20/11/2025: The place looks beautiful because of the view. I celebrated my wedding there on 09-10-2025, the room was very dirty. I had prepared my own menu, which was completely distorted. They served me casarecce with jarred pesto and pickled mushrooms (seven for each dish, all disgustingly soupy). You can imagine the pasta that even tasted of vinegar. No decorations whatsoever on the plates. The rude owner said to a local person (pick these up and take them away). Of course, I didn't hear you. And it was better because it would have ruined my wedding. They didn't even have the delicatessen to remove the dust from the wedding cake. On the bill, they charged me €200 for Aperol Spritz. They told me that my guests consumed them. When I calculated, it was only 11 and not 30 as they said. The star I gave only goes to the DJ, who was really good.

05/06/2025: Ho pranzato due domeniche fa in questo buon ristorante situato nel centro della città, dietro la Via Etnea. Sono rimasto molto soddisfatto dalla qualità del cibo proposto e dal servizio veloce e cortese (dal momento che purtroppo avevo l'aereo a breve). Ho preso maccheroni alla norma, cotoletta e torta al limone. Il ristorante ha una ricca carta di pietanze sia di carne che di pesce. Mi sento di consigliarlo a chi viene in città, considerando che non è facile trovare nella zona ristoranti altrettanto buoni. Spero io stesso di tornarci presto.

14/10/2025: Terrible experience. Extremely slow service, rude and disorganized staff. Poor quality food and watered-down drinks. Chaotic and poorly maintained atmosphere. I definitely won't be returning.

09/01/2026: Bar Progresso is an icon of Messina and has always been one of the bars with the best products. It's surprising to see so many negative reviews, but it doesn't matter. The people of Messina will always have this bar in their hearts, and a few reviews won't undermine their long and excellent work.

18/08/2025: I'm giving one star because I can't give zero. We got around 10:00. We took a lane to play number 9, which was malfunctioning, and that's not all. The lanes were asymmetrical (the ball always went in the opposite direction you pointed it). Really unpleasant. They didn't have a change machine, and they have games from year 0. Take other bowling alleys as an example.

03/11/2025: An exceptional experience with an al fresco lunch overlooking the sea. Quality dishes and excellent service. Prices are in line with the dishes.

14/07/2025: This bar also sells tickets for the Giamporcaro line. Today, there's a stop-and-go public transport strike. Many of us were waiting for the 11:00 bus, which didn't arrive. I went to ask if the 1:00 bus would arrive. The owner dismissed me brusquely, saying that the 11:00 bus had arrived because he'd sold 30 tickets that morning. If it hadn't, he'd have 30 people complaining, but instead, I was the only one. What can you say to someone who concocts such illogical sophistries?

05/08/2025: One-star prices! Avoid the aperitif. A platter of poor-quality cured meats and cheeses, served with a few slices of white focaccia: nothing more, for a whopping €20. Spritz not included. Absurd.
