01/08/2025: We were really desperate for food during siesta and the owner welcomed us happily, at this unusual hour. They made 5 delicious pizzas for us very quickly and created a nice quiet atmosphere we could rest in with our dog. Everyone was really nice and spoke very good English. I'm really glad we found this place!

01/08/2025: The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better! I tried mediterranean pizza, and it was made with fresh tomatoes and olives. The customer service was really good, the restaurant owner and his wife were very welcoming and spoke very good English to us a little during our visit. They also made sure that we were happy with the service and that our dog was comfortable.

On Fridays, there's an aperitif with Asian specialties, highly recommended for a different kind of aperitif. Plus, it's still a tobacconist and service center. Try it and then tell me.

21/10/2025: Nice hotel. Very spacious quadruple rooms. We were assigned a room with beautiful exposed beams. The owner at the front desk is truly kind and professional. The hotel has uncovered outdoor parking. Good breakfast (could be better).

16/09/2025: We stopped in after a motorcycle ride and had a snack with a homemade dessert, delicious! The staff were welcoming and friendly.

12/09/2025: A classic spot for motorcyclists at the top of the Penice Pass between Bobbio and Varzi. The service is quick and friendly, and the food is excellent. I've been there several times, and the piadina with Varzi salami and cheese is excellent. I also recommend the polenta with wild boar. Generous portions. The only downside is the bathroom, which needs updating.

11/10/2025: I'm giving one star because it couldn't have been any lower! Terrible service and rude staff. We arrived first and were served last. The food was subpar, with inedible pumpkin tortelli. We asked for side dishes several times, but they arrived at the end of the meal! Cover charge, but bread never arrived. And when the bill arrives, be careful about the prices of the entrees, because the menu shows a price, but at the cashier, you enter one that's more than €2!

28/09/2025: This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the Mancassola farmhouse, Mr. Emilio, as it's just a 5-minute walk away. I couldn't have given a better recommendation. The restaurant is spacious and clean. The table service is quick and accurate, but above all, my wife and I had a truly wonderful dinner with classic local dishes (pisarei, tortelli, gnocco fritto, and others), all of which were excellent. We didn't eat them, but I saw the pizzas being brought in, and I'd say they were also very well presented. The owners and waitress were friendly and helpful. Although they don't need my positive review, as the restaurant was always busy the two nights we went, I can wholeheartedly recommend it! The prices are very fair for the quality of service.

16/11/2025: I can confirm, after not being there for a while, the quality of the ingredients served and the service; it's been a while since I've had such delicious fried mushrooms and bruschetta with diced tomatoes that would blow away, on top of everything else. The bathrooms are spotless and well-stocked.

15/11/2025: I went last night with a group of friends, and I had a great time. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful (I asked for a pizza that wasn't on the menu), smiling, and friendly. A big compliment to the staff; I'll definitely be back. The pizza was good and light.

05/11/2025: Excellent food with some traditional twists. I recommend the fantastic appetizer. Friendly staff. I don't know about five stars because the atmosphere is informal (which I think is a plus, but I know some guests don't like). In the winter, there's a fireplace waiting for you.

18/10/2025: Osteria restaurant in the small town of Travo, popular with Italians and English tourists; excellent traditional Piacenza dishes served in an internal terrace that is perhaps a little artificial but quite cool; good service considering the number of customers, even on weekdays, and the number of waiters (2). The Gutturnio Barattieri is excellent.
