04/01/2026: Unfortunately, my experience at Tempio del Gusto was extremely disappointing. The restaurant presents itself with gourmet ambitions, but the substance is almost entirely lacking. We ordered a truffle pasta dish that was clearly watered down and flavorless, followed by a dessert that was aesthetically pleasing but tasteless. The worst, however, came at checkout. The cashier had no idea what we had consumed, and I had to list the dishes myself. The scene became ridiculous when, after a rough hand recount on a calculator, an error of €10 was discovered to my disadvantage. Once I pointed out the mix-up, the difference was hastily refunded to me in cash. To complete this picture of total disorganization, I was not issued a receipt. From a restaurant that aims for certain levels and prices, such amateurish and opaque management is unacceptable. We won't be returning.

04/01/2026: Arriving without a reservation, I was clearly told there would be a wait. I decided not to give up and patiently lingered inside, near the door, where I could see how quickly and efficiently they served the tables, all of which were occupied. Meanwhile, they found time to hang my coat, offer me a drink several times, and let me look at the menu. Once seated, I chose a tasting menu, based on local produce: from the amuse-bouche to the coffee (served with meringues, amaretti, and miniature desserts), I found everything excellent. Special mention goes to the appetizer and the first course, with truffles, with their unmistakably intoxicating aroma. The service was attentive, the price was appropriate for the quality of the food, and the courtesy shown to customers, even those like me, who were just passing through.

01/01/2026: A cozy place, a subdued atmosphere, attentive and helpful customer service, a clean and comfortable dining room, and excellent food. Perhaps the portions of some dishes are small, like the rice flan and the truffle pasta dish. But I had the tortellini in broth, and the broth was fantastic. I would return.

13/12/2025: Professional service, quality products, and seasonal regional cuisine. Everything is truly delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant is a bit more formal than average, despite being a trattoria, but that's a plus because it offers high quality at a reasonable price.

07/01/2026: A truly wonderful experience! The food was excellent, the recipes beautifully combined, and the service was attentive and competent. The only drawback: it was a bit cold, and the air heating isn't adequate for such a prestigious restaurant.

03/01/2026: Definitely one of the best restaurants in Spoleto. The atmosphere is refined, the service impeccable, perhaps just a touch too formal. The cuisine offers updated Umbrian dishes, sometimes revisited with a confident and expert touch, with a vaguely French flavor. Such is the case with the lamb crepinette or the pigeon with foie gras. The egg, with creamed potato, truffle, and kataifi pasta, is delicious, as are the tagliatelle with black truffle. Simple and perfect. The wine list is extensive and satisfying. The bill is appropriate for the setting. An excellent place.

05/12/2025: We were looking for a traditional place in Spoleto, and the good reviews piqued our interest, so we stopped here. It's an excellent, old-fashioned, rustic place, serving traditional Umbrian dishes. The staff are friendly and approachable, and the service is very practical, yet fast and attentive. It's definitely traditional, dated, but effective for a good, typical Umbrian lunch.

The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it! If I ever return to Spoleto, I'll definitely go here. ♡
