10/10/2025: I'd already been for lunch with friends and had a great time, so I decided to return with my boyfriend. While we looked at the menu posted outside, we were offered a 10% discount card and told they still had the summer menu (I was thinking about ordering pumpkin soup like last time, but it wasn't available, despite it being late September, a perfect time for pumpkin dishes in a place where it's particularly typical). We ordered two first courses: macaroni with beef stew—nothing to complain about, they were good, but the spaghetti (bigoli rather than spaghetti; if I'd known, I wouldn't have chosen them) with clams and cherry tomatoes wasn't the same. The dish was watered down and without even a single cherry tomato, so I asked the waiter for the menu to make sure I hadn't gotten confused, and then pointed it out to him... he said he'd report it to the kitchen and asked if I wanted them to remake it, but I refused because I'd already eaten half of it and because it wasn't particularly tasty anyway, tasted like nothing. On top of that, for a four-euro cover charge, there's not even a small dish to put the clam shells on. We order water and are brought a half liter for €3.50, which is excessive. Or rather, we're happy to pay if the service is worth it and the food is good, but €22 for a dish with two ingredients where one is missing... We decide not to order anything else, despite our initial intentions of having a main course or dessert. At the cashier, the girl asks me for my table number. I tell her the order slip was missing because the waiter had taken it while clearing the table. She asks me to go check anyway. I do so and repeat that it's not there, at which point she asks me to go out again and ask any waiter for my table number. I find myself running after waiters trying to find out my table number. When I paid, they deducted €5.50 at the suggestion of the waiter to whom I'd reported the mix-up with the first course... but they probably would have deducted it anyway given the 10% discount they'd given us at the beginning. Too bad, it would be a nice place...

24/07/2025: I was here in 2022 and I intend to return... To once again eat 'Riso alla Pilota'!!! Delicious!

20/07/2025: It's a shame there's no air conditioning. Good food. The first course was plentiful. The bread wasn't exactly inviting. It was a business lunch. Overall, it's okay.

21/09/2025: A lovely historical restaurant with amazing service and traditional dishes and wines. It is a family business and the owner was very kind and friendly. We were given a traditional dessert for free, as well as some bread selection in the beginning. Overall - a lovely experience and would definitely recommend!

14/09/2025: A culinary experience that deserves the best! We were in Mantua for a weekend and chose to dine at this restaurant, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The atmosphere is refined, elegant, and welcoming, perfect for a special evening. The service was impeccable. The staff is attentive, professional, and available to answer any questions, without ever being intrusive. They expertly guided us through our selection of dishes and wine. And the food... simply exceptional! We started with delicious appetizers, which paved the way for unforgettable main courses. The stew with polenta was so tender it melted in your mouth, a true traditional masterpiece. The rabbit with herbs was also exquisite, delicate, and perfectly flavorful, while the tagliata was perfectly cooked and of the highest quality. All this was accompanied by an excellent wine, expertly recommended, which enhanced the flavors of each course. "La Cucina di Mantova" isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy the authentic flavors of Mantua in a high-quality setting. We'll definitely be back.

06/05/2025: Dopo 40 anni che siamo clienti, delusi dai prezzi raddoppiati e un servizio scadente, mai successo come ripeto da clienti per oltre 40 anni. Abbiamo festeggiato matrimoni, battesimi, comunioni, compleanni e portato numerosi amici e conoscenti come nuova clientela, alla quale gireremo il nostro disappunto. Per ultimo 2 antipasti semplici 40 EURO. E chiudo peccato !

05/05/2025: Questo ristorante è davvero carino, sia nei suoi spazi interni, sia nel cortile. Cibo molto buono, servizio veloce, piano bar per nulla "invadente", e conto perfetto. Torneremo sicuramente :-)

14/05/2025: The place is dated, however the dining room is welcoming and clean. The managers were really kind and thoughtful and showed us special attention. We enjoyed a delicious dinner. The place is not exactly located along our usual routes, but if we have the opportunity we will gladly return.

19/03/2025: Absolutely high price. €14 for 100g of tagliatelle and €3 cover charge for a dated Molyo restaurant are absolutely a disproportionate price. Final bill €21 (tagliatelle, water, coffee). I don't give 1 star because the tagliatelle were good.

18/05/2025: Ottima trattoria. Tutto perfetto. Dalla location sulla meravigliosa Piazza delle Erbe. Alle portate deliziose, ampiamente descritte dal personale competente e gentile. La famiglia ci ha donato questa cena. È stato un regalo veramente apprezzato. 😘
