12/04/2026: 3,5€ for a bagel and a Cornetto I think I got scammed its much cheaper elsewhere.
The waiters seemed nice the boss made the payment processing.
Apparently open until 2 but when I played at 1 the boss was annoyed
09/01/2026: Bar Progresso is an icon of Messina and has always been one of the bars with the best products.
It's surprising to see so many negative reviews, but it doesn't matter. The people of Messina will always have this bar in their hearts, and a few reviews won't undermine their long and excellent work.

30/05/2026: First time in Sicily. We tried their granitas and they were truly delicious!! The staff was very kind in their service and in advising us on what to try and visit in Sicily. We really enjoyed our stay. I absolutely recommend them.
27/05/2026: We arrived for an ice cream with the family, and everything immediately seemed a bit too oppressive. As we sat down at the table, we were brought the receipt with the request to get up as quickly as possible to proceed with payment, justifying the request with the simple "let's try to avoid confusion at the register."
It was a shame there were only 5 people in the entire bar, but more than 6 or 7 employees serving. We were constantly checked on and approached by the waiters with a rather annoying and disturbing attitude. It almost seemed like we were thieves planning to escape at any moment.

18/08/2025: I'm giving one star because I can't give zero. We got around 10:00. We took a lane to play number 9, which was malfunctioning, and that's not all. The lanes were asymmetrical (the ball always went in the opposite direction you pointed it).
Really unpleasant.
They didn't have a change machine, and they have games from year 0. Take other bowling alleys as an example.

29/04/2026: The service is unacceptable, incredibly slow. We waited 2 hours for a Mac wrap, and the clerk there told us to go to hell. I shouldn't forget that the clerk was impatient, and we had to go to 3 different people to ask for the order. We then had to reorder 3 times because it said it wasn't found.

08/03/2026: The worst I've ever been to. The sandwiches and fries were completely cold, and the cheese in the sandwiches was whole, not even slightly melted. The staff, all young, were rude and bordering on impolite. Dirt everywhere.

P.S.: You can ask where you can take boat, bike, or jeep tours; they'll be able to advise you.

Ridiculous check in procedure. Hopeless for people with physical issues.

15/05/2026: Having been notified two weeks in advance that a member doesn't eat meat, they only served a little green salad and a few slices of grilled zucchini and eggplant for the main course. Upon request for a proper main course, they served a spoiled, industrial-strength mozzarella. The baked pasta rings were overcooked and topped with only a little sauce and breadcrumbs. The industrial-strength ice cream, aged in the freezer and of terrible quality, was also served. For the packed lunch, the sandwich consisted of the same grilled vegetables. They didn't have an egg or a can of tuna!!!
