Given that I probably ate my tastiest sliced ​​steak in 40 years of traveling, I'd only make two minor observations, which should be taken as suggestions and not criticisms. When serving a tasting plate of assorted cheeses, it's always a good idea to indicate where to start; it's not always easy for the diner to understand. Since this is a family dinner on a Saturday night, there's no rush, and it's not a place with shifts, it's not a good idea to limit your appetizer intake because the first course is arriving and you'll eat it a little cold. No one's chasing us, but I can understand why some diners prefer the assembly line. In any case, we'll be back soon, and very willingly.

We tried several dishes – including the Lasagne verdi tradizionali, Tagliatelle al ragù bolognese, the green stuffed pasta, and, to finish, a fantastic tiramisu. Everything was superb: fresh pasta, intense flavors, and exactly the honest, down-to-earth cuisine you look for in Bologna. The lasagne was particularly delightful – perfectly layered, creamy, with a rich ragù, and prepared with great care. The tiramisu was also a worthy finale: light, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and the location in the Mercato delle Erbe creates a special atmosphere – vibrant, authentic, yet cozy. Here, you can feel the connection between tradition and modern Bolognese culinary culture. For anyone who wants to enjoy authentic pasta and regional specialties in Bologna, this is a definite recommendation. We would come back anytime! 🍝❤️

05/06/2026: We visited Bologna and stopped at the spice market and inside there is this bistro, a young, dynamic atmosphere. We treated ourselves to a nice platter of cold cuts accompanied by fried dumplings and nice hot focaccia. I recommend it.

19/05/2026: A small café with refined and excellent artisanal pastries, it serves excellent breakfasts. In good weather, there are also some outdoor seating. The aperitivo is also excellent, with a wide variety of options. It's superior to all the other cafés in the area.

10/06/2026: First time here for a gorgeous lunch based on tagliatelle al ragù specifically named “spadellata di tagliatelle al ragù” we could translate in “tagliatelle al ragù pan”. Infact pasta is served in a pan: quite 230grams of delicious pasta with ragù tomato sauce. Asked for some bread but be careful: not bread served but slices of piadina. You may see from pics before and after: not a drop of ragù has been left. After that some tiramisu with American coffee. Cake amazing too. Location: clean and typical bolognese osteria style. Staff: very kind, very polite, very friendly: they welcome you in a manner you cannot find anymore anywhere, thanks young ladies. What to say? I’ll be back shortly and I suggest you to take a look at!

08/06/2026: On the evening of Saturday, May 30th, before leaving the restaurant, after asking the cashier to transfer my drink from the glass to the plastic, he tried to convince me that I hadn't paid for it. After numerous explanations and providing proof of payment via electronic wallet, I was unable to convince him; he remained firm in his belief that I was dishonest. Not even my friends, who witnessed the payment, helped the situation. Furthermore, the brave cashier even withheld my drink (I repeat: that I had paid for). This is the first time in my honest life that I've experienced this kind of treatment. I strongly advise this person to study how to treat customers in the restaurant industry.

It's more of an osteria, given the variety of food, from main courses to simple sandwiches. Numerous events take place throughout the week, including concerts, shows, and various initiatives. A fun fact that perhaps not everyone knows: the name Wolf isn't the English translation of the word "wolf," but rather an abbreviation of the name Wolfrano (the restaurant's founder in 1960).

12/05/2026: It's 5 stars just because I can't give more, bravi bravi bravi! The food is simply delicious and the staff's service is impeccable. Waiters, waitresses, managers bartenders, cooks are all very young, kind, and professional. You can't tell the difference between gluten free and normal dishes and they are very through in making sure that there is no cross contamination. The strawberry tiramisú was THE BEST tiramisu I have eaten in my whole life 🍓 Grazie davvero ragazzi!!

The quiet and cool outdoor courtyard is lovely, perfect for a relaxing break even on the hottest days. The kitchen offers excellent traditional Bolognese dishes, well-prepared and truly appetizing. A special mention goes to the extensive gluten-free menu: from crescentine to lasagna, tortellini, and other typical specialties, all carefully prepared with taste and accompanied by excellent cured meats. The staff is very attentive to the needs of celiacs and follows very strict criteria. The wine list is also good and varied. Considering its central location and frequented by tourists, the quality/price ratio is truly excellent. A highly recommended place for those who want to enjoy authentic Bolognese cuisine, including gluten-free options.
