15/05/2025: I have known Silvia, Johnny, Filippo and Lorenzo since they had the other restaurant and I have followed them because going out to eat is not just a matter of leisure or convenience because you don't feel like cooking or because we are passing through the area: I leave from Livorno on purpose, for example. The open kitchen was a strong point in the other restaurant too and they have kept it as a winning idea. The environment is intimate, logically very clean, and everything chosen as furniture or furnishings is not there by chance: this thing allows you to get to know Silvia in a subliminal way more than anything else. Johnny is a very ambitious man and therefore always tries to outdo himself and proposes things only when the level of the final result is at its maximum, this refers to the dish and its presentation. When he comes out of the kitchen and comes to ask you if everything went well, he doesn't do it to be celebrated but only because I am pleased to have satisfied the customer's needs. Filippo is very capable in the service and is constantly evolving both for the topic of wines and for meats: apart from the sommelier courses he often goes around to other restaurants just to understand what not to offer in his. Lorenzo in the kitchen with his dad is learning I go out I take the various cooking methods, some invented by Johnny himself. It's all delicious but I'll tell you how I reasoned the first time I arrived there: "If you put ragù on the menu of a restaurant you have to do it better than I do it." In fact I prefer that. My vote is 10 on everything.

03/06/2025: È la seconda volta che pernotto e ceno qui. Il primo anno sono rimasta estasiata, la camera era stupenda perché i dettagli la rendevano unica! Fiori, cura, profumi, angolo per il the, terrazzino...tutto da fiaba. Colazione meravigliosamente allestita sia dolce che salata, tutto freschissimo e di qualità. Personale gentilissimo, solare. La cena sul terrazzo è solo da provare! Quest'anno, la seconda volta, sempre super! C'è stato un piccolo problema che ha dimostrato quanto la pace e la cura del cliente sia per il Pinzagrilli una pratica da non trascurare. Il problema è stato risolto con grande professionalità e gentilezza, con calma e serenità, in un lasso di tempo incredibilmente breve. Tornerò al Pinzagrilli ancora e ancora. Lo consiglio caldamente soprattutto ai fidanzati che vogliono fare una bellissima impressione alle loro fidanzate 😍. La conduzione è famigliare, garanzia di un servizio che vuole essere il migliore possibile. Il cibo è curato, fresco, buonissimo e bellissimo da vedere. Apprezzato da vista, olfatto e gusto. 22/04/2025: Genuinely, the absolute best meal I've ever had. I will always search through reviews to find the best place.. and I cannot explain how much you need to trust me that this is the best place. I don't really want fellow tourists to find it as I wish that this could stay a hidden gem, but my gosh, they deserve too. Wowowowow!! Had 20% discount with The Fork, but asked them to take it off because it was wildly deserving of the full price. Wowowow! Will come back to Pisa just to eat here again.

25/05/2025: Last night we had dinner here, what can I say, superlative in everything, courtesy, well presented original dishes, flavours and combinations, perfectly balanced and equilibrated, with ingredients, that you can feel first quality, a wonderfully infinite wine list, enchanting place immersed in a countryside that speaks for itself, very good guys, compliments really!!!! we will definitely be back.

22/05/2025: The food was very tasty but I opened too late at 7.30pm. The food was quickly at the table. The staff were super friendly. We were there with our dog and it wasn't a problem...we didn't sleep there so I can't say anything about it. The location is great and there's enough space to park. I would recommend it and will definitely go back.

05/06/2025: We were there last night, we happened to be there by chance because we were on holiday nearby... really excellent food, very kind and attentive staff, the owner was really nice and also very kind, he even offered us coffee, it wasn't as if we were old customers, if we ever have to come back we will definitely go there... (also because he has to explain to me where the name Pici comes from 😊😊😊😄😄😄😄)

04/06/2025: They had no room and that's fine, but if a customer is passing by it's quite unkind to reply with an ironic smile: come back tonight. You can be polite and reply that there is no room. However, it was recommended to me by the staff at the hotel where I stayed and they told me that it was very good for those with intolerances like me. It will certainly be so.

20/05/2025: Excellent place to eat if you're visiting Volterra! The service is spectacular and the food delicious! The pasta with ragu and risotto are delicious, and the chocolate cake is moist! We highly recommend it!

10/05/2025: Trattoria tipica alle porte del centro, tovaglia a quadri rosso e bianchi e cucina tipica. Siamo stati accorti calorosamente, ci è stato esposto il menu e i fuori menù (che sono un secondo menù, top). Porzioni giuste e cibo genuino e gustoso. Abbiamo preso pasta fresca con sugo al colombaccio, casarecce verdure salsiccia e pecorino. Di secondo lampredotto con verdure in agrodolce e zuppo di stoccafisso e cipolle. Prezzo giusto. Siamo stati bene. Consigliato.

05/05/2025: Elegant place, with soft lights and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. Traditional dishes prepared with care and well presented. A classic and sincere restaurant. Staff friendly and available for explanations. I will definitely return in the summer season.

13/05/2025: Very small tavern with reservation required. We ate well with a price in line with the average. The truffle was very fragrant but unfortunately not tasty, despite this it was all good.

11/05/2025: Very nice family-run osteria with a nice selection of Tuscan dishes. Good local wines by the glass and bottle. Had a fantastic gnocchi with cacio e pepe and pear.

28/05/2025: Really nice place in the middle of Tuscan hills. Simple decor but great food. Only one small remark, the chocolate suffle was a bit too overdone but the rest, including wine, was great.

16/05/2025: A super cosy place in a small village. Restaurant is small and usually in the evening is totally full, so booking in advance is recommended. Last year we did a dinner of 25 people here and everything was organised and went great. This time - just the two of us. The area is known for their truffles and this restaurant represents it. Most of the dishes are made with truffles, if it’s burrata or caprese salad, you will find truffles on any, so if you like truffles - highly recommend. The staff is friendly, helpful, one girl speaks english. And the prices are very affordable.
