08/09/2024: Nice place found by chance. Relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. Lots of outside tables. Everything well looked after and clean. Good service, but unfortunately my pizza was not good. Burnt and, even worse, served with a hole!! From experience I know that pizza should NEVER be served with holes in it. For me this is a big flop. The cutting board, which unfortunately I don't have photos of, was really good. especially the meatballs although a little pricey at €30 (even if for 2 people). We will definitely return because I imagine the cuisine is better than the pizzeria but it is definitely worth trying.

06/04/2025: A total disappointment (except for the animation) Evening to forget. I had specifically booked a table in the room where the karaoke took place, but as soon as the waiter with glasses arrived - rude and not at all helpful - he made me sit at the entrance, away from the entertainment and completely out of context. Despite the reservation, he insisted that there were no seats available in the right room... too bad that in the middle of the party there was a table of 12 completely free. Only thanks to the intervention of the animator (the only professional of the evening, really good) were we able to move where we had asked from the beginning. So the table was there, sure enough, it was there. The problem was just terrible and poorly managed service. And then, let's talk about pizza? A culinary catastrophe. The sauce was inedible, it seemed to be made with leftovers from a cheap canteen, completely tasteless and... disturbing looking. Really, stuff that makes you miss frozen pizzas from the discount store. In summary: Nice place? Yes. Top animation? Absolutely. Service and food? A nightmare. Never again. And I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to eat decently or be treated with any modicum of respect.

22/07/2024: Non conforme menù esposto, abbiamo pagato molto per quello che abbiamo preso.in pratica aveva un menù completo non rispettando il prezzo esposto segnalato alla proprietà il disagio ma non avuta nessuna risposta.

05/05/2024: Trattoria Griglieria con banco del Pesce in vista. Pesce veramente fresco e cucinato con rispetto senza fronzoli, privilegiando la freschezza. Prezzo ragionevole e personale educato.

09/03/2025: We ordered Schnitzel and Chips for the child, a small plate of mixed meatballs. Cutlets have arrived (frozen like those in the supermarket, complete with chips in a bag). My meatballs (all frozen) also included potato faces from the supermarket. The words *frozen product are nowhere to be found and the waiter didn't say anything. I thought I had seen a lot, but absolutely failed. Never again.

24/02/2025: È il secondo locale con recensioni negative dove, invece, mangio bene (il primo è il Sakura a Catanzaro). Nonostante le recensioni, siamo andati in cinque a visitare i castelli ed il centro di Cleto (bellissimi) e, tra un castello e l'altro, abbiamo pranzato in questo locale. Oltre al solito antipasto, abbiamo mangiato degli ottimi fusilloni con ragù di maiale e funghi, grigliata mista, bibite, fragolata, caffè e chiacchiere, ed abbiamo trovato tutto buono, persino l'acqua ed il pane... Il servizio è stato eccellente, con camerieri sempre attenti ai tavoli e pronti a portare quello che si finiva. Per le stoviglie, solo i coltelli avevano il manico consumato, ma erano puliti e tagliavano bene. Per il resto, giudicate dalle foto...

28/12/2024: Different pizza compared to the previous manager, that one is unparalleled! However, it remains a good product, of a higher level than the rest of the other pizzerias, the price could be lower given the simplicity of the product and the ingredients which seem to be those from the supermarket. We must also add some advice to the managers, to put the ingredients of the pizzas in the window and separate the pizzas, differentiating the vegetarian ones from the gluten-free ones and in any case reporting this information. Overall, a good place that I recommend.

04/10/2024: Sesto anno consecutivo di soggiorno. Ogni volta, l'ultimo giorno di permanenza é sinonimo di malinconia, perché si fa fatica a pensare di dover rinunciare a tutte le coccole che la gestione familiare ti riserva durante il soggiorno. Andando con ordine, la posizione del Gabbiano non ha eguali: la finestra della stanza affaccia sul mare distante a occhio e croce 30 metri. Le volte (poche, fortunatamente!) che ci siamo trovati a svegliarci presto, abbiamo visto nascere il sole dal mare: come dire, lo spettacolo é assicurato. Le stanze sono sicuramente spartane ma essenziali: i letti sono comodi ed il buon riposo é assicurato. La colazione é all'italiana: cappuccino e brioche, yogurt, marmellate, frutta e succhi. La sera, lo staff della cucina vi accoglie con il sorriso, la competenza e una professionalità senza eguali. Davide, il maître, sarà probabilmente la figura che più rimpiangerete quando lascerete il Gabbiano! Si fa in quattro per accontentarvi con il supporto e la pazienza della chef Alessandra che ai fornelli da il meglio di sé, senza dimenticare il lavoro di Diamante: omen nomen. Il fatto che ormai ci sia una clientela fissa ogni estate la dice lunga sulla qualità del servizio che il Gabbiano offre: chi ci viene una prima volta fa fatica a non ritornarci.

06/01/2025: I hadn't been there for quite a few years, today I went back out of necessity, and honestly I found excellent quality, which I didn't imagine after the very bad experience a few years ago, it was a meeting point until the 2000s then, we were very disappointed, but today I hope it returns to the way it once was, I will return

04/01/2025: Tanto per cambiare sbagliano sempre gli ordini, soprattutto per le pizze da asporto. Orari biblici, condimenti buoni ma pesanti. Lì vedo poco organizzati e non capisco perché. Mi sa tanto che Cannavacciuolo deve farci un’altra visita :)

07/03/2025: Family lunch, beautiful view, of course we are on the sea, unfortunately the food at least for what I ordered was not great... mixed fried food, grilled fish, appetizer etc... I want to stop at the prawns... how is it possible to bring out prawns full of shit? As a colleague I have never done it, I would never do it, it is truly disgusting and unprofessional. The star is higher than yours...

07/02/2025: I stop for lunch while I'm working and I'm passing through Torre Melissa. I find it a small oasis of paradise, a very quiet and welcoming room, with friendly and kind but above all prepared staff. Starter very well presented and with fresh ingredients. The view of the sea is also splendid
