10/03/2024: An incredible place for the area. Well attended and with a lot of variety, a very large parking lot and the facilities are consistent with a good place. It is one of the few places in the area that is open on weekends after 12 midnight. It has a good income and can be easily reached by car. Highly recommended

03/04/2024: Fantastic experience. Incredibly friendly service and beautiful cooking. We loved the sea bass ravioli. The skin on the grouper was cooked to perfection, delightfully crispy. The ricotta was light and tasty! Would recommend.

19/03/2024: We had an excellent lunch at the San Domenico restaurant. The menu is extensive, there is even a choice for vegetarians. When selecting the dishes, the chef was available in the background to answer any questions or requests for changes, which we found very attentive. Overall, the whole service was very courteous and warm. The food was a wonderful taste experience: interesting combinations of spices and new interpretations of traditional dishes. The wine recommendation was perfect. Wonderful!

29/11/2023: When you come down from the north and pass through Pizzo it's a must to stop here... my favorite dish is the fileja all'nduja... but the other dishes are also top notch... the frying is really good 👍🏻 we will definitely be back in the summer 2024 😉

18/11/2023: Our first few days were spent in Pizzo, one of them being a travel day with late arrival for any beach time so to kick off our beach adventure we picked Lido Regina Del Mare as our best bet. We visited Regina on the back side of Summer so we knew most places have either shut down or are in process which this lido was doing when we arrived at 10:30 and thought maybe they were closed for the season already. The owner Mimmo set us up with chairs, an umbrella and friendly introductions as well as some discussions about what we may like for lunch and I mentioned loving mussels and my wife loves a good Vongole (almost once a day if she can get away with it) and off he went. We tried out a mezzo or two of local rose wine while taking in the views of Pizzo in the distance we had the beach to ourselves for least for a few hours until others came after lunch. The beaches in Calabria are some of the most beautiful in the world and crystal clear due to most beaches being rocks of vary size from match head size pebbles to golf ball with very little sand to murk up the water so bring good water shoes. Laura is Mimmo's wife she is also the chef and runs a tight ship she cooked two of the best pastas we had of the trip a red mussel for me and vongole for the wife we returned plates that could have been put back on the shelf. Very attentive service with great food set in a scenic uncrowded beach just a short way from Pizzo should make this place at the top of your beach needs in this area. It is a true family affair and we felt very well looked after I also got to play with their German Shepard Aria for a bit whenever I made a trip to the bar which was an added bonus.

02/04/2024: Posto incantevole ,molto rilassante ben curato la titolare ci accoglie con tanta gentilezza ci fa sentire subito a nostro agio molto professionale. I piatti a base di pesce sono molto buoni ,una cucina curata che consiglio vivamente ottimo anche il vino Rosato Stragolia .

02/04/2024: Il posto è molto bello e ben curato e forse proprio per questo ti aspetteresti di più. Ci è dispiaciuto dover constatare che la cucina, al di là della buona presentazione dei piatti, non avesse carattere… il pesce era certamente congelato. Il personale poco professionale, insomma: si può, anzi si deve migliorare!

09/11/2023: Excellent artisanal and organic truffle prepared on the spot by the owners, who are very willing to accommodate customers' tastes and requests. 2/3 people physically enter the restaurant, but only to order. This takes second place once you try the truffle.

09/09/2023: Passing through Pizzo, we spotted this ice cream shop where we randomly decided to stop. In hindsight, I can say that never was a more appropriate choice! We were greeted by the owner, with whom we also chatted for a bit, who was super-super nice. We opted for a classic truffle, although the flavors vary and we were delighted! Quality ingredients at an excellent price (€5). If you find yourself passing through Pizzo, stop here!

03/03/2024: For the first time I am writing a review without having dined in this place😕...that's right, after having booked a table for 2 well in advance, arriving on site even 10 minutes earlier than expected, we hear from the manager that our table had been moved😒🤔...the external gazebo, closed on the sides by windproof plasticized panels, was in fact full except for a small table set up for 4...I think therefore, they will place us there!!😌...instead... we see the waiter take a table outside the restaurant and bring it inside, not into the gazebo!, placing it between two other tables in the center of the passage in front of the service counter😦😖😤 just like a roundabout...a complete arrangement 'other than planned, better said "arranged" in a terrible way! So we decide to give up dinner and behind us also 2 other families who had been offered the same table!! I feel like giving some advice to the restaurateurs of the restaurant...welcoming towards customers (the so-called Service) must be one of the main elements for a restaurant, therefore invest with resources and adequate staff...let's make sure that this Earth grow in the true sense of the word...

03/03/2024: Stunning seafront location with outdoor tables, the interior is a bit sacrificed compared to the unrealistic number of seats provided. Discreet but not exceptional food and, without prejudice to the quality, even the quantity of the raw material, perhaps, suffers from the ambitions mentioned above, which is why a calarata with baby octopus can become a plate of pasta with fish-flavoured sauce with glutamate (and only a few traces of baby octopus). Slow, imprecise, approximate service despite the individual efforts and good will of the individual employees in reduced numbers compared to needs. . Average prices but quality-price ratio tending towards low. It is advisable to focus on quality rather than quantity (fewer covers - better service - better overall quality).

24/08/2023: The best ice cream on the Tyrrhenian coast. Refined quality, the Reggina cream, hazelnut and pistachio are of excellent value. Very reasonable prices, quiet location full of nice surprises, kind and helpful owners who will make you feel as if you were enjoying an ice cream with your family. Top!!!
