Camping Acqua Dolce In Levanto

Campsite in the town center. Excellent on-site restaurant.

We spent four nights here. A very nice campsite in an exceptional location with very friendly and helpful staff. Just a few steps from the town center. The train station is also within easy walking distance, so we could always leave our car parked. Levanto itself is very pretty. One star deducted for the sanitary facilities. The toilets smelled of urine, and the dishwashing sinks were cramped and impractical. But we will definitely come back here when we are in the area again. The exit from the public parking lot is a bit adventurous for large vehicles.

The campsite initially impresses with its excellent location: its immediate proximity to the beach, good shopping facilities, and easy access to the Cinque Terre region make it an attractive base for vacationers. The site itself also has a certain charm with its rustic character. However, closer inspection reveals significant weaknesses. The pitches are very narrow and the terrain is quite uneven. Levelling blocks are essential, yet achieving a level pitch is often nearly impossible. This may be due to the geographical location, but it poses a considerable problem, especially for families with small children. The sanitary facilities are particularly problematic. Hot water is practically non-existent in the showers – the water temperature is only lukewarm to cold. This is hardly acceptable, especially with small children. Furthermore, the on/off function for the flushing system is impractical and inefficient, dispensing very little water. While water conservation is generally a good idea, it should be implemented in a practical and user-friendly way. Overall, the place leaves a mixed impression: an excellent scenic location is offset by infrastructural deficiencies that are particularly significant for families.

Many small details complete the experience. A well-maintained site with charm and a certain something. Not suitable for large campers, as it's quite winding. Beach and old town are in the immediate vicinity. Great place.

The cat was rude to the dog, the car battery was also dead when we left, but driving downhill in second gear was great.

A relatively quiet campsite, suitable for larger motorhomes in the front area. Elsewhere, many smaller campers are parked on the hillside. A lovely atmosphere under the trees. The sanitary facilities are clean even during peak seasons like Easter. Showers and dogs are included in the price; cash payments receive a 10% discount, especially for longer stays. The access road is partly very steep and winding, about 10 km before Levanto. The train station and the sea are easily accessible on foot.

Great campsite, it has everything you need for camping. Perfect if you want to visit the Cinque Terre... we've been here twice with our kids. It's about a 5-minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes to the train station. There's also a small supermarket within a 5-minute walk.

We stayed there for two nights. The campsite is beautifully situated, wonderfully laid out, with so many lovely paths leading uphill; it has a lot of charm. However, we found the site quite expensive; €6 per night for electricity is extremely high. The laundry facilities were adequate, and it was helpful that each toilet had a tap/hose, allowing you to clean up any mess left behind by others. However, the showers could definitely use more storage space. The campsite offers a good base for visiting Levanto, taking the train to the Cinque Terre, or cycling. It was always quiet at night, and the staff were courteous.
