27/08/2025: Great place to eat classic Florentine sandwiches. Small but cozy, the waitress who served us was very pleasant, and, most importantly, the food was delicious. We ordered the Leonardo di Caprio and the Taylor Swift, and that same night Taylor Swift announced she was getting married. It was destined to be that sandwich. Joking aside, highly recommended.

26/08/2025: The best sandwiches I’ve eaten in Florence so far!!! A really good price and lovely calm atmosphere. The staff were super lovely as well, would definitely recommend!!!

23/08/2025: The best restaurant in the area with delicious, high-quality dishes. A special mention goes to the sommelier (Daniele), who is very knowledgeable and appreciated. The cellar is well-stocked with both local and international wines. The staff are friendly and provide efficient and fast service despite the unusual preparation of the dishes.

16/08/2025: Papaveri e Papere is a guarantee. The atmosphere is relaxing and elegant, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, even when it comes to wine selection. We had the seafood tasting, and every course was a harmony of flavors, everything was delicious; we were completely satisfied. I recommend reserving a table; it's very easy, even online.

22/08/2025: A casual, welcoming, and delicious place. If you can, sit on the terrace with a panoramic view. Good wine, excellent food (we tried the egg with pecorino and truffle, the paccheri alla carbonara with cod, and the zucchini risotto with basil oil and burrata), and friendly staff. In the heart of Cortona, this bistro offers simple yet innovative dishes, expertly crafted with seasonal ingredients. From aperitif to dessert, the dishes are well-balanced in flavor and combinations, offering an excellent dinner at prices in line with average fare. Great work, keep up the good work!

22/08/2025: We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance as we walked down from the Basilica of Santa Margherita. The tables with panoramic views and the exquisitely refined interior immediately won us over. The menu is varied and suitable for all palates, as is the selection of wines and beers. Although sophisticated, the portions are not lacking in size, leaving us fully satisfied at the end of the meal. Special mention goes to the duck pici, as well as the chocolate caprese cake (incredible!). The service was absolutely attentive, professional, yet friendly! If we were to return to Cortona, we would definitely book a table in advance so as not to miss out!

06/09/2025: Excellent place to try fantastic Colonnata lardo. Served with delicious cured meats and cheeses. The menu is a fixed price but generous. It's a small place, so reservations are recommended. The hosts are fantastic: friendly and knowledgeable. We'll definitely return if we're in the area. Highly recommended.

01/09/2025: A quaint restaurant just below the Colonnata square. Access is from the far end of the square, next to the Municipal Police station. A tunnel under the houses takes you to the steps on the left. Once you've reached the top, you're already inside. Cold cuts and traditional products are available. No set menu, or you can opt for a €20 entree to immerse yourself in the local flavors. The owner is friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.

10/08/2025: A very pleasant place with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The entire menu strikes the perfect balance between local tradition and a touch of originality and culinary creativity. The Coccio appetizers are excellent, with very flavorful vegan agnolotti and ravioli, and tripe "just like grandma's." The wine pairings are excellent, and the dessert is also very good. The price is more than adequate for the quality of the ingredients and the service. Highly recommended.

08/09/2025: We have eaten wonderfully here! The dishes were absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. We went for lunch but ate antipasti, primi and secondi, so it was a a bit more expensive but so so worth it. I think for the quality of food the prices are really really fair. Love this place and would highly recommend it!

05/09/2025: We found this place by chance during a visit to Certaldo in February. It was truly a fortunate discovery. The atmosphere is typical, a bit retro, and very pleasant. The owner is very kind and approachable, and willing to explain all the dishes we ordered. Everything was truly excellent, with an honorable mention for the onion soup. The price was absolutely reasonable for the quality of what we ate. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop for another meal.

20/08/2025: We dined at "Da Nada" restaurant two nights in a row. We stumbled upon it by chance the first night, but were so pleased with the food, service, and hospitality that we immediately booked again for the next dinner. Laura, who runs the restaurant with her husband, immediately inspired a great deal of warmth and love for her work! She's welcoming and empathetic, and she served us her delicious dishes with mastery. Lastly, I'd also like to point out that she even managed to provide excellent food for me, a celiac, by asking her chefs what they could serve me without risking gluten contamination! Truly superb. Highly recommended!

02/09/2025: I’ve been to nearly 100 craft breweries all over the world, not only is this one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting it’s also one of only 5 in all of Florence! AMAZING variety of craft beers all from Italy, easily the best (and one of the few) craft breweries I was able to find in Italy. Knowledgeable staff and impeccable vibes, make a point to have a pint (or three) here if you love great beer!

01/09/2025: We had dinner at Antica Locanda dell'Angelo. We enjoyed the freshness and quality of the dishes. The relaxing atmosphere made the evening special, and the service was excellent! We'll be back.

20/06/2025: Such good lasagna at such a price? Unbeatable, in my opinion. A large portion that even a big eater can eat, plus a Coke for a total of €8? In a location like this, near one of Florence's most famous sights? It can hardly be more affordable. Especially with such friendly service!

17/06/2025: An unassuming restaurant, but appearances can be deceiving. It's excellent. The lasagna and tiramisu were incredibly good. The owners were also very nice.

18/08/2025: A restaurant in Cetona where you can eat the best pici and more! We had pici with white ragù and red Chianina ragù. Delicious!! A tarte tatin with cherry tomatoes and burrata was incredibly tasty! Friendly and attentive service!

06/09/2025: Cozy little restaurant in the heart of town. Definitely understaffed, but incredibly polite and the food is so good that it’s worth the wait. I’ve got some Paccheri allo scoglio. No joke, they were some of the best I’ve had in my life!! Highly recommended!!

03/09/2025: I honestly don't think this place is worth the hype. After reading so many good reviews we booked a lunch there. The reservation was not necessary because the place was absolutely empty. We had tartare and beetroot tartare and then pasta with truffles and pasta with yellow tomatoes (this was absolutely the worst of the dishes we ordered). Menu seemed interesting but all the dishes we had were just mediocre, nothing special, they lacked the twist, flavour, the taste was very boring. All of them required additional seasoning. So we left disappointed. I don't see how this place could get Michelin recommendation, maybe it changed a lot since then? We had plenty of better meals in Tuscany. Yet this place is more expensive than most of the places in the area. On the good note, the stuff was nice and very attentive. Overall, I think you can easly skip this place if you are in the area and look for something else.
