18/08/2024: For the review I consulted my granddaughter who is learning to judge the places we frequent and this is her opinion: "excellent pizza, good chips, friendly and quick waiters, small but well furnished place". Seven years later. August 16, 2024. A special evening at the Calypso camping village in Marina di Caulonia. La luna, the restaurant by the sea, a beautiful and large company of various European nations (Italians, Germans and a Dutchman), who for years have chosen Calypso to spend the summer on the sea of ​​the Ionian coast of Calabria. A special dinner with a single dish "fusilloni with cucuzzelli spinusi", the famous spiny wild artichokes widespread on this coast. A "five-star" cook, Antonella, who was able to introduce and enjoy a typical local dish that will remain in the memories of all the participants (18). And, finally, local ice creams (truffles) proposed by the village director, Marco, concluded a well-presented and well-served dinner. The positive opinion on the dinner was shared by all the guests, including children and teenagers (5 out of 18).

17/08/2024: The former restaurant and pizzeria no longer exists. We ate there last summer and, like all the years before, it was very good. It is closed or moved to a hut on the beach. The quality is no longer what it was back then. The pinsa was a finished floor with little covering. Coperto per person 2 euros. In a beach shack... That's it for the Calypso chapter. Too bad.

03/10/2024: Abbiamo preso un impepata di cozze e un piatto di parmigiana con il pesce spada, cibo fresco e buono. Il locale è pulito e ordinato ed ancora in piena attività. La spiaggia e il mare sono stupendi in questa zona.

22/09/2024: Ristorante eccellente. Sono celiaco, ma sono riuscito a magiare un panino con lo spada, senza glutine, che mi ha fatto dimenticare la mia patologia. Consiglio a chiunque e, a maggior ragione, a chi ha il mio problema. P.S. Ho esordito con la pepata di cozze, da non perdere!!!

11/08/2024: Yesterday we ordered two takeaway pizzas, one with pistachio and mortadella and the other with frankfurters and chips. Delicious pizzas and a fair price, well deserved indeed. Friendly and helpful staff. We appreciated it

06/08/2024: Abbiamo mangiato dei panini e delle piadine normalissimi a prezzi spropositati. Inoltre, abbiamo pagato un coperto di 2 euro a persona per mangiare su una tavola apparecchiata soltanto con una tovaglietta. Da evitare.

Il titolare dovrebbe investire di più sul personale con formazione e professionalità, non si può mettere a servire una ragazza, con tutto rispetto che nemmeno parla… tanto che ho fatto fatica a capire quanto dovevo pagare, oltretutto neanche in grado di dare il resto. Parlo della ragazza bionda! Una lumaca è più veloce di lei nel servire un cliente. L unica cosa positiva è che il gelato è sempre ottimo!

11/08/2024: One star for the environment because the site where the tables are placed is poorly maintained: poor cleaning both on the tables and on the floor. We asked for 2 gin and tonics, the girl was unable to present either decent gins or tonic water (choosing at random between 2 unknown proposals I was lucky enough to stumble across a fever three, but the girl didn't know it). No appetizers, I asked for peanuts or chips. I got them, but at a high price. I paid 32 euros... Obviously the seafront and the strait are beautiful and fascinating, but there are certainly better places to stop

11/08/2024: Disappointing experience. I went to the aperipesce with high expectations, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The food had no taste at all! The dishes looked inviting, but every morsel was bland and lacking in taste. I expected to taste freshness and strong flavors. I won't go back and definitely won't recommend it to anyone.

18/08/2024: Ice cream of questionable quality: it left a sandy residue in the mouth, too pasty in the mouth and the flavor was not well identified. The service can be improved, there is little attention towards the customer. The cleanliness leaves something to be desired, the tables outside were covered in a greasy film and the fake grass on the floor was dark gray and not green as it should be.

31/08/2024: I found myself in this restaurant for a ceremony unfortunately I didn't take photos because it looks ugly during the ceremony but I guarantee you a fish menu we ate a buffet an appetizer 2 first courses and a second course all very good generous portions I recommend it if you are in these parts stop.

17/08/2024: La positiva esperienza di una cena ottima con antipasti caserecci ben cucinati e giro pizza tra amici organizzata a metà luglio , è stata confermata dal panino con pescespada consegnato in spiaggia per il tramonto il 13 di agosto. Soddisfatta!

13/08/2024: Mare e lido stupendo. Ma il ristorante e da evitare non tanto per il cibo ma per il servizio. Ragazzi non preparati per il servizio a tavola e cucina lentissima. Mi hanno portato l'ordine dopo due ore per due fritture. Nei tavoli si lamentavano tutti.

07/08/2024: devo dire che il cibo è veramente ottimo,per non parlare del personale…dai camerieri ai parcheggiatori veramente eccezionali educati e gentilissimi,non ho trovato nessun difetto spero vivamente di ritornarci al più presto
