18/05/2026: In a charming location (both inside and in an outdoor gazebo on one of Brindisi's main streets), you can enjoy excellent dishes, both seafood and meat. I enjoyed the cacio e pepe (truly delicious) and the mixed antipasti (abundant). The staff is friendly and courteous. Reservations are recommended on weekends. The price is average.

But be prepared to be guided along a predetermined path by owner Michele, who manages everything from the wine to the meat. He offers a tourist menu for everyone, where meat reigns supreme in a variety of ways, including scaloppine. You sit down and eat without any options; anything you don't eat is wrapped up and taken home.

20/04/2026: Five stars for this grill restaurant with excellent appetizers including bruschetta, traditional cured meats and cheeses, carpaccio, and meats with a local flavor. Everything is delicious, from the pork sausage, veal sausage, hamburgers, guinea fowl, veal steaks, and the melt-in-your-mouth meat sauce, to the homemade desserts made by the owner Michele's wife, a wonderful person with a heart of gold who hosted a Paralympic athletics team of kids and their parents. 16/05/2026: A modern, welcoming restaurant with all the amenities. The staff was quick and friendly. The wait for the meat wasn't very long, partly because it was made easier by the bruschetta and vegetables provided on the house, and the option to order appetizers and sides at the table. The French fries and "ash" potatoes were superb. The sugary taralli served at the table were delicious, and the homemade dessert was excellent, along with a wide selection of sweet treats. Highly recommended.

14/06/2026: Discovered by chance. It was just the two of us for lunch. Freshly prepared, country-style cuisine. The panciotti cacio e pepe were very flavorful, while the fettuccine alle verdure were more delicate but equally delicious. The owner chatted with us. We had a country atmosphere and ate lunch outdoors. The interior was welcoming.

28/05/2026: Last Saturday I had dinner at La Locanda del Macellaio, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. As soon as we arrived, the staff was immediately disorganized: after queuing to order, they gave us our table numbers and we began to wait. The place was packed, and the noise was deafening, making it difficult to communicate with each other or with the waiters. The wait was excessive: we waited about two hours before our first courses arrived. The Angus steak was tough and flavorless. Next came the ribs, the bombette, and the knife-point sausage, but unfortunately, all the meat was completely burned rather than well-roasted, making it impossible to appreciate the flavor. The only positive note of the evening was the fries, which were really good. For four of us, we spent about €200, an absolutely excessive amount for the quality of the food and the service we received. Overall, an experience I wouldn't recommend.

24/04/2026: A great place for meat lovers. The setting is simple, but I wasn't there for the decor. Not knowing what to order, I went for the €25 set menu (drinks included) to try several dishes. It was enormous for one evening. I couldn't even finish the last plates. Everything was delicious from start to finish. The homemade limoncello is also very good. Thank you for the attentive and friendly service.

15/05/2026: A place I highly recommend for everything. The owner is friendly and very helpful. I always visit this corner of paradise whenever I can. Poggiorsini, despite its small size, offers many natural recreation opportunities, in addition to being a beautiful village. Kudos also go to the municipal administration, which has successfully revitalized the area.

15/04/2026: A very charming little restaurant, located in a small village square with a wonderful view. We stumbled upon it by chance on Easter Monday, looking for a last-minute lunch option, and we couldn't have been luckier. Excellent traditional dishes and many very friendly young waiters. We'll be back.

03/05/2026: A casual but very nice place. We went here on a holiday, so we had to book in advance. The place is centrally located. The food was very good, featuring typical local dishes. Even the dessert was excellent. The staff was very kind! For me, the only downside was the space; they put four of us at a table for two. But we overlooked it since it was a holiday.
