04/07/2025: I ate a crazy menu for €10 for a fried appetizer and a pizza + a beer for 3. Everything was good. Very nice and fresh environment. Kind and helpful staff. We will definitely be back again

14/08/2025: I am extremely disappointed. My fiancé and I booked a 21:45 reservation online. The restaurant is difficult to find, and we got lost on the way (something I imagine is common) arriving at 22:05. Upon arrival, the host asked to see the confirmation email and informed us that the kitchen had closed at 22:00. He suggested we dine at their “snack bar” instead. We asked what would happen if we had booked for 22:00, since that was also an option on their website. He appeared uncomfortable and explained that for 22:00 bookings there is no tolerance for lateness. When I asked where this policy was stated, he admitted it was not clearly communicated and said they would try to make it clearer online. We obviously left, yet were still charged €200 for a “no show.” Our impression was that they were not expecting us and, instead of being transparent, chose to place the blame on us.

28/07/2025: It was a very enjoyable experience, I don’t understand why everyone is whining in the comments but I would like to come here again for sure. Salvatore was very nice person and he always kept us in track in the dinner. Also the lady on the front desk was kind enough to help us out with the transportation problems that we were having. I would recommend if you’re visiting Amalfi soon…

03/08/2025: The staff was friendly, but in my opinion they weren't very careful about providing accurate information about orders. Prices weren't listed on the paper menu. Virtually no one at my table appreciated the famous "pochette." Value for money: terrible. The dishes were light on fish and heavy on rice. The appetizers were good, but not exceptionally good considering the price. I don't think I'll be back.

12/06/2025: Servizio scadente,eravamo due adulti e una bambina di 6 anni.Per la bambina abbiamo ordinato una cotoletta con le patatine fritte che è arrivata dopo più di un ora,addirittura dopo aver servito i nostri antipasti e dopo che abbiamo avuto il tempo di consumarli.Per finire in bellezza non potevano servire il caffè, perché a detta del cameriere la macchina era guasta da qualche giorno ed erano im attesa della riparazione.

03/06/2025: Questa sera sono andata a mangiare da Fresco con 3 amici. Premetto che sono celiaca ed avevamo scelto il posto proprio in virtù di ciò ed anche perchè altre volte ero andata a mangiare lì quindi conoscevo il prodotto. Stasera ho ordinato la mia pizza senza glutine e il cameriere, come sempre molto corretto, mi informa che poteva esserci rischio di contaminazione ecc. Decido lo stesso di prenderla. Arrivano al tavolo le prime due pizze, tra cui la mia che appena arrivata, subito capisco che non era senza glutine. Ormai celiaca da 12 anni, riesco a capire subito quando un prodotto è senza glutine o quando no. In più, conosco la loro pizza gluten free e quella arrivatami, non aveva né spessore, né le caratteristiche della loro pizza senza glutine. Lo faccio presente al cameriere che porta via la pizza e ritorna successivamente a dare due fette di questa a due miei amici. E figuriamoci, sono stata contenta che abbia dato due tranci ai miei amici, ma il danno l’ho avuto io in quanto celiaca. Sono rimasta venti minuti ad aspettare poi la mia pizza che non era neanche buona come le altre volte, nel mentre i miei amici mangiavano i loro piatti. Alla fine, con il conto, mi aspettavo che avrebbero avuto un minimo di accortezza per lo sbaglio commesso. Invece no, ho pagato la mia pizza, mangiato una pizza che non mi ha soddisfatto, e per di più, si sono scusati per quanto accaduto solo dopo che io gli ho sottolineato che lo sbaglio commesso era stato estremamente grave. E ripeto, grazie per i due tranci dati ai miei amici ma nel frattempo sono rimasta io, celiaca, senza pizza e dovendo aspettare altro tempo prima di poter mangiare qualcosa.

21/07/2025: Questo locale è situato nella parte alta di Sant'Egidio Montalbino, per arrivarci c'è una stradina molto stretta, per il clima aria fresca e la brezza nelle giornate di afa torrida merita anche 5 stelle. Veniamo a noi avrei dato volentieri di più ma bisogna essere oggettivi, il locale è fornito di spazi esterni, sono terrazzamenti, una parte sotto il limoneto. Se si ha la fortuna di arrivare presto a cena altrimenti l'attesa è biblica, a mio avviso il personale è poco, credo che nella vita facciano altro e nel fine settimana arrotondano (mi riferisco ai camerieri). Noi abbiamo preso dei fritti e la pizza, i fritti erano ricchi d'olio...... serviti a centrotavola simili a un minestrone, la pizza arrivata dopo una lunga attesa, per correttezza bisogna dire che si tratta di sabato sera. I commensali a tavola nel parlare della pizza, hanno affermato che le pizze non erano male, ma dovrebbero essere un po' piu ricche d'ingredienti, e soprattutto più di qualità. Per il prezzo mediamente per una pizza, una bevanda, e un po' di di fritti come antipasto, è di circa 15/20 euro a testa. In conclusione se non si hanno troppe pretese, e si cerca un posto tranquillo, un una brezza che vi accompagna durante la cena, con lunghe attese, questo è il posto giusto.

13/06/2025: Rustique and genuine. The staff is friendly, but service is unorganized, slow and inconsistent. The pizzas are ok, but the rest of the food isn't very good. We went to the place three times, as it was the closest restaurant available, and tried a handful of different dishes, but they were all a disappointment. The view is fantastic, though.

02/07/2025: Pizza di fronte al tempio di Hera: esperienza irripetibile, direi divina. Grande accoglienza e cordialità, tipicamente della gente del sud. Una ospitalità antica che viene dalla Magna Grecia, terra benedetta da Hera e dai prodotti di un luogo mitico.

21/07/2025: Terrible stay... it's a terrible place and isn't even worth two stars. The owners are polite and kind, but they don't give a damn about their guests. The place is popular and therefore makes enough money to make those awful rooms "livable." More than anything, I think I'll file a complaint with the local health authority because, in my opinion, at least the room I stayed in was uninhabitable. The tiles were falling off the wall (I'll attach a photo). The shower doesn't have a shower tray, so the entire bathroom flooded, creating puddles that even swelled the bathroom door (I'll attach a photo). The room is 10 meters long and you can't move... the bed has a 19th-century frame, and two nights in it, it ruined my back, and on top of that, the owner even has the nerve to charge €100 a night for the rooms. There's no air conditioning, and they provided us with a dusty fake fan that barely moved a leaf. Besides, the "guesthouse" is in a strategic location, and the bar and restaurant are the only acceptable features. I will definitely never return. The photos on Booking.com don't reflect reality at all!

13/07/2025: A basic guesthouse, but with a warm welcome and excellent food. Excellent location. We returned after a few years to enjoy the dishes prepared by Mr. Biagio and the clear sea of Palinuro.
