Simple yet authentic cuisine; the freshest fish, always caught by the owner—the octopus with potatoes is a must-try: it melts in your mouth! The view is breathtaking, overlooking the sea, with the colors of the sunset making it all the more evocative. The staff is incredibly kind: Caterina is always available and attentive. Thank you for everything! We hope to return!

28/11/2025: No idea. Showed up at opening time on 28 Nov and they were locked up. Website and Instagram said nothing about seasonal closings, Google profile said they should be open. Nothing. Menu had been removed from display. Assume closed for season, but some signage or notification would be grand. Maybe update your own website, Google, Instagram or Facebook notification? Asinine lack of communication from a high rated establishment. Unfortumatly this is not the only instance of this, just the one that was directly impacting my family having a meal. Please communicate better.

29/11/2025: I visited La Pignata and was truly impressed. The restaurant is welcoming, well-maintained, and has an authentic atmosphere reminiscent of Calabrian tradition. The dishes are generous, beautifully presented, and prepared with fresh ingredients. I particularly appreciated the quality of the meat and the intense flavors of the traditional dishes, cooked according to tradition. The service is friendly and fast, and the prices are fair for the quality offered. This place is definitely worth a visit if you want to eat well and rediscover the authentic flavors of the area. Highly recommended!

As soon as you enter, you immediately sense a warm and welcoming atmosphere: a well-kept, family-friendly place brimming with that authentic Calabrian soul that makes you feel almost at home. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxing, perfect for enjoying a leisurely dinner. The cuisine is the restaurant's true strength. The dishes are prepared with traditional Calabrian ingredients, rich in flavor and beautifully presented. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the respect for local recipes. Each course exudes authenticity and passion for local cuisine. Another very positive aspect is the quality-price ratio: generous portions, authentic dishes, and truly excellent prices. In short, a restaurant I absolutely recommend to anyone who wants to discover or rediscover the true flavors of Calabria in a welcoming environment. I will definitely be back!

26/03/2026: Let me preface this by saying that I've known Bruno and Fortunato all my life.....whether alone or with friends, I've always felt at home in what I call "my haven of taste." The Schinella brothers are a guarantee, always striving to provide the best possible service to their customers. I've read some complaints, but those who strive to do and give the best may not be able to satisfy everyone's palates, especially since, with all this TV these days, we all feel like food critics. Getting back to the point, I would definitely recommend the place. The wine and spirits list is truly unique, with fantastic labels for those who understand and know wine. The pizza is excellent, with excellent leavening. Any softness in the center isn't a cooking issue at all, but rather an abundance of ingredients. In any case, the Neapolitan-style pizza is soft in the center: "rusks are not pizza." The meats are top-quality and the first courses are delicious and tasty. A big hug to the Schinella brothers for their dedication to the wonderful memories of those cutlets their mother used to prepare, which Fortunato was always forced to share with me, all washed down with a good glass of red wine and lots of laughter.

20/10/2025: We came for lunch, and I must say the girl who served us was very kind and friendly, as well as giving great advice. You absolutely have to try the first course: spaghetti with clams and pesto! Truly delicious!! 😍 Or the authentic Roman carbonara! ❤️
