10/04/2026: This was surprisingly forgettable. Not awful or bad, just not memorable at all. Our waiter was probably 14 years old. Really. It was cute because it's a family run place. When I asked him for a Brunello recommendation, he had an answer with confidence, but that wine turned out to be pretty whimsy (no body) especially for a Brunello. He spilled it when he poured, and had the social skills of an eighth grader, naturally. Carpaccio was pretty good and quite generous. Bruschete was kind of bland. Margherita pizza was fair (by Italian standards). Pana Cotta was quite good. We appreciated very much that they had about a dozen wines sold by the glass. Prices were reasonable.

29/12/2025: Excellent and well-prepared food, very kind staff, every time I go to Rapolano I have to stop!!

26/12/2025: We stayed in Rapolano on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve, treating ourselves to a spa experience. We then discovered, surprisingly, that the real gift was booking two consecutive evenings at this Trattoria! We were greeted with a complimentary welcome drink (a rare, precious gesture) and then immediately experienced the spontaneous kindness of the dining room staff, their smiles, their attentive service, and the delicious dishes that tasted of things made with love and pleasure. We thank the owner and chef for this wellness experience on such special days of the year. After meeting her, we learned that you can be anywhere and receive any service, but the unforgettable ingredient, which changes and transforms everything, remains the human heart.

30/06/2025: Acogedor restaurante que sirve excelente cocina toscana. Ambiente agradable, personal muy atento y amable. Nuestros platos (pasta y risotto) estaban perfectamente cocinados.

10/03/2026: We basically had "our bed in the kitchen." That took some getting used to. There are certainly alternatives in that lovely little town.

14/06/2026: We had to wait until 7:00 PM for this taverna to open, but it was worth it. We ordered tagliolini with fresh truffles and orecchiette with zucchini and tomatoes. The pasta was delicious, cooked to perfection, and aromatically seasoned. The portions were generous, and I highly recommend the overall experience.

14/06/2026: The first Osteria outside the walls of Siena, on the way to Piazza del Campo. Delicious food at affordable prices. We had tagliolini with fresh truffles and orecchiette with zucchini and tomatoes. We weren't disappointed. The only, and biggest, drawback is that the place only opens at 7:00 PM, obviously joking. I recommend it.

11/06/2026: We paid 77 euros for two meals (a few pieces of meat with gristle and fat, a handful of potatoes, and two glasses of white wine). The food was really poor and of low quality

22/05/2026: Was closed while 2,000 cyclists rode past per day over 3 days. Missed opportunity

07/04/2026: We tried to eat there twice. It was open with open tables and well before their closing time. We were traveling with two hungry children. We asked both days if we could have a table for 4- to which the lady just said “no.” Terrible service. Not welcoming at all. It felt prejudice like a couple other places we experienced in Pienza. Sad because we loved the town and wanted to support the businesses but were treated badly. We decided to leave pienza after two of these experiences.

30/03/2026: Highly recommended! The appetizers are especially good. The service is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

22/03/2026: Lovely team, very friendly and attentive. The food unfortunately was not the best. Even the tiramisu was a disappointment. Not made in the traditional way. The La Reine biscuits were too crunchy. I wouldn't mind if the prices were low but you pay a lot for the lack of quality. Also felt unwell after dining there.

23/01/2026: We ate here last night. The atmosphere was very subdued, with soft lighting and pleasant background music. We had the artichoke flan, the pici cacio e pepe, the cheek with mashed potatoes, and two different desserts...all delicious! I didn't use a knife to eat the cheek... The prices were more than reasonable. All "topped off" by a very kind owner who had already brought water for our dog in no time... Highly recommended!!!!

31/05/2026: The food was poor, and the staff was completely untrained. These were first-timers who didn't know what to do or how to do it. Our dishes were served by a guy who wasn't even a waiter. Don't let The Fork fool you.

25/05/2026: Had lunch on 05/24/2026 on a trip to a characteristic restaurant located in the historic center, adjacent to the Duomo. Not very large, with an adjoining outdoor terrace, also small. Two internal rooms, with one slightly raised, with vaults made of exposed brick, typical of period architecture. Tourist menu: pici with cheese and pepper, dessert (two variations, Sacher and cheese cake), water, coffee, €20. All 23 of the group were satisfied.
