14/02/2026: Small grill restaurant, efficient and very friendly staff. The €20 menu (drinks not included) includes a carpaccio appetizer, a charcuterie and cheese platter, and an excellent focaccia. The mixed grill was very good and plentiful. We'll definitely be back.
24/01/2026: Review: Disappointing experience (especially on a Saturday) We visited this restaurant on Saturday night, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't the best. Here are the main reasons: Too small space: The restaurant is definitely too small for the flow of customers it accommodates. You're crowded, the atmosphere quickly becomes chaotic, and you literally feel overwhelmed by the crowd. It's crucial they consider expanding. Biblical wait times: We waited an hour just to order. Such a wait is unjustifiable, even considering the weekend peak. Food quality: The most disappointing aspect was the horse meat, which unfortunately arrived very tough and difficult to eat. Tip: If you really want to try it, definitely avoid Saturdays. Currently, the management of volumes and the quality of service aren't up to the level of the chaos it creates.

25/02/2026: Six of us sat down and after the blessing of the table and those present, a procession of 100% local delicacies took place: Burrata di Andria (PGI) with stracciatella made from stretched curd, parmigiana with ancient ragù, Sponsali (young and tender spring onions, elongated, with a white bulb, shredded and creamy), Seared beef fillets, Fried Bombette with seaweed and rosemary, Burnt wheat orecchiette with turnip tops and ... -last- (but first on our scale of appreciation)- bronze-drawn spaghettoni, square-section, cooked San Giuanniello style (100% Mediterranean, recipe not explained here, go there)! We couldn't order anything: young Antonio, the restaurant's key asset, brought everything, having chosen to stay here with us in the South (long applause). After lunch, he showed us the underground space beneath the restaurant: an incredible place, purchased and hand-dug by Antonio's father and family; meter after meter, it was an abandoned place filled with rubble and waste. A careful, flawless restoration; essential, understated; the result is an elegant, welcoming atmosphere; you feel part of the place's history. This is the Southern Italy we love. Greetings to Sergio, Domenico, Annibale (he takes notes but doesn't write, he delegates me now), Liberato, and Mario. WARNING: do not open the door at the back of Shoeshine's cellar: it leads to a hand-dug tunnel that leads to Canosa, and emerges (it is said) in front of the Cathedral of San Sabino, the arrival point of stage 14 of the Way of William.
05/02/2026: A quick business lunch, served even after 2 pm. Friendly staff, small but cute and pleasant place. We ate well, in good quantities, and at a fair price. A great deal!

10/03/2026: A short, sad story! We're in Altamura... my wife is pregnant and we have an 8-year-old child. We've been out and about since early in the morning and can't wait to have dinner (we were so hungry) and go to a place we'd booked to rest. Due to health problems, my wife can't eat (pizzas, panzerotti, etc.). So I decide to do some research on grill restaurants and this place pops up, Thursday, March 6th. Google shows me 7:30 PM as the opening time. We show up at 7:30 PM, and... the dining room isn't set yet, vegetable boxes on the tables. The owner turns around in surprise, and I very kindly and politely ask if we can eat. In a very annoyed tone, he tells me we have to come back in an hour (8:30 PM). Undecided whether to wait somewhere else or find another solution, we decide to go to a bar to pass the time and then return. At 8:20 PM we return and... surprise! People are already seated for dinner (we could have arrived early too) and there's no room for us! Everything's booked!!! My compliments!!! From 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the gentleman fills the place!!! During the week, on a Thursday!!! (The government will be happy.) My impression? My accent is Salento... And he thought it was our last chance to eat! But instead, my dear! Luckily there WAS NO TABLE in your place... because we discovered a fantastic place where we ate like GOD and were treated wonderfully and pampered! Not to mention the price (which doesn't matter to me if I eat well). Best regards! And see you never again! I hope your place is always full and that there's never any table! That way people go eat elsewhere 😉
25/01/2026: There was a hair stuck in the meat, which turned out to be mediocre. The service was slow and at times nonexistent. The menu price was €29, not €22 as advertised on Instagram (the torcinelli were missing, which they said should be ordered separately). And to make matters worse, the cashier looked at us with a disgusted expression and said, "How poor!" when he saw we'd only ordered two bottles of water. Totally unmet expectations. If this is their idea of ​​a restaurant, I'm giving it a resounding no. I won't be returning!

Then the chaos began: over two hours just waiting to place the order, asking repeatedly. After ordering, the food arrived one hour later. No apologies, no explanations.
