at La Torretta in Spoleto. The food was simply superb: carefully crafted dishes, quality ingredients, and an interesting and refined menu, with great attention to flavor. The presentation of the dishes was also impeccable, elegant, and tasteful.
The service was warm, welcoming, and professional from start to finish, making us feel truly welcome. Despite the restaurant being very busy, the atmosphere remained intimate and pleasant, almost family-like.
A place that manages to combine the highest quality and true hospitality. Highly recommended—we can't wait to return.

06/04/2026: We visited this restaurant on Easter Sunday with six friends, and the experience was simply extraordinary.
To say it deserves five stars is an understatement: the dinner far exceeded our expectations. The staff was extremely friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail, making us feel truly welcomed.
One aspect we particularly appreciated was the attention to detail: even those who hadn't ordered certain dishes were able to sample them, thanks to small and very welcome gifts from the kitchen.
And then the food: simply delicious, carefully prepared, and of the highest quality.
All this was accompanied by a more than fair price, absolutely in keeping with the experience.
Without a doubt, an experience worth repeating!
06/04/2026: If you're looking for a place to feel pampered, this is the place. Last night with friends, we enjoyed a private room and impeccable service. The cuisine is a journey of flavors, and the table management was masterful, with complimentary samples for those who hadn't ordered a course so no one was left to watch others eat. Everything, from the table setting to the final bill, was perfect. A truly fair value for money.

Family-run, the service is excellent, and the hospitality and helpfulness are top-notch! Excellent food, quality ingredients, typical Spoleto dishes, and a reasonable price make this restaurant an excellent choice!

09/05/2026: Hi, we had lunch today. There were four of us. The food was a surprise, everything was delicious. The fresh pasta and the meat were excellent, as were the side dishes and desserts. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed by the owner's friendliness. I highly recommend it.
03/05/2026: I came back for my son's communion. I can only tell you that it's an exceptional restaurant, excellent food and fair prices. Mr. Sandro is an exceptional person, he made us feel at home, as did all his staff. For us, it's truly the best.

14/04/2026: I can only review the restaurant, having visited it twice. It's always very crowded, despite its location far from the historic center. A "basic" trattoria, from another era: lots of regulars and few tourists, traditional local dishes well-prepared and served in generous portions. The staff is generally friendly, and the prices are very reasonable... a rare gem!

15/03/2026: Magnificent location and a relaxed atmosphere, perhaps even too relaxed... We appreciated the tranquility of the place, but the wait for dessert was biblical. If the intent was to promote extreme slow food, they achieved their goal! ;-) Jokes aside, a little more attention to service timing would make the experience perfect! To be honest, the place was packed, making it difficult to keep track of everything. The dishes were extremely carefully crafted and unique, though it's a shame about the pre-packaged gluten-free sandwich. This is still high-end dining, so the price is affected, but it's absolutely in line with the quality and attention to detail. We'll definitely be back.

10/05/2026: It was recommended to us by locals, but it's disappointing. Service for the kids was prompt, but for us adults it was slow until the restaurant was full. The platters were good; I recommend the focaccia one over the appetizers. The pork cheek was good, but the tagliata was tear-inducing: poorly presented, overcooked even though we'd asked for it medium rare, and above all, overpriced. €22 for six pieces of meat seems really overpriced.
06/05/2026: You look at the magazine the waiter shows you and see the beautiful dish, but when it arrives it's disappointing! Not worth the visit!

02/05/2026: A truly special evening, one that lingers in your memory. At Osteria del Matto, we found simple cuisine in the best sense of the word: authentic ingredients, traditional flavors, and carefully prepared dishes that showcase the quality of the ingredients without unnecessary artifice.
The set menu takes you on an authentic journey of flavor and tradition, while the service makes the experience even more special: the host, original and unconventional, is an integral part of the restaurant's atmosphere and contributes to creating an evening unlike any other, enjoyable and memorable.
We had a wonderful time, thanks to the quality of what we ate, the way it was cooked, and the way it was presented and served. It was one of those dinners you fondly remember and worth experiencing at least once.

11/04/2026: Terrible restaurant in every way. Tables practically crowded together, too crowded. I hate dining next to strangers, especially if they're as rude as we were... but the most unnerving thing is the food and the service. They brought a slice of bread with a strange sauce without asking, so I asked what it was and the answer was "Tuscan meat." I tasted it and literally felt like vomiting. It was liver with a very strong flavor, inedible! Saying it was liver, was it too expensive??? I have the right to know what I'm eating!!! The first course arrived, pappardelle with prawns and asparagus, a completely unseasoned dish with the asparagus literally tough and woody. I had to add oil twice to eat the pasta, the whole thing was completely disjointed and tasteless. For the second course, we had pistachio salmon, which was a shame it was SPOILED. It stank terribly, and the water around it said it all. What can I say...they didn't even bother to apologize, and that makes me even more infuriating! It's been years since I've eaten so badly at a restaurant. Never again!
