Service and Ambience (9/10) From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by exceptionally friendly and professional service. The attention to detail is admirable; for example, our bread plate was discreetly replaced as soon as it was even slightly soiled. These small, thoughtful gestures demonstrate a high level of service and care for the guest, instantly making the evening that much more special.
Focus on Local Produce Il Molo has a clear philosophy: working with local products and wines as much as possible. This love for the region, Umbria, is evident in every dish and every glass. The menu is a celebration of Lake Trasimeno and the surrounding farmland.
Our Culinary Journey Our evening began superbly with a Futura Prosecco from the Madrevite winery. This 100% Trebbiano was a refreshing and highly successful starter that perfectly set the tone.
As an amuse-bouche, we were treated to a creative duo: an arugula roll with mayo and a taco with carp roe and crème fraîche. Tasty and promising, though not the absolute highlight of the evening (7.3/10). The delicious lemon balls that followed more than made up for it.
The starter, lake fish (Lucco), was a sensation: a fresh yet intense flavor that was perfectly balanced (8/10). We paired it with a Trebbiano Orange Wine from Perugia. This wine was a surprise: a wonderful aroma and a complexity that paired perfectly with the fish dishes that followed.
The pasta (primi) was certainly very tasty and well-made, but didn't have the same "wow" factor as the starters (6.5/10).
Our main course (secondo) was the carp. This fish naturally has a robust, distinctive flavor, which was presented here in a simple yet perfect way, allowing its pure taste to fully shine.
A Fairytale Finish: The pre-dessert was pure magic: a sorbet with warm, popping sugar. It was a sensational combination of textures and temperatures that evoked a nostalgic, childlike feeling, yet was refined and refreshing.
With dessert, we enjoyed a local bitter, which may not be to everyone's taste, but whose quality was undeniable.
The dessert itself was sublime. The ricotta tart with crema was an absolute masterpiece (9/10). The unexpected addition of a balsamic reduction added a pleasant sweet-and-sour twist that elevated the dish to a higher level.
Conclusion: Il Molo is highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, high-quality Umbrian dining experience. The combination of excellent service, a strong focus on local produce, and cuisine that surprises and delights makes this restaurant an absolute must-visit on Lake Trasimeno. A place where you'll look back on an evening full of flavors with a satisfied feeling, a full stomach, and a smile.
22/08/2025: A huge YES from Livorno!
My husband and I went for lunch yesterday, and being vegan, we expected little from a restaurant that focuses on meat and fish: but instead, we ate like a god!
The owner made every possible change to his dishes to make them vegan, from appetizer to dessert, and you could really feel the commitment and desire to meet our needs.
And when that happens, I feel doubly grateful, because it's not at all a given.
The other girl who served us was also very good and friendly.
I hope to return!

26/08/2025: I've been going to Chez Camille for a while now. Whenever I want something healthy, light, and tasty, this place is a surefire go-to.
They specialize in galettes and make them divinely. Super digestible and light. The ingredients used to garnish them are incredibly fresh and always vary according to the season. The combinations are whimsical and always spot-on. I think I've tried almost everything.
The staff are kind and always attentive 😍

03/08/2025: The restaurant is quite okay, though the decor is very minimalist. The food is decent, but I think it could have been seasoned better – I found the flavors lacking, though that's obviously a matter of taste. The prices seem a bit high for the overall quality of the place.

14/08/2025: Ponte Cestio connects Tiber Island to the historic Rione Trastevere. Probably built around 46 BC by Lucio Cestio, left by Caesar to govern Rome during the Spanish war, it is almost contemporary with Ponte Fabricio, which links the island with the opposite bank of the Tiber and the Rione Sant'Angelo.Over the centuries, the bridge, almost certainly in stone, underwent numerous restorations and renovations due to the continuous damage caused by the river current. In 365, it was restored by the emperors Valentiniano, Valente and Graziano, in the shape of a large arch flanked by two smaller arches.The continuous structural interventions also caused changes in its name: in 370 AD, it was called "di Graziano", from the name of the homonymous emperor, as remembered by the inscription inserted in the parapet upstream; later, it also took the name of "San Bartolomeo", from the nearby church, the main one on the island. Then, it was called "ferrato", due to the numerous iron chains necessary to anchor to the bank the hanging grindstones placed above the joined barges. This technique became necessary to guarantee the supply of flour to Rome after Vitige cut the aqueducts that fed the mills on the Tiber in 537. Although the bridge underwent considerable damages during the French invasion of 1849, it kept its appearance almost unchanged. Only in 1899, for the construction of the new walls of the Tiber, it was necessary to enlarge the riverbed, with the consequent dismantlement of the structure and the covering. In 1892, as evidenced by the inscription on the marble parapets, the bridge was rebuilt with three large arches covered with the original travertine, and officially named Ponte Cestio.

All the dishes are carefully prepared, tasty, and made with excellent ingredients. The atmosphere is modern; the service is attentive and friendly; and the quality/price ratio is excellent.
