25/07/2026: During our stay in Tropea, we dined at Scacco Matto, and the experience was truly excellent. The restaurant is very well-maintained and welcoming, with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly, professional, and always available, making us feel welcome throughout the evening. We started with a delicious mussel soup, rich and flavorful, accompanied by croutons. For our first courses, we chose calamarata and rigatoni with fresh tuna, Tropea onions, and cherry tomatoes: both generous, well-prepared, and made with quality ingredients. Also not to be missed is the tuna alla Tropeana, tender and rich in flavor. Generous portions, carefully prepared dishes, and authentic flavors of Calabrian seafood cuisine. A restaurant that convinced us in every way and that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to eat well in Tropea. Congratulations to the entire staff!

09/05/2026: Simply a fantastic experience! I stayed at this resort and I can say that everything was perfect from start to finish. The facility is meticulously maintained, elegant, clean, and truly relaxing. The spa was a wonderful experience: welcoming spaces, a tranquil atmosphere, and top-notch services. The restaurant and service were also excellent, with great customer service and truly high quality. But the real difference was the staff: kind, professional, always smiling, and available at all times. They made you feel pampered and important throughout your stay. It was an unforgettable stay, full of relaxation and well-being. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a special experience. My sincere compliments to the entire staff!

16/07/2026: After a year, I'm forced to update my review because the food isn't as good as it was a year ago! The rice isn't creamy, the baby octopus is practically in a broth, the pasta is completely disjointed, and the octopus is rubbery. It's a shame because we had a really great time last year.

13/07/2026: Staff were attentive, the swordfish caponata & the ravioli with red prawns were stand out dishes, highly recommended. We will return next time we visit Vibo. Nice outdoor area for cocktails.

10/05/2026: We finally ate some excellent fish and pasta, both beautifully cooked. The place is small but very nice.

16/07/2026: We ate here two years ago, and back then everything was excellent. At the time, this was undoubtedly a 5-star experience. Unfortunately, something seems to have changed in the meantime. In almost all the seasoned dishes, far too much salt was used, which completely overpowered the flavors. The biggest disappointment, however, was the swordfish with three tiny red prawns. For €25, we received a very small portion, whereas in the city center you often get double that for a significantly lower price. When we brought this up, we were told that ingredients have become more expensive these days. We understand that, of course, but the price-quality ratio simply didn't feel right to us. More expensive ingredients can explain a lot, but not such modest portions. It is a real shame, because two years ago this was a restaurant we would recommend without hesitation. Perhaps something has changed in the kitchen or the concept; I don't know. What I do know is that this was, unfortunately, the worst dining experience of our trip to Tropea. Very disappointing, especially since we had such positive memories of our previous visit.

03/05/2026: Disappointing, I ordered some savoury mignon for a buffet in the afternoon, I was advised three pieces per person, in reality these mignon were enormous, therefore aesthetically ugly and not very suitable for the afternoon, in fact of the 6 trays a tray and a half were consumed, no one dared to have dinner at 6pm, it's a shame 100.00 wasted and on top of that the disappointment

01/06/2026: Since 2022, we've been coming to Trope regularly, and Pinturicchio is a must-visit. You receive a warm Italian welcome; the locals seem to enjoy being guests, and the food is consistently good… our children have always been welcome and happy.

31/05/2026: Dinner for two, the most beautiful location we've seen in Tropea. Exceptional raw seafood and pasta. Impeccable staff, our compliments to Salvatore! An absolute must-see.

12/05/2026: I felt like I was in a great American steakhouse. The meat was delicious. I had the Tomahawk, and my girlfriend had the sliced beef with arugula and parmesan. We eat meat quite often, and this place is definitely now on our favorites list. Highly recommended!

29/04/2026: The atmosphere is elegant, reminiscent of a true Milanese "upscale," yet with a profoundly Italian flavor. Even the simplest dishes are surprising: the grilled vegetables and potatoes are truly excellent. The meat is the highlight: bold yet incredibly tender, almost buttery yet tender. And to finish, a tiramisu with a creamy, cloud-like texture. An experience that undoubtedly deserves 5 stars.

01/06/2026: For us, this is the best restaurant in Tropea. We completely understand the many positive reviews, but we simply don't understand the few negative ones. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone – whether you're looking for fish, meat, or an excellent, high-quality pizza. The value for money is outstanding. Despite the large number of customers, you're always served with warm Italian hospitality and friendliness. Every time we're in Tropea, we eat here at least twice, often even more often. A definite recommendation and an essential part of every Tropea vacation.

10/07/2026: Recommended to me by a Sicilian who lives in Pizzo, I have to say I was really pleased with everything. First of all, the dishes were very carefully prepared, well-cooked, and the portions were generous. I've been there several evenings for dinner, and the food and service have always been excellent. Centrally located, two minutes from the square, but on a quiet street where you can eat in a relaxed atmosphere!
