Locanda del Gallo In Chianni

We stayed at the Locanda del Gallo at the end of May I can only give 5 stars for everything I'll start from the location: a splendid view of the Tuscan hills accompanied us throughout the dinner. The other guests were Tuscan but I, originally from Puglia, was not used to such beauty For the food: months later, we are still dreaming about the entire menu chosen. Chianti tuna sublime!!! For the service: we were waited on hand and foot and welcomed by Simone like never before We will definitely come for the opening of the new restaurant in Livorno!

It's wonderful to find a tavern capable of discovering and restoring old traditional dishes, well cooked and excellently described. The owners were very kind in carefully preparing the take-away food for us, given that the place was (understandably) full. Approved with conviction.

Every dish is a delight! You leave satisfied with the food, the environment and the courtesy and friendliness of the owner and his staff.

Great ambiance and delicious food. The place has a spectacular view of the rolling hills below. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The quality and taste of the food was outstanding at its price level (110 euro for a family).

Food was delicious, service was very good, but the soap dispenser in the toilet was not working and we had to wait a long time for the bill.

Bellissima location, se si può star fuori c'è una vista sulle colline pisane fantastica. Bellissimo anche il ristorante. Servizio giovane, ma molto capace, fa anche piacere che la prima preoccupazione era dare da mangiare al bambino. Piatti ottimi, misto toscano era tutto buono, ma il prosciutto crudo ancora lo sogno. Il maiale con le mele era di un altra categoria, cicorie saltate poi appena amare Torta al cioccolato fondente, stra buona. Buona scelta di vini, a prezzi giusti Prezzi in generale per me bassi per quanto offerto.

Ate some excellent homemade tagliatelle with a fantastic onion and sausage sauce. Peposo top. Fast service and very helpful guys in the room.

Best tagliatelle ragu in Tuscany

Il posto è incantevole, un ampio parcheggio, la cornice ben curata, pulito e luminoso. Il personale preparatissimo. il servizio veloce ed efficente. Purtroppo i piatti non hanno riscontrato totalmente il nostro gusto. Io ho preso la rosticciana, erano 4 pezzi di carne ma quasi totalmente osso e grasso (duro), moltissimo olio nella ricetta, davvero troppo. La pasta fresca al ragù - la pasta un vero splendore - il sugo al ragù grasso (mio figlio che mangia anche i sassi mi ha fatto notare diversi pezzi di grasso in mezzo al macinato). Poi abbiamo preso questa pasta fresca al ragù bianco di salsiccia con cipolla stufata. Di nuovo la pasta Ottima, il condimento non si riusciva a portare a fine piatto poichè davvero molto dolce, dopo un pò stufava e anche qui se spostavi il ragù potevi riempire un bicchiere di olio. L'antipasto toscano buono (non speciale), alcuni pezzi di grasso (duro) attaccati al crudo che era stato tagliato al coltello, il crudo era molto molto. Molto buoni i crostini ai fegatini, il resto nella media. Il dolce. Buona la crem broulè, ma il tiramisù, un pò tanto dolce e gli oro saiwa utilizzzati erano ridotti totalemente a pappetta. Avevamo aspettative molto alte, secondo me c'è il margine per fare molto meglio con le potenzialità che ha il posto e il preparatissimo personale che ci lavora.
