22/05/2024: Nice place Mediocre food (porcini mushroom risotto not up to the price) But above all the terrible service or the waitress who when asked for clarification on a ... Dish from the colleague who was having lunch with me, she opened her arms in annoyance without answering....before going into the kitchen to ask...and then returning with a sneer of someone who also believes they are right. Embarrassing.

09/05/2024: My wife and I stumbled on this place one evening as we explored Florence. It is somewhat unassuming, and we were about to walk on by when the incredibly charismatic Claudio suddenly appeared. They had no tables available, but his friendly demeanour caused us to stop for a chat. He assured us a table would be ready soon and in return for waiting a few moments, he offered a free cup of wine! After a brief wait Claudio brought us to our table and we were introduced to our server, Dovi. He is a very friendly young man, originally from the beautiful country of Albania. He provided us with a level of service that goes far beyond what one would expect. To say we were treated like royalty would be an understatement. I know a few reviews mentioned feeling slighted because they did not speak Italian but that was not our experience. We are from Canada and do not speak a lick of Italian. If anything, they made is feel like we were locals who had been coming there for years. Beyond the exceptional service, the food was equally amazing. Despite very reasonable prices, the portions were huge, and the quality was top notch. My Florentine steak was absolutely massive and was prepared perfectly. We also had pasta, wine, charcuterie, and a bean side dish, all of which were excellent. We finished off this memorable meal with a nice dessert accompanied by cappuccino which Dovi made extra special with a shot of Amaro Nardini. I do not usually spend this much time on a review, but I feel compelled to share just how excellent this place is. We dined at many great restaurants during our time in Italy, some much fancier, but this one is at the top of our list! If you find yourself in Florence please drop by and experience all this wonderful restaurant has to offer.

07/06/2024: Traditional Tuscan restaurant. We arrived by chance looking for somewhere to eat at 10 at night and it was open. The delicious carbonara pasta, the waiters very friendly, in general everything was super, an excellent recommendation.

04/06/2024: We went with the recommendation of our Airbnb host, and it was fantastic! We had the Fiorentine steak and loved it so much. The price is super reasonable for the quality. The wine recommendation was great too.

31/05/2024: The Google reviews have this listed as a hotel , but it’s a restaurant near a hotel. A real hidden gem. The service was the best I’ve experienced in Italy. Highly attentive staff with pleasant and patient personalities. They were happy to explain each dish and make thoughtful recommendations. Food is unique with amazing presentation. Not large portions, but a complete dining experience.

30/05/2024: Perfect service during dinner by Stefano and Emia. We enjoyed the local dishes with individual wine pairing per dishes. Great place for dinner.

30/03/2024: We ate risotto and pizzata, and for dessert Cavour (meringue with cream), everything was very delicious. A super nice waitress served us, we saw the nonna, an authentic Italian cook, and the nono flirting with any young girl. Authentic Italian atmosphere.

25/03/2024: This restaurant was recommended to me by the hotel where I am staying because of the friendly service and the delicious vegetarian dishes. But I found it very disappointing. We couldn't help but laugh and the pasta wasn't special either.

14/05/2024: Had a delightful meal at La Martinicca - our last evening in Florence. Entrecôte and delicious asparagus risotto. Could not resist the chocolate and hazelnut cake. The service was so friendly and great homely atmosphere.

25/03/2024: I returned after almost twenty years, for a childhood memory, and I did very well! Just behind Piazza della Signoria, you can enjoy authentic Florentine cuisine, with the classic crostini with lard, with liver pâté, then moving on to wild boar with polenta and an excellent Fiorentina cooked to perfection, all accompanied by excellent Chianti. Very kind staff, bill appropriate to the high quality of the experience, we will definitely return again, highly recommended!

25/03/2024: One of the best pastas we ate on the trip. The flavor of the sauce and the consistency of the pasta were excellent. We ordered the “I PACCHERI DEL MACELLAIO” and “LE FETTUCCINE MAREMMANE”. The tiramisu was also worth it. The best we've ever eaten.

Good quality of the raw materials, excellent preparation of the dishes, excellent proposals for homemade dishes such as carpaccio of boiled tongue with green sauce, Florentine rrippa, peposo and many others. Well done, a non-touristy place, certainly worth trying.

23/05/2024: Great florentine osteria located right at Piazza della Passera frequented by locals. We had cow's stomach sushi, tripe fried in tempura, florentine tripe, cow's tangue carpaccio, crepelle alla fiorentine and ravioli di lampredotto in salsa di cipolle. All dishes were excellent, my #1 was florentine teipe. The proprietor recommended us a very suitable local wine, that complemended our dishes.

25/05/2024: Love this restaurant. My husband and I got a veal chop and a steak and both were delicious and prepared great. We also got the Tuscan white beans and they were so good, got a nice bottle of Chianti wine. Service very friendly and helpful.
