The attentive service made all the difference; the helpful, friendly, yet professional staff made the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it if you're visiting Portopalo di Capo Passero.

27/08/2025: This restaurant deserves a Michelin star: the ambiance, the service, the attention to detail, the food is ALL fresh and carefully prepared, perfectly cooked. The wine list is excellent, all Sicilian. Desserts? A delight for the palate. The young man who served us from start to finish was kind, attentive, and attentive. If I lived in Sicily, it would be a regular stop. I'll definitely be back!

17/05/2025: Siamo una famiglia di origine Catanese e di cucina ne capiamo un pò.. siamo venuti a cenare in questa trattoria. Sevizio pessimo a rilento e con la premura di togliere i piatti ancora da completare, accoglienza discreta, location discreta per il posto in cui si trova e infine per quanto riguarda l'aspetto principale abbiamo pagato un occhio della testa facendoci coinvolgere dal titolare che voleva portarci gli antipasti tipici della casa (ci ha riempiti e nauseati di patate fatte in modi diversi qualche fetta di salume scadente e un po di caponata) il tutto accompagnato da 1/2 di vino locale e una fetta di carne per la mia bambina (buona almeno quella), un sorbetto.. e non vi dico quanto ho pagato senza mangiare nulla di quantità e qualità sopratutto! Ne avete approfittato solo perché siamo di passaggio.. e infine imparate a fare gli scontrini senza che vi vengano chiesti. MAI PIÙ

14/09/2025: While on vacation in Sicily, we saw this restaurant along the road to Modica. The sign says "traditional cuisine," so we stopped in. It was a great experience. We returned every night we were in Modica. We took their advice and tried a few different dishes, including the pizza. All the food was excellent. The owners are friendly, kind, and attentive to their customers. We had a great time. They also gave us advice on what to try and see in Modica. Well done, keep up the good work. 21/06/2025: I have been frequenting this beautiful Sicilian place for years, where I find courtesy, professionalism and excellent food, the pastry shop what can I say... sublime! Today I tasted a very fresh shaken coffee, a real treat, made by the barista Mirko always very kind and friendly! If you are in the Prati area you can't miss going to "Catanese" I highly recommend it!

26/10/2025: The bar is located in front of Scicli's town hall and has an indoor dining room downstairs and tables outside. We ordered a typical Scicli dessert, the ricotta-filled testa di moro. It looked lovely and tasted good. The testa di moro also comes in a cream-filled version. Reasonable prices.

18/09/2025: La Norma in Lucca is a proper Italian delight, positively buzzing with charm. The tasting menu was an absolute triumph—every dish bursting with fresh, authentic Sicilian flavours that made each bite utterly bellissimo. Truly, everything was delicious, no question. The young waiters and waitresses, sweet as they were, seemed like trainees, which slowed service a smidge—our meal stretched to a leisurely two hours, leaving us so gloriously stuffed we couldn’t even contemplate dessert. Still, the food’s sheer brilliance earns it a smashing five stars. I’d saunter back for more in a heartbeat.

07/10/2025: Happy to have finally gone to this place that I've been following on social media for a while but it was even better than expected... excellent quality of the dishes... elegant place... friendly service and a truly welcoming owner... everything perfect!

06/10/2025: The location is certainly beautiful, but the smell is noticeable from the moment you enter. The service was terrible, from a waiter who struggled to speak or understand Italian but ignored repeated requests for assistance. No customer service, we were served sloppily. The eggplant rolls were disappointing, the sea urchin bavette was standard fare. Even the swordfish skewers were absolutely ordinary, full of bread and a homeopathic amount of fish. The sardines al beccafico, on the other hand, were interesting, though nothing exceptional. Perhaps it's no coincidence that less than half the tables were occupied. All this for an €8 cover charge and a 15% service charge, which wasn't perceived. In conclusion, avoid; I've rarely had such a bad experience in Milan. At these prices, never.

28/09/2025: Excellent breakfast, even my daughter enjoyed it. Our hospital stay was made even more pleasant by the products offered and the pleasant conversation. We'll have to return for lunch or dinner...

12/07/2025: We stumbled upon this little shop by chance and were blown away by the food selection! Typical Palermitan delicacies, such as bread and panelle, freshly fried arancini, and superb Sicilian cannoli. The guy behind the counter was incredibly friendly. We'll definitely be back.

17/09/2025: Excellent dining experience. We found this restaurant by chance while walking back from the Botanical Gardens. So pleased we went in. The food and service were excellent. Quality of the food was outstanding. Best food we have had in Palermo. Beautiful setting as well. I would highly recommend.

02/09/2025: Located behind Piazza Marina, off the beaten path, this family-run restaurant was a real surprise! The interior is meticulously designed, the staff is friendly and very professional, and, above all, the food is delicious! From the outside, it seems more pretentious than it actually is: prices are in line with the city, and only if you choose a special wine or the off-menu catch of the day can they rise! The tartare of raw shrimp with bottarga is delicious! The first courses are delicious! The only flaw is the limited dessert selection (usually cannoli and tiramisu).
