27/07/2025: Excellent food, great location, the two sisters (waitresses) are wonderful, and practically tireless... to be admired... but!!! THEY NEED A LITTLE HELP from the girls, because since they're the only two serving the tables it takes a little longer between one course and the next, but otherwise everything is exceptional... I'll be back to try other house specialties 🔝🔝
24/06/2025: Usual appetizer of cold cuts and grilled vegetables, cheese that seemed old from the color. Only tasted the house wine, it was vinegar! We ordered four grills (my husband asked if we could use sausage instead of lamb).
For me lamb, which arrived miserable and charred with inedible chips because they were full of salt! A pappardelle with porcini mushrooms that was floating in cream! To drink water and to finish a digestive. Now read everything again, or rather add five desserts because the previous time we had also taken those and paid much less and listen listen we paid this time a good €26 more than last time!!! I take the stairs and return to the cashier to get an explanation and the owner insists and says that the bill is correct, because the meat included in the grill, which my husband did not consume, was still added to the bill! Then I advise you not to continue doing this job and customers to go elsewhere! Not only did we eat disgustingly, pay more and not drink but they cashed in on us for the empty tables. Dishonest and crafty, change jobs!!!

25/04/2025: Non posso fare una recensione sul cibo perché non ho potuto assaggiarlo. Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per cena, arrivati all'orario previsto, abbiamo trovato il locale strapieno, ci siamo rivolti ad un cameriere che in evidente imbarazzo ci ha indirizzati al gestore, il quale in modo molto sbrigativo ci ha chiesto di aspettare che ci avrebbe dato il tavolo appena se ne fosse liberato uno... ?? Ma che modi sono? Se pensi di non poter assicurare un tavolo non accetti prenotazioni. Se il cliente pensa di avere un tavolo riservato è evidente che non deve poi trovarsi fuori dal locale in piedi ad aspettare, altrimenti che senso ha prenotare? Nessun rispetto per il cliente
Siamo andati a mangiare nel locale vicino, abbiamo mangiato bene e siamo stati serviti subito

19/07/2025: Definitely an experience not to be repeated at "Isola Blu Piscine."
Before arriving, I contacted the facility and was informed of the costs and that meals were not available by the pool, only small snacks, as there was a cafeteria service on site.
I intended to spend a lovely day by the pool, but this adventure turned into a nightmare due to the suffocating presence of flies. Unimaginable filth.
The facility was dirty, the staff was inattentive and arrogant. Swimming caps were practically nonexistent. We, who wore them, felt like aliens.
Speaking of meals, there were literally tables by the pool. People had even brought baked pasta from home, and no warnings were issued by the staff.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against this facility to friends and enemies alike.
I would rename the facility "The Island of Flies."
19/07/2025: Unfortunately, nothing positive...where to start...entrance 12 euros per person, umbrella with two bar chairs, a pool for adults just right.....but....EVERYONE WITHOUT A CAP!!!!!!! Diving everywhere, I didn't understand who the lifeguard was because he didn't have an identification shirt...then full of FLIES, flies everywhere even far from food..I'm sorry but....NEVER AGAIN!!!

We went with friends and had a fantastic time.
The dishes were tasty, and the first course, Nerano-style, was delicious.
Enrico made the difference in the dining room, extremely kind and professional,
he was able to accommodate our every request. We will definitely be back.

But I don't know about the potatoes and sausage half because we also found a layer of raw ham because it's an old recycled pizza, there's an old pizza underneath and they put mozzarella and sausage on top. Absolute disgust, I will never go there again, 18 euros wasted. You think we're stupid

13/04/2025: Eravamo in quattro e abbiamo mangiato le pizze, sui prodotti nulla da dire ma per il resto c’è poco da salvare. Accoglienza e servizio da bettola da due soldi, camerieri maleducati e cafoni; nonostante avessimo prenotato al mattino ci hanno fatto accomodare vicino al cesso!
Da evitare almeno che non siete fatti della stessa pasta di chi vi accoglie!
29/03/2025: Recomendado por nuestro gerente de hotel en Il San Cristoforo, este es un lugar muy agradable para comer, lleno de lugareños, es luminoso, animado y con un personal amable y atento.
La comida, ya sea de la amplia gama de pizzas o pasta fresca / mariscos, es sabrosa y buena relación calidad-precio, el vino por copa limitado a un tipo de blanco, tinto y rosa solo, aunque no es una ruptura del trato!
Dolce excelente y parecía hecho en casa.
En general, una recomendación satisfactoria y bien vale la pena buscar - ¡vaya ahora!

We stayed at this property trusting the 4 stars declared and the images on Google and Booking, which turned out to be clearly misleading. The reality is profoundly different from what was advertised: it is an old, neglected property, with rooms that are more reminiscent of a nightclub than a hotel, and a style totally incompatible with the quality and hygiene standards expected for a hospitality facility of this category.
At the time of booking, we were told that only a "suite with hot tubs" was available. Later, reading the reviews of other guests, we discovered that this is a systematic practice, used to induce customers to accept non-transparent conditions, thus configuring deceptive commercial conduct.
We arrived at the property around midnight, with a newborn in tow. Despite having called the hotel 15 minutes before to confirm our arrival, we were given an attic room with an internal temperature above 45°C. The baby, a few months old, immediately showed clear signs of discomfort and sickness. The room, lacking adequate thermal insulation, was moldy, damp and had seriously poor hygiene conditions. Access was only via very hot stairs, totally unsuitable for those traveling with children or the elderly. The temperature makes climbing up difficult.
When we asked for an explanation, the staff stated that - following complaints from other guests who had found the rooms "too cold" - they had chosen not to turn on the air conditioning before the guests' arrival. An unacceptable, illogical and irresponsible justification from a safety and health perspective, especially considering the presence of a newborn.
It should be emphasized that the aforementioned gentleman was well accommodated at the reception, in a very cool environment. I showed up with my daughter in my arms in a sea of sweat and visibly tired by the temperature.
Only after repeated insistence were we moved to another room, which was still unsuitable: cracks in the walls, a shower in full view in the room, a clogged sink. Conditions that in no way reflect the definition of a “suite” or what was declared at the time of booking.
We tried several times to contact the owner, without ever receiving a response. Online reviews have shown that the gentleman present in the facility is used to providing contradictory, evasive or completely false answers, systematically avoiding satisfying the legitimate requests of guests, with conduct bordering on legality.
Further aggravating elements:
• We were asked for €120 over the phone for the “suite”, the only available room with a hydromassage tub that had given us hope having decided at the last minute to stop, given the tiredness, unable to continue for 4 hours by car. We were not told the price of the second room.
• When my friend asked to retrieve some personal items left in the first room, she was initially told that it was not possible because new guests were expected. Shortly after, the staff contradicted themselves, telling her to leave the keys attached to the door, implicitly admitting that no other guests were expected.
• When we asked for a room with a balcony (for reasons related to smoking), we were told that there were no alternatives available, only to be transferred to a room with a view. This room, however, was located right next to a recycling company, with strong smog smells and under an overpass, in an area not suitable for families nor compatible with what was promised online.
• There was not even a mattress cover.
• The swimming pool visible in the advertising photos does not belong to the hotel, but to an adjacent bar, where the atmosphere is made inaccessible and noisy by loud music and chaotic attendance.
10/06/2025: What can I say? The Masaniello hotel is fantastic, the staff is competent and very kind. Having arrived from an unpleasant adventure, we were welcomed super well. I booked a suite. The staff, knowing my misadventure, made me find the room already with the air conditioning on. The room was perfect, spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

06/06/2025: I booked a room here at the refundable rate (you must pay in full up front), and spoke with Tania via e-mail. She was response, give a few days, and very helpful. However, a month later when I unfortunately needed to cancel the entire trip due to a personal situation, I received no response to multiple e-mails asking for the refund. It has been weeks with no response. Be aware that even though there is a refund policy, it seems they do not honor it.
18/05/2025: In the Boccacelio room, it was impossible to rest because of the noise of a motor that ran 24 hours a day (it was like sleeping next to a kitchen extractor fan). Contact with the hotel management was only via WhatsApp. They were very, very sorry but offered no solution or compensation.
