Truly superlative, typical family-run Roman cuisine! We ate very well accompanied by excellent advice on dishes and pairings! If we return to Rome we will definitely return

03/12/2024: Trattorie “romane”, a Roma, ce ne sono molte. Per lo più stanno in centro o in luoghi dove c’è passaggio di turisti. Poi ci sono quelle di periferia, quelle dov’è ti portano, quelle che trovi per caso e dove difficilmente trovi orde di turisti affamati e pronti a “bersi” la romanità a colpi di stornelli e tovaglie a quadretti. Qui, anche, c’è la immancabile tovaglia a quadretti bianchi e rossi; qui c’è l’immancabile oste di dimensioni smisurate che ti accoglie come se ti conoscesse da anni. Ma, qui c’è soprattutto il “saper cucinare”. E non è da tutti. Indirizzo da segnare se si vuole mangiare carbonara, cacio e pepe, fettuccine, carciofi, trippa (morbidissima), fagioli e cotiche, saltimbocca ecc ecc.

25/11/2024: Osteria Romana a pochi passi da ponte Marconi. Il Menù offre pochi piatti ma buoni. Rigatoni all'amatriciana molto buoni così come i carciofi fritti e gli altri piatti ordinati con unica eccezione per la burrata. Servizio veloce e amichevole come dovrebbe essere in tutte le osterie Romane. Ritorneremo di sicuro perché ci siamo trovati bene.

21/07/2024: I went to this place with friends who knew it. The owner is very kind and attentive, as are the rest of the staff. I tasted several dishes and I can say that they were all really good and very well presented. I'm sure I'll be back to try other dishes! I would also like to add that some of the dishes mentioned below are not there, as they are part of the winter menu but have been replaced by other dishes in line with the season. Congratulations to all of you.

16/12/2024: We try to come here whenever we're in Rome. Always friendly, simple, traditional, and good. Always a line and always worth the wait. Over the years (probably thanks to reviews like this on TripAdvisor) it has become less local, more touristy. Translated menus, English spoken by the staff, less Italian heard in the dining room. But guess what? It still reliably hits the mark for warm welcome and food quality. That's high praise after two decades.

10/12/2024: Un lugar cálido de otra época en el Centro Storico, frecuentado tanto por italianos como por turistas de buena calidad (siempre he argumentado que hay dos tipos de turistas, pero este no es el lugar para analizar - ya sabes lo que quiero decir). La comida de Nonna servida de forma sencilla y en porciones ricas, vino de la casa de buena calidad (creo que no hay otras opciones, pero aquí esto no es un problema). Mi experiencia general, compartir mesa con completos extraños en una tarde lluviosa en Roma fue como salir de una película, y un poco surrealista. Hermosa.

07/07/2024: Very nice place and a really romantic and pleasant atmosphere. About thirty seats, simple but varied menu with typical dishes. Friendly and helpful staff. Average prices: 1 aubergine cutlet, baked potatoes, maccheroncini all'amatriciana and 2 cokes = €37. Abundant dishes. Well done!!!

05/07/2024: The only dish that stands out for me is the pinsa crouton and good drinks include the soft drink and water. too expensive for the quality of the dishes

06/12/2024: The food is delicious, they make the pasta themselves and you can see how they make it in the dining room. The tiramisu is incredibly delicious. The prices are the same as in that entire area.

15/12/2024: We tried to eat at this restaurant the previous night but due to not having a reservation was abruptly told we could not eat here - which is okay as it is a small establishment. We decided to make a reservation and come back the next night. We were sat quickly outside as requested and order taken promptly. We ordered carbonara and a pizza which were very tasty - cannot fault the food. The one thing that let the restaurant down was the service. When we were first sat, they were very attentive and made sure we were happy. However, once we were given our food the service went downhill. The servers were stood beside our table having a conversation. They took our plates away and left us sitting. We were never offered dessert menus, which we were looking forward to. We eventually asked for the bill and left without dessert. Overall, the food was very good but the service let it down.

26/08/2024: We sat outside but the street is quite quiet so that's fine; good and rather fast service and good dishes. We tried appetizers and first courses on this tour and were satisfied. We'll see each other again!

07/12/2024: Strolling near Piazza del Popolo, we discovered Trattoria Al Gran Sasso, a cozy establishment that combines Roman cuisine with Abruzzo touches. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, which enriches the dining experience. Parking in the area is complicated but the agreement with a garage in the area lightens the burden. There are some tables outside. Prices are average. The choice of wines is decent.
