30/07/2026: We dined at this wonderful restaurant in Manciano and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service impeccable, but it's the food that truly makes the difference. ​We started with exceptional first courses: the pappardelle with wild boar ragù was flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the paccheri with eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and fresh ricotta was an explosion of freshness and flavor. ​For the main course, the wild boar stew was incredibly tender and rich in flavor, accompanied by crispy roasted potatoes scented with rosemary. A true delight for the palate! ​And to round things off, we couldn't miss the dessert: a brownie with vanilla and berry ice cream, garnished with fresh fruit. A perfect ending to a superb dinner. ​If you're looking for authentic Tuscan cuisine, prepared with high-quality ingredients and passion, Rifugio in Manciano is the ideal place. Five well-deserved stars! We can't wait to return. It must be said that they use quality and genuine products.

20/05/2026: Picci and tagliatelle with ragu! Both were delicious. Excellent service and very friendly staff. We went with our baby and they had no problem giving us a highchair so he could sit with us at the table. I really wanted to try the tortellini!

15/06/2026: One word: UNASSEMBLED Small constructive criticism: Unbeatable except for the water and coffee. €4 for a bottle of water is a bit hilarious, €4 for a coffee is even more hilarious. But still, UNASSEMBLED. The best steak I've ever eaten. Top-notch staff, top-notch location, nice, large parking lot, delicious bread of various kinds. Nothing to say. I repeat, UNASSEMBLED.

The expertly aged fish developed an extraordinary depth of aroma: intense yet never overpowering flavors, elegant persistence, and impeccable texture. Dishes that encourage you to continue without ever tiring the palate. The linguine with creamed potatoes, mussels, calamari, and crumbled frisella bread is a perfect example of contemporary cuisine. A delicate yet incredibly rich and nuanced dish, each ingredient retains its own identity, contributing to a harmonious and perfectly balanced whole. The frisella bread provides just the right amount of crunch without overpowering the other ingredients, while the creamed potatoes elegantly tie everything together. The preparation of the scampi is also particularly fascinating: placed on a bed of boiling salt flavored with herbs inside a glass bowl, they are gently cooked using residual heat. This refined technique preserves the natural sweetness of the crustacean, resulting in a truly memorable soft and juicy texture. The service is simply impeccable. 15/08/2026: My review is a bittersweet mix. We came to try this osteria, which is practically in the center of San Giovanni; you can sit outside or inside, with a small room upstairs and a larger one downstairs. The place presents itself as a classic osteria, without too many frills, but with comfortable seating between tables. Our lunch was characterized by two distinct moments: the first part, where we had two mixed seafood appetizers, two paccheri allo scoglio and a tagliatelle with Chianina ragù, which were delicious. Then came the main course, which we must admit was a bit disappointing. The grilled meat was a bit overcooked and dry, and a bit expensive for the size of the dish. Then we had fried fish, which was overcooked and the fish was tough... For a side, we had fries, and to finish, a strawberry cake and a tiramisu, both very good. We would have eaten well if it weren't for those two dishes described. P.S. The fish was obviously fresh, and the staff was very friendly and professional. As for the price, it was a bit steep for the size of the dishes. But still, we'll definitely be back.

05/08/2026: A very good little restaurant. A bit hidden away. The dishes (seafood tagliatelle was excellent and spaghetti carbonara was very good – not the best, but very good) were generous and tasty. The service was impeccable. There were a few too many mosquitoes outside, which made us leave earlier than planned, but they couldn't do anything about it.

07/06/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch on Friday, two adults and our child. Three tables were occupied when we arrived, all by locals, which is exactly why we sat down. What Florentines themselves enjoy eating can only be good. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, including helpful advice, and the chef, who came out of the kitchen later, was very friendly. And our sometimes rather noisy child wasn't considered a nuisance by anyone. While we were there, the restaurant filled up, but the atmosphere remained totally relaxed. For us, it's an absolute hidden gem and highly recommended! Best regards from Vienna

12/06/2026: A truly idyllic restaurant that I highly recommend! The food was excellent! The owners are very friendly and offer more daily specials than what's listed on the menu. We didn't have a reservation and were there with our child and dog, but we were seated immediately. Definitely worth a visit!
