25/03/2024: We enjoyed one of the best meals we had in Rome at Da Emilios . This family run restaurant was a pleasant surprise being so close to our AIRBNB rental. We met the entire family from Mom cooking in the kitchen, to Dad coming out to the table several times during the meal to be sure everything was good, to the brothers waiting the tables. We were told by the family that their Roman Artichokes (Carciofi alla Romana) were the best in Rome. This was confirmed by us after trying them at several other restaurant's after trying theirs...none came close !

21/03/2024: The best discoveries are the random ones. You choose to avoid the busy Via Nomentana, deciding to take the parallel Via Alessandria and you come across the eye-catching sign, trattoria da Emilio. You decide to go in because when it's time, it was after thirteen, and your stomach claims its claim to be filled, you can't help but cross the entrance of this restaurant which shows the traveler all its charm as a place of 'Antan. The cuisine is traditional, with a rich menu made up of Roman dishes and more. Authentic, sincere and genuine are the adjectives that can be used for this Roman restaurant location, which are well suited to the dishes that are brought to the nearby tables. The traveler, sitting comfortably at his table, opted for the broccoli and sprightly soup as a first course and had never been happier with his choice, as he was rewarded by the goodness of an ancient Roman dish, cooked to perfection with the accompaniment of broken spaghetti. Followed by a great fish, which went down without a hitch, in perfect harmony with the previous dish. The assimilation of the dishes was helped by a truly sincere and frank white wine from the house. Highly courteous and efficient service. Correct account. Congratulations truly deserved. I'll be back.

06/04/2024: Delicious typical dishes, served at good times. Professional and really nice staff, extremely patient even though we were a little undisciplined. If I really have to make a note, I would improve the dessert. Absolutely recommended

10/05/2024: I booked a table for 20 people on the weekend the day before for the next day. Super available. And really friendly. (Which in cities such as Rome and the historic center should not be taken for granted) The food was EXCELLENT. They certainly acquired new customers! I'll be back. Congratulations indeed. 28/03/2024: What can we say about this hidden gem? I am sure many others had echoed my words but it is worth mentioning it again. The food, service, and atmosphere transport you from a restaurant to a local's home...and make you feel at home while at it! We had the bruschetta, ravioli (with spinach and cheese), cacio e pepe, and the house (red) wine. We would have gone for the tiramisu had we not been overly satisfied and filled with the amazing food. Portions are great and mouth-watering. A definite must for anyone visiting Rome.

06/04/2024: After seeing this restaurant on social media they wanted to try it... wonderful discovery! Delightful and quiet place with the two owners who are truly professional and attentive to the customer's well-being. The truly spectacular dinner from the octopus and potatoes to the lemon pistachio tagliolini and tuna tartare, their fried artichokes and calamari but without forgetting the trifle. Really excellent See you soon for sure

22/03/2024: Tutto ottimo, dall'antipasto al dolce. Il bello di oggi, è stata la richiesta espressa, fatta il giorno precedente, di avere un piatto speciale: zucchine ripiene di carne (a cui lo chef ha poi affiancato delle polpettine di carne al sugo). Davvero tutto ottimo e personale gentilissimo. Stra-consigliato!

31/03/2024: Nice place in Genzano. Particular and very pleasant furnishings. Traditional and particular dishes (e.g. with the addition of artichokes). The appetizers were excellent (consider that three of us ate with one) and the radicchio risotto with cream cheese and toasted walnuts). Good prices, consider €30 for shared starter, first course, side dish and dessert

31/03/2024: Very good price-performance ratio! Very tasty food. Tastes like it was cooked by an Italian grandma and the cakes are also very tasty. Ate the best lasagna I've ever had here. However, there are no pizzas... but still by far the best restaurant I would fly to Rome again just to eat here... Definitely recommended

05/04/2024: We were here for the first time in 2015, then in the old place! Already here in 2019 at the new location! We were here again at our favorite restaurant in Rome! Amazing food and environment! Paulo is still the best host!
