13/08/2025: We visited this place during the week of August 15th and found a table right away. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they knew how to manage the dining room well. We went to Don Rocco because we'd seen a fantastic aperitivo featuring both cooked and raw fish at a special price on Instagram, but in the end we opted for several dishes to share and sample. Pleasantly surprised, we recommend the peppered mussels... sublime to say the least! The view was spectacular, next to the Norman cathedral in a truly picturesque little square.

24/08/2025: We were greeted very warmly. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only flaw with the mixed fried fish was that they served completely cold and raw shrimp, describing it as fresh. After pointing this out, they immediately remade the dish, specifying that the shrimp were cold because they had been frozen, as you can't always have fresh fish. What a shame.

26/08/2025: A welcoming and refined place, perfect for spending an evening with friends. The scialatelle with creamed peppers, stracciatella cheese, and crispy bacon are delicious, as are the veal rolls with speck and smoked scamorza cheese. This will definitely be a new meeting place!

07/09/2025: I ate at this pizzeria with my family, choosing based on the reviews I'd read. I'll start by saying that I'm a restaurateur, and to be honest, I found everything very 1970s. 1. Poor customer service. Two swinging beachfront garden tables that barely fit a pizza plate. 3 When the waiter clears the dirty plate between courses, he advises us to keep our forks (perhaps they're short on utensils). 4 I read reviews of high-quality products (the porcini mushrooms on my pizza tasted watery and bad, and since when do you inform them that speck becomes extremely salty and inedible?) 4 I also noticed that the waiters serving the tables help the pizza chef to top the pizzas behind the cashier's back, all in front of the customer who pays the bill. 5 We asked for the bill, and the cashier even showed up with her mouth full and still eating. LASTLY, I HEARD THAT THEY CAN EVEN HANDLE 400-500 people IN AUGUST. Given the location, in the center of Amantea, it's certainly possible, but it would be appropriate to improve. All this to give dignity to the CALABRESE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY. Sorry for the outburst, but we can and must do better, especially in 2025.

Dopo mirata ricerca, ho avuto il piacere d’imbattermi nell’azienda della Famiglia Sgambelluri e di effettuare un ordine internet con loro. Non potevo fare una scelta migliore! Servizio efficientissimo, ordine confezionato e consegnato con grandissima cura, garbo e precisione. Ricevuto a tempo di record. Prodotti di qualità ottima e dal gusto delizioso : l’eccellenza dell’artigianalità locale, in grado di rappresentare al meglio il Made in Italy a livello internazionale! Complimenti meritatissimi all’azienda Sgambelluri ed alla prossima!!!

03/07/2025: Borgo Rosso di Sera is a true gem. Tucked away on a peaceful hillside overlooking the sea, it offers stunning views, 5 star food and service, and comfortable rooms. We had a cozy suite that accommodated 2 adults and 3 children. The property is beautifully landscaped and designed. There was also a cute playground, a lovely pool, and a hot tub. The dinner we had was one of the best meals and best service I've experienced, and I live in a city that is known for its excellent restaurants, so we have high standards. We would have loved to have stayed for much longer, but sadly, we found Borgo Rosso di Sera at the last minute as we were passing through Soutern Italy. I would love to return one day though.

The staff is extremely kind and helpful, the food is locally sourced and authentic, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Laura, with her unbiased but spot-on advice on places to visit, made our holiday even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for those seeking a relaxing and authentic stay.

16/08/2025: I spent a few days at this agriturismo and it was a truly pleasant surprise. Surrounded by olive and citrus groves, it's the perfect place to relax and connect with Calabria's fragrant, authentic nature. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The rooms are simple but clean, and the location is excellent, allowing you to reach the sea and all the picturesque villages of Locride. I highly recommend it.

21/07/2025: Pizza buona e personale veloce e disponibile. Ci hanno fatto aspettare un pò alla cassa ma con il pienone di gente ci sta. Staff gentile e premuroso, prezzi onestissimi. Conosciamo qst pizzeria da anni e facciamo tappa ogni volta che siamo da quelle parti, ci siamo sempre trovati bene. Anche i rustici buonissimi. Tramezzino veramente ok. Unica nota dolente non si può mettere nella stagnola la pizza da portare via

21/08/2025: Two pasta dishes were excellent, plentiful and tasty: one with mussels and clams, the other with porcini mushrooms. The menu is all seafood, except for the pizza, of course. I don't eat fish, but they made me happy by preparing a delicious mushroom pasta dish. Thank you! Friendly and smiling staff. Recommended.
