22/11/2025: Breakfast needs revisiting, offering guests more choices; there was no savory breakfast. The cappuccino was cold and unpleasant. The guy at the night reception was very kind and professional.

25/08/2025: There are a few outdoor tables for dining in, but despite the fair and the holiday, we managed to find a seat. The pizzas and arancini were truly excellent. We chose the place for the gluten-free pizza, which was truly delicious.

10/08/2025: Brazilian Aperitif: A Pleasant Discovery at "I Cornetti" I had the pleasure of trying the Brazilian aperitif at "I Cornetti" and was extremely satisfied. It was my first time with this type of aperitif, and the experience was excellent, thanks in part to the impeccable service. Much of the credit goes to the very kind and knowledgeable Sara, who guided us through our selection with professionalism and a smile. The aperitif was truly excellent and was a pleasant surprise, demonstrating the quality and originality of the establishment's offerings. To accompany the drink, we were served savory croissants filled with mozzarella and cooked ham, which stood out for their delicateness and freshness. A perfect, light pairing that made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend stopping by "I Cornetti" to try their specialties, and especially their exquisite Brazilian aperitif. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit a special experience.

16/10/2025: When we came in we were waiting at the entrance for five minutes but no one came to us, none of the personal. We even shouted to them, but probably because we weren’t talking Italian as we are tourists they just ignored us, and so we left. Either deaf or racist people there. Do not recommend this place.

30/10/2025: Swayed by the excellent reviews and Michelin-starred recommendations, we stopped for lunch. The food selection and quality are decidedly poor. Basic minestrone soup, supermarket-quality gnocchi, mediocre vegetable fritters and meatballs in tomato sauce, all served lukewarm, like a company cafeteria. Simplicity is fine, but the quality here is far below that of home cooking. It's a shame, because dinner is probably a different story entirely... the quality/price ratio is decidedly unbalanced.

08/11/2025: I've been coming here for my favorite pizza for 6 years, and I've never been disappointed. Each pizza is made with such care that you can taste it from the first bite. I've brought all my family and friends here to try it. You can tell there are people behind it who truly love what they do. It's not just a place where you eat well, it's a place that exudes warmth, consistency, and respect for the customer. Thanks to those who work there, because maintaining this quality for so long is a rare thing!!

24/08/2025: All pizzas available as gluten free, vegan (no cheese) by request. Very affordable & thin pizzas , went 3 times while my stay in the area, ideal for lunch & snack.

17/08/2025: Simply the bar at Locri station. A wide selection of granitas, family-sized ice creams, and the best brioche in Locri. Recommended.

12/07/2025: We've come a long way and recently visited this place. Beautiful location, but we found the cocktails to be low in alcohol and high in ice, and honestly, spending all that money (1 cocktail plus 1 non-alcoholic drink €14!!!!!!!) isn't worth it. I appreciate the fact that it's run by young, hard-working people, but there's a lot of room for improvement. #DON'TLETITALL

21/09/2025: A beautiful beach resort with an old-marina-style atmosphere and below-average prices. Excellent service in Bagnara.

21/09/2025: Like every year, I went to this beach resort to spend a day at the beach in Scilla. Spoiler alert: this year it was a nightmare, and we had to leave during the day. Let's start with the reservation: we wanted to reserve two umbrellas, and throughout the week, from Monday to Friday, we called the number listed on Google multiple times, with no answer. On Saturday morning, we arrived and managed to find the last two remaining umbrellas. We decided to take one, because the second was very close to the shower, thus subjected to constant jets of water. In our group, there was a disabled person, who decided to stay at the restaurant table. Since each table has a central pole, making it uncomfortable for anyone in a wheelchair, he asked to be able to sit at a table with the standard four poles. The owner replied that we had to find a solution, since the beach resort is accessible, and that there was nothing she could do about it (in her opinion, a disabled-accessible restroom is enough to establish the accessibility of the entire facility). After telling her that it's her job to accommodate guests' requests and speaking with her lawyer, whom the owner had called to emphasize the facility's accessibility, we managed to borrow a table from a nearby beach club. We had lunch (no comment on the service) and after lunch we decided to stay partly at the table and partly under the umbrella. Suddenly, the owner arrived, inviting the disabled person to move, as there was a DJ set scheduled where they were. We told her we wanted to leave the beach club, and she continued to reiterate that her facility was accessible. I don't think we'll be returning. Fun fact: at the end of the day, despite having the appropriate tag on the windshield of our car, we found a scooter parked next to the disabled passenger door, blocking their entry. Needless to say, the scooter belonged to one of the beach club employees.

20/10/2025: The pizza was delicious, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the owner even offered coffee and liquor at the end of the evening. The atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful, with much-appreciated background music. I highly recommend it, and if I were to return to Reggio, I'd definitely return. The only downside is that it's in an area where parking is hard to find, but everything else makes up for the negatives.

23/09/2025: The pizza isn't even bad (except for the burnt edges). But the truly exhausting wait, at times ridiculous even to order, ruins everything. Let alone the pizzas... it takes almost an hour, and they don't even respect the order in which the various tables arrive. People who arrive later eat before others who have been seated for a while... The staff ignores you, except for the guy I believe was the owner, who was also generally friendly and kind. Avoid.

21/08/2025: Excellent cook, amazingly well received, but the portions are decidedly small for the price...7 euros for a caponata with 3 slices of onion and 2 tomatoes is definitely excessive, but where there's taste there's no loss.

07/04/2025: Advertising is like lies, they have short legs... I have to say that I was very disappointed with everything, quality and price. I paid €20 for a house appetizer, but it wasn't even worth €5 in quality and proportion. All recycled stuff, reheated on the spot, and of terrible taste. Not to mention the super salty and raw bread made with pizza dough, so I'll leave you to imagine what the pizza was like. The only thing that was criticized was the name of the dish. If I can give you some advice, change jobs... restaurateurs are born, you can't just invent them on the spot.

31/08/2025: My friends and I called this beach club to see if there was a table for three. We were told we could go there within 15 minutes of calling. In reality, when we arrived after the 15 minutes indicated, we were told they'd seat us shortly, but it took an hour before we were actually given a table. Our order was taken by a waitress who wasn't particularly friendly, unlike the rest of the staff, who were much more welcoming. I ordered a mixed fried fish dish that didn't list sausages among the ingredients listed, but they were included in the dish. I personally don't eat pork, and if they had been listed, I would have had them removed before ordering. For me, it wasn't a big problem, but for someone with allergies or sensitivity to meat, it would have been more of a hassle; simply pointing them out would have been enough.

23/09/2025: Best pizza for a long time, the base was fresh and tasty, plenty of juicy toppings on the pizza too. Cooked with fresh ingredients while we waited 😋😋 Can't wait to go back. Thanks for the huge pizza 🍕👍🙏

18/09/2025: 😋😋 Wow! 😋😋🍕🍕 After a long, hot days sail we saw the Pizzeria Barrel wasn't too far from where we were anchored 🤔 We decided to get a pizza to eat on the boat ⛵. So glad we did for €14 we got a pizza that even the two of us found filling and Frittata as a side. The pizza was just what we needed, hot, a large size and delicious 😋😋 The toppings were fresh and just right and the base was amazing ♥️, the potato Frittata were hot and chunky, we couldn't finish them all to be honest.
