29/04/2026: We were delighted! The service was very friendly, and the dishes they serve are delicious and traditional. I especially recommend the platter of local produce, grilled fish, and pasta. Finally, we ordered canolo and tiramisu, and I can honestly say it was a real treat. Although it's difficult to get there without a car, we'll gladly return to this place in the future. Perfect!

My husband is still raving about how wonderful the Strangozzi al profumo di mare (fresh spaghetti with mixed seafood) was - incredibly fresh pasta and a great range of seafood in a delicious sauce. Large portions and served with bread (in a paper bag). I had the linguine with prawns and pistachio which was tasty. Local wine was easy drinking.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended if you want an authentic, high-quality dining experience away from the tourist traps. Grazie mille per il fantastico servizio 🙏👌👏

15/04/2026: A restorative dinner after the stop on the parks' bike path. The pappardelle with wild boar was excellent, and the fennel and radicchio salad was also good. The recommended Amaro liqueur was delicious! Highly recommended!

05/05/2026: You definitely shouldn't miss this place when visiting Tropea! They make fantastic fried seafood served in a paper cone. The staff is very kind and helpful; even though I arrived quite late and they didn't have much left, they still prepared an amazing meal for me. There is an outdoor bar right next door and it’s located on the Cathedral square, so the atmosphere is exactly what you’d imagine. Superb

15/05/2026: A great restaurant in Tropea Old Town, especially known for their steaks. I had the Grilled Tournedos from Beef with truffle and sides, amazing! Nice atmosphere in an alley and perfect service. We really recommend a visit.

27/03/2026: An excellent stay, far exceeding expectations. The rooms were renovated, clean, and, given the cold weather of March 2026, very warm. The staff was friendly, but especially the breakfast. A wide variety of cakes, all different and very fresh, with special attention to gluten-free and lactose-free options. And the coffee, not the usual ground coffee, but pods and a coffee machine.

06/12/2025: The day before yesterday, I celebrated my graduation at the Acquarium restaurant in Naples, and it was a wonderful experience. We ate wonderfully: high-quality dishes, perfectly cooked and impeccably presented by the young man who served us. Both the chef Giorgio and the waiter were delightful, professional, and extremely kind. The waiter, in particular, stood out for the care with which he presented each dish, as well as for his truly rare courtesy and politeness. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a wonderful culinary experience accompanied by impeccable service.

The fish is so fresh, the food is so spectacular I can barely describe it! I absolutely loved it and it's really worth it, especially for the price. The people where really nice as well, letting us eat with them even after closing time! You really do feel home here. I promise you: you will not regret coming here! 28/11/2025: No idea. Showed up at opening time on 28 Nov and they were locked up. Website and Instagram said nothing about seasonal closings, Google profile said they should be open. Nothing. Menu had been removed from display. Assume closed for season, but some signage or notification would be grand. Maybe update your own website, Google, Instagram or Facebook notification? Asinine lack of communication from a high rated establishment. Unfortumatly this is not the only instance of this, just the one that was directly impacting my family having a meal. Please communicate better.
