08/01/2024: We were greeted and seated very quickly, and the service was super friendly. The menu was brilliant with more than just one or two options for me as a vegetarian, which I greatly appreciated. Unfortunately our order somehow got lost so the wait was longer than we had liked, but it was all rectified with some limoncello! Apart from that mistake I cannot fault this place, delicious food across all three courses.

13/10/2023: Abbiamo cenato questa sera in questo localino di Tropea, un po’ per caso, un po’ alla ricerca di qualche esperienza culinaria tipicamente calabrese e devo dire che siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti: Location: all’interno di una piazzetta di fronte a un santuario, molto suggestivo, in fondo si scorge un belvedere dal quale si vede il mare e il porto Pietanze: un piatto di ravioli con le melanzane e cacio, uno stracotto al vino rosso di porzioni di patate, una con cacio, un’altra con cipolle marinate. Tutto molto buono ma una menzione di merito va attribuita allo stracotto, stratosferico! Personale: gentile e cordiale, la ragazza con i capelli ricci molto cordiale e piacevole, il ragazzo che ci ha consigliato da bere ha azzeccato un abbinamento con la birra, stravagante per uno stracotto, ma incredibile Conto: equilibrato, il giusto. Conclusione: Senza ombra di dubbio un posto che merita, siamo felici di averlo scelto, ve lo consiglio!

01/04/2024: First time, it saved us on an alternative Easter Monday when we didn't know where to go for lunch. Abundant fixed menu and first choice cheeses. I would happily return to try the pizza. What certainly leaves a good memory is the kindness and friendliness of the staff, who made us feel at home and super pampered! P.s. Table in the corner near the decorated windows super recommended!

18/11/2023: Our first few days were spent in Pizzo, one of them being a travel day with late arrival for any beach time so to kick off our beach adventure we picked Lido Regina Del Mare as our best bet. We visited Regina on the back side of Summer so we knew most places have either shut down or are in process which this lido was doing when we arrived at 10:30 and thought maybe they were closed for the season already. The owner Mimmo set us up with chairs, an umbrella and friendly introductions as well as some discussions about what we may like for lunch and I mentioned loving mussels and my wife loves a good Vongole (almost once a day if she can get away with it) and off he went. We tried out a mezzo or two of local rose wine while taking in the views of Pizzo in the distance we had the beach to ourselves for least for a few hours until others came after lunch. The beaches in Calabria are some of the most beautiful in the world and crystal clear due to most beaches being rocks of vary size from match head size pebbles to golf ball with very little sand to murk up the water so bring good water shoes. Laura is Mimmo's wife she is also the chef and runs a tight ship she cooked two of the best pastas we had of the trip a red mussel for me and vongole for the wife we returned plates that could have been put back on the shelf. Very attentive service with great food set in a scenic uncrowded beach just a short way from Pizzo should make this place at the top of your beach needs in this area. It is a true family affair and we felt very well looked after I also got to play with their German Shepard Aria for a bit whenever I made a trip to the bar which was an added bonus.

09/11/2023: Excellent artisanal and organic truffle prepared on the spot by the owners, who are very willing to accommodate customers' tastes and requests. 2/3 people physically enter the restaurant, but only to order. This takes second place once you try the truffle.

09/09/2023: Passing through Pizzo, we spotted this ice cream shop where we randomly decided to stop. In hindsight, I can say that never was a more appropriate choice! We were greeted by the owner, with whom we also chatted for a bit, who was super-super nice. We opted for a classic truffle, although the flavors vary and we were delighted! Quality ingredients at an excellent price (€5). If you find yourself passing through Pizzo, stop here!

03/04/2024: We were desperately looking for a place to eat, and we arrived at this tavern (which by the way was the only one open). The location is not at the top because it is in a fairly narrow alley but the tables match the environment and the music creates a relaxing atmosphere. The food is excellent: fresh and tasty fish, local meat cooked very well and creative but elegant plating. Friendly staff and fast service. Plus the kitchen is exposed and you can see how the dish is made.

19/03/2024: A small pub with very pleasant service. The portions are not too big, but the food is fresh and very tasty.

02/04/2024: Il posto è molto bello e ben curato e forse proprio per questo ti aspetteresti di più. Ci è dispiaciuto dover constatare che la cucina, al di là della buona presentazione dei piatti, non avesse carattere… il pesce era certamente congelato. Il personale poco professionale, insomma: si può, anzi si deve migliorare!

02/04/2024: Posto incantevole ,molto rilassante ben curato la titolare ci accoglie con tanta gentilezza ci fa sentire subito a nostro agio molto professionale. I piatti a base di pesce sono molto buoni ,una cucina curata che consiglio vivamente ottimo anche il vino Rosato Stragolia .

11/09/2023: We read the reviews and came to this establishment Before that, they checked on Google maps whether the facility was working, everything should have been fine We arrived, the establishment was really working, BUT since it was Monday (sorry, but people have a holiday on Monday too 🙃) the kitchen was not working at all They offered to order only drinks at the bar Disappointment Although the terrace is actually nice The restaurant is located in a very inconvenient place In order to get there, it must be really planned I think it's irresponsible in this day and age to give customers inaccurate information via Google Maps

08/02/2024: Nothing to say about the environment but terrible service and cuisine, cold dishes didn't worry at all about why the plates were returned with the food, that constant going up and down the stairs which diluted the dishes, food to someone first and to someone after, etc. …..improve but for yourselves we will never go back!!!
