30/04/2026: Great experience! I returned here for the second time after a few years. I was passing through Rome and had fond memories of this French gem on the Aventine Hill, and I've seen immediate confirmation of its quality even years later! We enjoyed an excellent quiche of the day made with radicchio and roq forte, a cheese soufflé, and the inevitable beef bourguignonne, which I think they're the only ones making in Rome. We finished with a delicious tarte tatin. Excellent French wines and quick, friendly service—in short, a special evening with a French touch!

22/12/2025: So I'll start by saying I'm deeply shocked, perhaps because I had high expectations, perhaps because of the restaurant's social and architectural ambience, perhaps because I'd read the reviews. The beetroot and pumpkin appetizer was good, but man, the main course, the chicken nugget (the second most expensive, by the way), was incredibly fatty. I've truly never eaten such a fatty dish, devoid of any crunch (I was hoping for chicken skin, but instead it was terribly moist and mushy). A cream of corn, butter, and potatoes, and bitter mushrooms—all lacking in consistency, just terribly mushy. But up to that point, it was still okay. The problem was the little bones of cartilage or something, which crunched between your teeth when you bit into the chicken. Needless to say, I couldn't finish it, and I'm not going to be disgusted by chicken. The dessert was quite good. The waiters were nice, but a little too confused and out of place for where they work. But that chicken really traumatized me, never again.

02/05/2026: I won't comment on the pizzas because it depends on your taste, but let's just say they're very different from the classic pizzas most people like. These are much thinner and drier in dough, and the service definitely needs updating. It was a table for 6, and they managed to get one pizza at a time, minutes apart.

24/04/2026: Dinner with friends. It was a wonderful discovery. It's a family-run restaurant. Monica, Stefano, and their son are incredibly friendly and knowledgable about the dishes they serve. The products they use (cured meats, cheeses, etc.) are carefully selected and of the highest quality. The location is welcoming and warm, perfect for conversation. Last but not least... the quality/price ratio is TOP!!

02/11/2025: Stayed at a near by all inclusive hotel. Without getting transport to closest tourist places, Cefalu or Palmero, there is nothing outside of the hotel complex. 2 weeks ago there was a Ferrari car tribute event so had a walk out along the road to watch AND stumbled on this GREAT LITTLE CAFE. Having already eaten, Just stopped for a coffee (and beer🫣😂). Looks to be run by a family, with a great selection of authentic food and drink. Also very reasonably priced. A good break from an all inclusive hotel, experiencing more culture. Very polite and welcoming. English isn't great so like a game of sharards but that was the authenticity we liked of true Sicily 😃. Overheard others who had a meal saying how nice the food was. Even if it's only a walk out of the hotel and a drnykike us, support this great independent

01/02/2026: A lovely bistro in Rivisondoli, very welcoming and furnished with meticulous attention to detail. Host Giuseppe welcomes you with warmth, making you feel immediately at home. A fascinating culinary journey, made with authentic ingredients, mostly produced on the family farm and all transformed by Giuseppe's wife, who knows how to amaze the palates of even the most sophisticated gourmets. It's fascinating to hear how the products are created and the expert preparations, combining research and expertise to create sublime dishes. We loved the onion soup served in a French-style bowl, as well as the cured meats from their own El Nero Abruzzese pigs. The exceptional mortadella experiment was exquisite. The roe deer-filled crepes were also excellent, not to mention the chicken stuffed and cooked in Pinot Noir (Coq ai vin), also pasture-raised and expertly fed to bring out the best in its members at the table. In short, an experience that just thinking about it makes you want to relive it immediately. The wine list is also interesting, a testament to the careful research and dedication to consistently offering top-quality products. The desserts are a world apart, exceptional. Kudos to Giuseppe and the Bistrot Rizziero staff for their quality.

24/10/2025: Highly recommended! The products are always fresh; the only problem is choosing between sweet and savory! The cakes are also noteworthy; I had two customized ones made for special occasions, and they definitely exceeded my expectations! Well done!
