14/11/2025: Excellent experience. Quiet and clean location. Excellent cod first and second courses. Various cod-based specialties. The lady who served us, I believe the owner, was very kind and courteous.

15/03/2026: Today we decided to take a leisurely day exploring Lauro and its surrounding area and monuments. A leisurely stroll led us to the "La Magnolia" restaurant, which we were somewhat hesitant to try, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and plentiful, and we enjoyed a pleasant lunch, occasionally relaxing in the garden. The price was also excellent. We will definitely return next time. Giovanni Cacciola

22/01/2026: Excellent pizza restaurant with truly excellent value. I've had lunch and dinner here several times and have always enjoyed it, but in recent days I've appreciated it even more. I tried the pizza and celebrated my father's 60th birthday with dinner: both experiences were more than satisfying. The pizzas are well-topped, with quality ingredients and a light dough. The Magnolia pizza in particular, as I already told the owner, is truly delicious! The location is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff is competent and courteous. Special thanks go to Sofia, the waitress who served us: professional, kind, and always smiling, attentive to every detail and capable of providing truly impeccable service. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

10/12/2025: We went to this place after reading good reviews, but for us it was a truly awful and expensive experience. Now I'll explain why. Four of us went. The owner greeted us and said, "I'll do it." When they say that, you're in for a rip-off. He said, "Let's start with the appetizers." For four people, he brought appetizers for two, and, for example, I had to share a slice of prosciutto with my wife and my friend with his. The same goes for the other appetizers. We were on an empty stomach. We ordered macaroni with guanciale and a tagliata. The macaroni, like the appetizers, was to be shared between four, and the tagliata was truly awful: no porcini mushrooms, just a few shavings of parmesan and some wilted arugula. But it doesn't end there. Usually after a meal, people ask for an amaro. And what does the owner do? Guess what? He brings two small glasses of amaro to share between four of us. Outrageous. But the icing on the cake was the bill. For not having eaten, we paid not for two people since we split everything, but for four. Total: €120. The food and the price were truly awful. In the end, reviews are worthless. Bye.

30/01/2026: I must give heartfelt compliments to the bar manager and his sons for the welcome, the excellent coffee, food, etc. I went with a large group of hikers, and after a tough hike to the nearby mountain... All of us (about 40) entered like a raid... the owner was welcoming and kind. We will return 👍🏼

29/11/2025: Excellent Sunday lunch! My girlfriend's gricia was simply delicious, with al dente pasta and crispy guanciale. My lasagna was creamy and flavorful, and the fillet steak, cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth. The broccoli rabe and artichoke sides were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The house red wine paired perfectly with each course. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service attentive. Unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended!

The ingredients and the way they're displayed are admirable: you eat very well in this restaurant, and you feel very welcome. The staff are professional, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and every dish is an experience. It's a place I love and I highly recommend it.

19/01/2026: A typical restaurant in the Montorese area, the building is rooted in the 1980s and 1990s and is a must-see, making it unique, authentic, and charming. The staff are truly friendly and helpful.

21/02/2026: Montevergine Abbey—the starting point of the William Way—can be reached from Mercogliano in just 7 minutes via the historic funicular (location). Mercogliano can be reached from Naples Central Station or Naples Capodichino Airport by AirCampania buses (approximately every 20 minutes): get off at the 'Torrette di Mercogliano' stop (location). Mercogliano is also connected to the Air bus station in Avellino by urban buses. The provincial capital, Avellino, is connected to the towns along the Way (first 7 stages) by AirCampania and buses operated by other companies that terminate at the new bus station (location).

08/12/2025: Please note: the funicular and the road to the sanctuary are blocked! Yesterday, December 7, 2025, everything was closed due to a landslide that happened a few days ago! What a disappointment, arriving in Mercogliano. We had to stay in the village, as it was not possible to go up to the Sanctuary of the Blessed!
