20/09/2025: Luigi and Antonella run a unique Braceria with heart and passion. As is typical in a Braceria, you choose your meat from the refrigerated counter, which is then grilled to perfection(!) on a five-meter-wide grill over olive wood embers. The "side dishes" and antipasti are every bit as good as the outstanding meat. So, if you're craving something different after days of fish and seafood, the well-signposted 15-minute drive from Monopoli takes you inland, where you can indulge in delicious wines and delicious desserts. The team quickly and with a smile on their faces rocks even a full house with easily 100 seats. You sit under a huge pergola with good lighting on comfortable chairs. Free parking is available behind the house. Of course, it's not exactly cheap for fans of special and international cuts, but it's affordable compared to Germany, and all the better. 15 out of five points!

12/09/2025: Love coming to this place when I visit Puglia on holidays. Great quality meat and side dishes. I enjoy the house red wine too. Staff are very friendly and always a great price for the food.

14/09/2025: We arrived in Puglia yesterday and were hungry. Restaurants here naturally open later than in Germany. Calogero opens as early as 7:00 PM, and the reviews were very good. Absolutely right. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation. If you're looking for a sea view, you've obviously come to the wrong place. But the food is excellent. We had Scottish beef tagliata, grilled and fried vegetables, a pizza, wine, water, a sorbet, and espressos. All of the finest quality. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. Of course, there was also water for our dog. We will definitely visit the restaurant again. Many thanks to the whole team. Continued success. 08/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant during a visit to Lecce. The beef burger was super good, the orecchiette with tomato sauce and delicious meatballs were delicious, the octopus with a soft and tasty sauce was tender, and the sausages were excellent. The waiter was kind and professional.

31/08/2025: Today we ordered a takeout fried food for two, which cost €16, but it was a typical restaurant portion for one person. Misleading advertising, and the fried food was good, but frozen. I was thinking of returning for dinner, but I want to avoid another disappointment. Furthermore, the prices for takeout dishes other than fried food are exorbitant. How much would the same dish cost if I sat down?

05/10/2025: Restaurant directly connected to the butcher's shop just outside Alberobello. We chose the medium-rare rib-eye steak, but as it wasn't very thick, it was a bit overcooked. Plastic dishes. The charcuterie and cheese platter is excellent. I've never had such good ricotta.

13/07/2025: La qualità del cibo e dei prodotti che utilizzano è elevatissima ed imparagonabile con qualsiasi altro ristorante-pizzeria. I tempi di attesa variano, di solito però è meglio prenotare per star sicuri di trovare un posto. La consiglio vivamente. Il luogo è pulito, ampio, si affaccia direttamente sul mare. Unica pecca, e dico unica davvero, sono i costi un po’ elevati, ma d’altronde comprensibile data la qualità di ciò che offrono.

01/10/2025: A lovely place, I'd say. It's improved over the years, and the management may have changed too! The specialty is the ricotta forte with olives and tomatoes, which they deliver as soon as they arrive. They open their doors for the appetizer! The appetizer was quite good, the meat could have been cooked less, but overall I was satisfied! All this included in the €35 menu, including wine, dessert, and limoncello! Very fair price.

28/09/2025: A former leather tannery has been transformed into a very unique location, so it takes on a special charm. Excellent food, we had a rib-eye steak and a pizza, and the dishes were clean. Excellent craft beer. Very popular service, even though it was a Saturday, so it was quite crowded. The only criticism I can make is the waitress, Maria... I'm sorry, she was Exceptional... Hahaha.... Jokes aside, she knew how to engage us and give us advice, resulting in excellent service. Well done, Maria...indeed. Thank you. If I pass by here again, I'll definitely be back.
