Enjoy a family-style welcome from the friendly and affable owner Pippo and his young, expert staff. Spectacular views of the valley await you, as you savor flavorful dishes and time-honored recipes, such as appetizers with cured meats, vegetable pies, and other delicacies. Hand-crafted first courses include ravioli with ragù and pansoti with walnut sauce, followed by tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, lasagnette, or trofie with pesto. For main courses, the house specialty is a rich Italian-style fritto misto, enough to feed two. Meat lovers will appreciate Piedmontese Fassona tartare, roast beef with herbs, veal with tuna sauce, Ligurian-style rabbit with olives, battered cod with panissette, fried focaccia filled with cheese, fried porcini mushrooms, and more. Classic desserts like tiramisu, grandma's pudding with chocolate sauce, panna cotta, and a classic tart with homemade fruit compote. 10/11/2025: I'm talking about the restaurant only. The food is truly excellent. Traditional Ligurian dishes, cooked with skill and expertise. It's hard to ask for more. The prices are more than reasonable. From the welcome to the table service, everything was excellent. Truly talented, and congratulations to all the staff. P.S. The cheeses served on black slate have nothing to do with the class and atmosphere of the place. Definitely worth a try.

22/02/2026: I was in Sestri Levante last night with some Genoese friends at this typical trattoria, and I must say the dishes are typical, too. The atmosphere is simple, as I think a trattoria should be. Family-run, everyone is friendly and willing to offer advice on the dishes. The fried anchovies and seafood salad were excellent, and for the main course, a stockfish with potatoes, which pleasantly surprised me. I also tried the boiled stockfish, and I have to say I couldn't decide which was better. And to finish, an excellent pear and chocolate cake, and, of course, a bitter. Osteria da Sergio is definitely worth a visit. I can't comment on the bill because I was a guest, but I understand it was excellent value for money.

29/11/2025: A delightful place surrounded by olive groves. Unrivaled food: fresh herbs, exquisite ingredients, meticulously prepared, beautiful dishes. The #1 appetizers, starting with the frisciöi (small pieces of onion fried together like tempura), the oozing blue cheese flan, the vegetables stuffed with vegetables, ricotta, and meat (I'd say no to peppers). Gnocchi with rabbit!! Unparalleled stroscia with cold zabaglione. The nocino is a must, and the black bread is superb. Elvira is always great, Paolo is very kind. Fabulous wines, the Rossese (in glasses, like all the others) is a real hit.

20/10/2025: We ate and drank well, and the service was professional and friendly. Panels will soon be installed to reduce noise, and then it will be 5 stars.

09/02/2026: Refined atmosphere, attentive and kind service, excellent food... we met Mrs. Caterina, a woman of admirable charm and charisma.

02/01/2026: They seated us but didn't let us order. We managed to get some water, which they then charged us for upon leaving (€3). We received no apology for the poor service.

03/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve here. The food was excellent. The dessert was okay. The seating was much too close together for my taste. It could have been decorated more appropriately for the occasion. At midnight, they were eagerly waiting for us to pay and leave. A shame. But all in all, it was a lovely evening.

02/01/2026: Everything was fine and normally I don’t leave reviews because I consider them pointless. I work in the service industry myself and I know how often reviews are unfair or unfounded. However, this time my wife suffered from food poisoning and was vomiting all night and still feels terrible. During the day we shared one pizza, but in the evening we ate at this restaurant. We shared one appetizer, I ate pasta and feel completely fine, while my wife ate the dorado (white fish). This is the only dish she ate that I did not taste. At the moment she is clearly suffering from food poisoning. We did not drink wine or any other alcoholic beverages that evening, so the fish seems to be the cause.

28/12/2025: Low rating, even though the food was really good, because I had the distinct feeling that I was charged 17 euros for a bottle of wine that cost 10 euros... And not by mistake.... I'll be back to check it out. Two for the service because the waiter, or whoever he was, could have even half-smiled. Two for the atmosphere because the tables are right next to each other.

28/10/2025: Excellent trattoria, with a limited menu, but all excellent. The pesto is delicious, unlike any other restaurant, along with other traditional Ligurian dishes. Friendly service, the place is always clean and tidy. The only drawback is the parking, but we're in Genoa, and that's standard practice. If you're in the area, give it a try: it's worth it.

His passion for what he does is evident every time, both in the dishes on his menu and in his suggestions for pairing them with wine, of which he has, again, an in-depth knowledge... not to mention the cheeses, which deserve a thousand more accolades!

05/02/2026: Typical Genoese cuisine, from panissa to focaccia, from batolli to chestnut lasagna, not to mention the superb rabbit and unforgettable wild boar. Super fair prices. We'll definitely be back.

03/02/2026: It's not a bad place, the food is decent, with generous portions, but I didn't like everything, and others at the table weren't satisfied either (overcooked pasta, not enough salt, too much salt, pesto, but good ragù, good meatballs, etc.). I've been there twice already, and honestly, I wouldn't go back or recommend it. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it in the winter; it's cold in the dining room, and despite the fireplace and heaters, you might end up eating in your coat. Everyone complained about it, not just our table.
