulous attention to detail. Host Giuseppe welcomes you with warmth, making you feel immediately at home. A fascinating culinary journey, made with authentic ingredients, mostly produced on the family farm and all transformed by Giuseppe's wife, who knows how to amaze the palates of even the most sophisticated gourmets. It's fascinating to hear how the products are created and the expert preparations, combining research and expertise to create sublime dishes. We loved the onion soup served in a French-style bowl, as well as the cured meats from their own El Nero Abruzzese pigs. The exceptional mortadella experiment was exquisite. The roe deer-filled crepes were also excellent, not to mention the chicken stuffed and cooked in Pinot Noir (Coq ai vin), also pasture-raised and expertly fed to bring out the best in its members at the table. In short, an experience that just thinking about it makes you want to relive it immediately. The wine list is also interesting, a testament to the careful research and dedication to consistently offering top-quality products. The desserts are a world apart, exceptional. Kudos to Giuseppe and the Bistrot Rizziero staff for their quality.

29/11/2025: The service and location were delightful. We tried the onion soup, which was very good but too cheesy. The fondue bouguignonne was delicious and of high quality. The torte tatin, unfortunately, was cold and not renverse. We'll be back! MERCI

11/01/2026: A great place next to the chairlift where you can not only buy a chairlift pass but also have breakfast or a bite for lunch. The polenta mista is highly recommended. The waitresses are incredibly kind.

05/02/2026: Passing through Udine, we stopped for a quick lunch. The location is unique, the walls reek of history, a step back in time. A kind and smiling young woman greeted us, but she was alone, doing everything she could, but she was running around like a spinning top: one more person would have been preferable, also because, in our opinion, it affects the quality of the service. We opted for the workers' menu: first courses that weren't particularly good, lukewarm, not hot. Then we had two coffees, one of which was a macchiato, and you could taste the milk being reheated several times: undrinkable. We wanted to tell everyone about it when we were about to pay, but the young woman was too busy with all the other things to do, and there were a lot of people waiting to pay: expressing our reservations didn't seem like the right thing to do. Too bad, the place has a lot of potential.

01/02/2026: Unfortunately, the worst restaurant I've been to in a very long time… over 20 euros for shrimp placed on ice, not peeled, and aioli that was aioli in name only, for over 20 euros!!! The same stuff you find at Carrefour 😰 Horrible snails… old parsley, not even chopped, salt, pepper… 🫢 what is this? I told the waitress I eat gluten-free, and she said okay… well, no, no bread, so that should have been mentioned before she let me order 28 euros worth of snails!!! Served without bread and without any side dish… my husband ordered a "soufflé" that looked more like a 3 cm thick block of dough… the ravioli with ragù were the only saving grace of this farce. You shouldn't try to call French cuisine by names when you don't know how to cook. In short, honestly, avoid this place. Besides, we live in Italy, and there are many other restaurants that are cheaper and much better quality!!!

03/12/2025: We've been frequenting Bistrot del Tempo Perduto for many years, and each time we find the same charm: a warm, refined, and attentive atmosphere where you immediately feel welcomed. The cuisine remains one of its strengths, with its traditional Mediterranean dishes, Ligurian cuisine with a delicate French influence, dishes that are always well-executed and never boring. The desserts are also noteworthy, with exceptional whipped cream reminiscent of the pastries of old. Special attention goes to the owner, Vanessa, and her staff: professional, kind, and always available, even when we arrived with our dog, who was welcomed without any problem and with great warmth. All this at an excellent quality-price ratio, which makes the experience even more pleasant and relaxing. A place where time truly seems to slow down, perfect for those seeking quality, atmosphere, and impeccable service. Highly recommended.

02/03/2026: I had lunch at this restaurant two days during my trip to Italy. As a daily menu they offer 2 first courses and 2 second courses, water and bread. Both days I ate very well, a lot of food and very good service. Thank you very much!

29/12/2025: A wonderful alternative evening on vacation in Riva Ligure. Tired of eating fish every night, we tried this charming place and had a wonderful time. We ordered a meter-long platter with every delicacy imaginable, from cold cuts to fruit, accompanied by an excellent red wine and a flambéed Camembert. Truly remarkable in a casual and friendly atmosphere. We'll be back. CIAO THIERRY!

28/02/2026: Chef Alessandro Zanotto's family history is a manifesto of Monferrato. Today, his 23-year-old grandson has already designed the winery you're visiting, and he cooks with the energy and cultural clarity of his home, having gained significant experience at the Mudec in Milan, one of Italy's international cultural centers. Lower Monferrato. Varengo, a hamlet of Gabiano. Hillside. A rare example of "family style and culture" that knows how to create refined cuisine. Perfect portions. A small wine cellar, but a place for meditation and a delight for the senses. The restaurant is by reservation only—or rather, "reservation"—and offers a highly personalized menu based on guest requests. The menu changes every three months. Refined local ingredients are used, including meat. Whipped maple butter, homemade bread, pretzels, spreadable gorgonzola, and the boiled meats with green sauce in a Chinese ravioli set us on a path to dinner. Innovative appetizers, and the first course, a beetroot and gorgonzola risotto, with rare flavor and balance. The second course's tender and flavorful diaphragm cooked on a silken potato. A genuine, artisanal, unfiltered Grignolino. A Catalan cream with a surprising flavor and color.

07/02/2026: I've dined here several times. The food is delicious, from the fondue de bourguignon with a myriad of sauces and sophisticated pairings, to the special dishes (I had an incredible mushroom and chestnut cream soup), the wine pairings, and a special mention for the desserts: the best crepes Suzette of my life. I hope to return soon.

27/10/2025: My favorite restaurant for a year now. Excellent food and incredibly kind and friendly staff. Dishes are prepared in front of the customer, like the tartare or the crêpes, which are delicious just watching them being made. It's always a pleasure to visit you. See you next time!

05/04/2026: So we were there today, but there was no ice cream. It was very disappointing that you can't get ice cream in Italy. We then had to go around the corner and buy a scoop of ice cream for 3 euros.

12/01/2026: Lovely café in the heart of Moniga del Garda. Besides the Italian dishes and coffee specialties, the delicious Breton galettes and crêpes are particularly noteworthy. We'll definitely be back.
