20/06/2025: Huge tourist trap! We were extremely rushed. While we were still eating the first empty plates were immediately taken away from us. Our bill was put on our table without us asking for it with a gesture that signalled us that we have to leave now

11/05/2025: Vinimos aquí para nuestra primera cena en Venecia y no decepcionó! En primer lugar, el personal era muy servicial cuando me presenté un día demasiado temprano para mi reserva y nos sentó sin ningún problema. Las pizzas estaban deliciosas. El restaurante es pequeño y ocupado por lo que recomendaría reservar con antelación.

06/05/2025: Pasó a estar caminando por este lugar a la hora del almuerzo y notó algunos gondoleros adentro comiendo el almuerzo - siempre una señal de un buen restaurante! Logré conseguir reservas la noche siguiente para la cena. Este es un pequeño restaurante acogedor, así que tuvimos la suerte de poder reservar una mesa! Teníamos el aperitivo bruschetta que era fresco y delicioso. Nuestro plato fuerte fue la pizza y calzone. La pizza era de corteza fina y tan sabrosa! ¡La calzone era enorme! Más de la mitad del tamaño del plato y absolutamente delicioso. Gran ambiente y buena comida - un lugar fantástico para disfrutar de nuestra última cena en Venecia!

17/06/2025: Super nice in a magical corner. Not always easy to find at the end of a small corridor, but the place is very beautiful. The food is very good, even if the prices are not cheap.

14/06/2025: I had high expectations for this restaurant, especially for the very beautiful and well-kept environment and the rather high prices. I thought I would find original and refined dishes, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The dishes are beautiful to look at, but the taste is not convincing: it lacks taste and personality. The service was very good: kind, helpful and prepared waiters. Overall, however, there are many other places in the city where you eat better, spend less and leave more satisfied.

11/06/2025: Service was OK, we had to ask for our check several times though. Food was mediocre, the only good item was the pizza diavolo. The carbonara was all black pepper, all the pasta was bland and the gnocchi was pasty. The restaurant looked really nice though but no music or anything.

31/05/2025: Pour être honnête : Qualité des plats : 7/10 Qualité du cadre : 8/10 Qualité du service : zéro pointé. Je dédommage de donc ce restaurant qui vous gâche la soirée par discrimination. A cause d’être Français ? A cause d’une réservation avec la Fourchette ? Quelle déception de se vouloir être un restaurant gastronomique plutôt de luxe et de se comporter comme une vulgaire attrape touriste. Nous voulions passer une bonne soirée dans un lieu d’exception et avons fini par amèrement regretter notre choix. Les notes de la Fourchette n’illustrent pas notre déception. Nous avons plutôt bien dîner mais ne remettrons jamais les pieds dans cet établissement. Pourquoi ? Toutes les tables se sont vues offrir un digestif sauf la notre. En quittant le restaurant, j’ai juste demandé pourquoi ? Le serveur m’a simplement répondu que c’était à la discrétion du restaurant. Visiblement malgré une addition à plus de 300 euros en couple, ce n’était pas suffisant pour mériter cette distinction. Donc nous non plus n’aurons pas de considération pour la Caravella. A éviter pour tous les épicuriens surtout si vous réserver avec la Fourchette. Persona non grata.

22/05/2025: The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Additionally, they have drinks that are favorites among most people.

02/05/2025: Grande esperienza. Posto consigliato da un'amica e devo dire che è stato un super consiglio. Locale fuori dalle "vie" principali ma pur sempre vicino, con posti a sedere direttamente sulla riva. Personale meraviglioso, gentile, simpatico e molto venice style! Cosa non scontata. Cibo buonissimo, dagli antipasti, primi e secondi. Consiglio di lasciare uno spazio per i dolci: strepitosi! Passerò parola!

02/05/2025: I’m sure sitting by a canal is nice but to truly experience this restaurant you should ask for a table inside the restaurant. The atmosphere is pure Italy, loud, friendly, people bursting into song and the locals greeting each other like long lost brothers. It’s magical. We had a great meal, and it was very reasonably priced. The service was good although the air conditioning was up just a little too high. That said, we would return there every night if we thought we could get a table. Reserve to avoid disappointment.

14/06/2025: best food we’ve had on our trip so far! Gluten free arabiatta was amazing and it came with spaghetti instead of penne which was a nice change. They also brought out gluten free bread stick type things which were really good. Overall highly recommend! in a cute courtyard and lovely staff.

10/06/2025: Wonderful food and nice to get away from the crazy of Venice mainland. Excellent bathrooms. Go when you’re not in a rush.

30/05/2025: Very cute and quiet spot in Venice! The truffle pasta was very good, would recommend. We came for lunch as we wanted to sit outside but the dinner reservations were full, but I don't regret it as it was a great spot for a nice lunch.

08/06/2025: We went to the Antico Calice restaurant on a recommendation. The ambiance was very pleasant, the service friendly and unobtrusive. The menu offered a small but good selection. The millefeuille with swordfish, eggplant, buffalo cheese, and basil was excellent and a true treat. For dessert, we had tiramisu and crême brûlée, which was flambéed at the table. The tiramisu was the best I've had in Venice so far. Prices are mid-to-high, but reasonable for the quality. A truly excellent recommendation that I'm happy to pass on.

15/06/2025: ‼ DO NOT RECOMMEND — STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! ‼ This was absolutely awful. The restaurant in Venice where we went with my boyfriend turned our evening into a real nightmare. From the moment we walked in, we were met with coldness and openly hostile glances — the staff looked at us with pure contempt, as if we were begging for food from the garbage. The waiters were rude, rolling their eyes when we placed our order, reluctantly forcing themselves to answer our questions, and making us feel completely unwelcome. The service was simply terrible. Furthermore, we were charged 7 Euros per person just for sitting down — a so-called “cover charge.” I’ve never experienced anything like this! This 7 Euros should have gone toward delivering a decent service, instead of adding insult to injury. The food, by the way, was tasty — but even that cannot make up for the awful treatment we received. We felt so uncomfortable that we just wanted to get up and leave as soon as possible. These memories will, unfortunately, make us avoid this restaurant in the future. After reading other reviews, I noticed we’re not the only ones who faced this kind of treatment! If I were the manager, I’d completely replace the entire service team. The prices on the menu and the prices we were presented with on the bill didn’t match at all — by our calculations, it should have been 50 Euros, but we ended up with a 70 Euro total. They seem to be making up prices as they wish. ‼ NEVER EVER GO HERE! There are plenty of other restaurants in Venice with much friendlier service, equally tasty food, and much lower prices. Save your time, your nerves, and your wallet! ‼

12/06/2025: Simply fantastic! The lasagna literally melts in your mouth. (I asked and they make their own pasta. ) It was simple food but very well done. The service was excellent. He was personable and fun. I highly recommend this little gem. Oh, it down the alley from the theater.
