A homely feeling There are restaurants that are close to your heart, places you've been frequenting since childhood, filled with memories. When a restaurant makes you return more than once, or, as in my case, for multiple generations, it means they're special places. A homely feeling, a breathtaking view of the green Irpinia countryside, and authentic food. You can't ask for more than that. Rating - 10

I went on Candlemas Day. Everything was authentic, with fresh and flavorful cured meats, even the first and second courses. I had the lamb (very tender and flavorful). For dessert, I recommend the ricotta and pear. It was delicious because it was served hot. The owners, both father and son, were helpful and friendly. The prices were reasonable. They could add something extra to the basic set menu if they wanted. I recommend it.

I went during the week, almost alone at the tables, everything was good and the service was fast. The view from the room we were in was fabulous; it has several rooms, but the atmosphere was a bit retro.

A typical Irpinia trattoria, scialatielli alla boscaiola, smoked scamorza and porcini mushrooms in a pan, green salad, and fries (served without us ordering them), Aglianico Irpino (the house wine), and Amaro del Capo (the latter was offered to us at checkout—I believe it was the owner, a kind lady, probably to compensate for the extra liqueur we hadn't ordered). The waiter was very friendly. The ambiance is simple, and the view of the Avellino valley is beautiful, especially in the summer.

Excellent cuisine and friendly staff. Don't expect a sophisticated atmosphere, on the contrary, but it's rustic, authentic, and very welcoming. The view of the valley is beautiful, and the price is fair.
