I used their online wine shop service. Not only did the owner, Corrado, respond immediately to repeated questions about the products and terms of sale, but they also held a high-value bottle aside for over a month without even a deposit. When it finally arrived, it was perfect, and the shipping was super fast. Courteous and professional, among the best.

I've dined at this restaurant twice, with family and as a couple. The atmosphere is very refined, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the owners have created a pleasant personal atmosphere. The quality dishes, including traditional Mantuan and Asian cuisine, are top-notch, and the service is truly attentive. Excellent experience.

I'm reviewing this place as a restaurant! Since I can't rate the food, the 5-star rating for the rooms is based on our dinner experience. We didn't try the B&B service. The restaurant showcases two distinct culinary styles that blend perfectly in a restaurant that welcomes you as if you were dining at a friend's house...a friend who knows a thing or two about cooking. The offerings range from traditional Italian and Mantuan dishes to Asian-inspired dishes. Both offer truly high-quality dishes, with aromas and flavors that transport you to China, Hong Kong, and Japan, like the ramen and mixed antipasto, alongside perfectly executed classics like tagliolini with truffle or shrimp and shrimp bisque. You can't go wrong with the desserts either (but you have to try the Mantuan rose cake because you'll never go back!). Honorable mention goes to the dining room service and the sommelier, who guided us through a blind wine tasting, featuring truly rare labels and delightful discoveries. For dinner, with a mixed appetizer per person and a main course each, plus dessert, wine, and service charge, we spent €60-65 per person, which is more than deserved. Congratulations!

A welcoming restaurant with a beautiful bookcase filled with books. The kitchen, overseen by Amy, expertly offers local and Asian dishes. Corrado welcomes guests with great professionalism. The wine list is excellent, ranging from small local producers to more prestigious Italian and international labels. Excellent value for money. Reservations recommended.

Amy's cooking is excellent. Corrado's welcome is warm and friendly, but not intrusive. The truffles are very fragrant and special.

Trattoria Leoncino Rosso

18/04/2026: We had lunch, excellent traditional Mantuan dishes at very reasonable prices. The outside is beautiful, under a grand vault.
18/04/2026: Il Leoncino Rosso is a hidden gem in the heart of Mantua's historic center. This small but welcoming restaurant perfectly embodies the soul of traditional Mantuan cuisine. The intimate, family-friendly atmosphere immediately captivates you, making you feel at home. The menu is a triumph of authentic flavors.

Trattoria da Claudio 1999

10/04/2026: I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant and was truly thrilled. The dishes were simply excellent: the risotto with artichokes and pecorino was creamy, perfectly balanced in flavor, and truly refined. The Fassona beef carpaccio was also of the highest quality, incredibly fresh, and prepared with great care. The attention to the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen are clearly evident. The service was impeccable: the staff were kind, helpful, and professional. A truly pleasant experience in every way. I will definitely return and highly recommend it!
07/04/2026: Unfortunately, I can only give 3 stars, and only for one reason: we tourists didn't know that Amaretto is added as a "spice" to the famous pumpkin pastries. It wasn't mentioned on the menu, nor was it pointed out when we ordered. The children didn't want to eat it, and some of the adults didn't either. The quality was certainly excellent, but I'm disappointed that it wasn't made clear that this gives the filling a very distinctive, sweet flavor. It's simply not for everyone. 04/04/26
